BCM cost
Hello Zacko_O How do I go about up dating my BCM. I have a OBD11, would I be able to do it with this?

BCM cost
Hello Joco776. Sorry, you have me confused as I know very little about the technical aspects. Can you explain what you mean by the "09 exchange statement", please? I do have an OBD11, would I be able to gather the required information with that?

BCM cost
I am having similar problems on my vehicle. After a front camera update by a Skoda dealer, I lost several features on the car. I had help from a Briskoda member, who re coded the lane control. I managed to reinstall the convenience drivers seat, but the ambient light palette has disappeared and I have been unable to reinstate it. I just get a message in the central screen that tells me the colour is dependent on the driving mode; changing the mode has no effect. I was told this is likely down to the BCM needing updating, but could this be down to a blown fuse. I did contact another Skoda dealer two days ago, asking them if they could update the BCM and was told that a diagnostic check would be required first and the nearest date they had for this was in July. I decided to wait. Anyone had a similar experience?

Electric windows & Cabin Light Colours.
The auto up & down on all four windows of my 2019 Superb 190 Tdi L&K Combi, has stoped working, nor will they open and close using the key fob. The other problem is, the colour palette for the "Background Lighting" colours, has disappeared. When I look up the Vehicle Information in the central display, I receive the message: "Selection of colours depends on "Driving Mode Selection" setting". Changing the driving mode doesn't make any change in the colours. Does anyone have a solution for these problems, please?

VCDS options on Superb III.FL
I had Lane Assist coded on to my Superb (it wasn't on from new, apparently) back in 2021 and had been working okay up until four weeks back, when the car was in for a pre NCT (MOT) check at a Skoda dealership, whilst there, they also updated the front camera software, which has wiped the coded Lane Assist. The dealership had an attempt at retrieving the coding, but without success and have now just given up on it. Does any do this coding, or know of someone that does, in Ireland, Munster region, or, any where in the SW of England / East Anglia, where I do visit a couple of times a year?

Lane assist is not available
My 2019 L&K Skoda Superb estate, didn't have lane assist activated when I bought it, used, from a dealership, in 2020 (who had as their demonstrator). I was told by the sales person that it did have lane assist, but by now, I was back in Ireland. However, one of the Briskoda members set it up for me when I visited the UK a few months later and apart from the odd occasion when it didn't activate, but was activated via the head unit, the system has worked fine, up until yesterday, when I had the vehicle in at a Skoda dealership for a pre NCT (MOT) check, when I asked them to upgrade the navigation maps, as well. It was returned, okay for the NCT, the front camera was updated, but getting back into the vehicle I noticed the lane assist wasn't working, but thought it was just another of those glitches that could be fixed via the head unit. When I arrived home, I tried to reset the LA, without success, so I had a go with my OBD11, for two other errors and reset them, but couldn't find any errors on the LA, so went through the apps on the OBD and tried to reload the LA, but the message came up that this was not available on this vehicle. Does anyone have a fix for this, please? I am due to go back to the dealership in a fortnight's time to try fixing the LA and the map update, but don't feel confident of it being fixed and would prefer to try doing it myself, first.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus Facelift
Hello Sasha. I would go along with Berisford, with regard to your knowledge of the Superb, you certainly sorted out my one, it's made the car a much more enjoyable experience, from moving the seat on getting in and out (very useful for the knee problem), to the lane guidance, I have found this very useful and reassuring on some of the long journeys I have undertaken since your coded the vehicle for these driving aids. I'm sorry to hear of your reasons for a change of vehicle. As the saying goes: "a change is as good as a rest", although I can't imagine your at rest for long. Enjoy your change and the GTE. Kind regards. Terry.

Spare wheel?
Thank you for your answer, Warrior193. The more I think about it, the more sense your answers make. Thank you.

Spare wheel?
Thank you, Carlston. I like easy answers, especially those that save money, as well. I'll check, and leave well alone, assuming the tyre is holding its pressure.

Spare wheel?
Does anyone know where I can purchase an extension for the tyre valve for the spare wheel in the well of my Combi? To check the tyre's pressure means removing the wheel from the well; which requires the styrene caddy for the jack and tools needs to be removed. An extension would enable me to check the wheel more conveniently and without this faffing around.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello mfizz. This is the only other screen I can find that may relate to "Lane Assist". I don't think it's the Lane Assist / Traffic Jam Assist. The car has Headlight Assist, so I would imagine the camera is okay for Lane Assist.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello mfizz. I think you are right, regarding which group you go to. Unfortunately, I am 40miles from my nearest dealership and around 70 miles to the next nearest two dealerships. Were it not for this Covid clampdown, I would have been visiting the UK in a weeks time, which has now been put back to late February 2021, providing there's no further increase of the virus. I have attached two photographs of the dash, showing the screen when the ignition is first switched on and the second showing the Assist System screen. These are all that come up. On a second note, can anyone explain what the petrol pump symbol on the left of the screen is supposed to depict? I understand the right hand side. Thank you all, for the help offered, it's greatly appreciated.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Still awaiting a call back from my Skoda dealer, regarding whether or not they can can upgrade my car's system to full "Lane Assist"; I'm beginning to feel as though I've been put on the back burner; they are supposed to be getting back to me about a few extras I wanted to buy. It does make me feel that Skoda have fallen behind on customer care, when compared to ten years back, or is it just me?

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
I have contacted my local Skoda dealer and they have done a VIN check and established that, the vehicle was supplied without "Lane Assist". I am now waiting to find out if they can install the software to establish it. Sounds as though it may be one of the 200 vehicles you mentioned, Sasha.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Thanks, Eric. That's another one for me to try if I don't get to sorted out here in Ireland. Ipswich is just 40 minutes away from where my son lives.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello Sasha. I do sometimes travel via Anglesey, I like the journey when I take that route to Norfolk, to my brother-in-law; far nicer than the M4 corridor, so I wouldn't rule it out. This is the VIN: TMBKJ7NP2L7007712 In case it's of any use. Thank you.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello again, AJAMESSR. I know where you mean. I tried them a few years back with my previous Superb, when the head unit went US. They couldn't do anything with it. Ended up sending it to a Polish guy in the UK, who sorted out the problem, updated the navigation maps and the firm ware, all for £100.00. Brilliant service. I may try and find his details and see if he could sort it out. I believe he was somewhere in Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire, so, not too far away from where I will be heading. Thanks for the information.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Thank you Sasha, this is starting to make sense and thank you everyone for taking the time to answer my question. Hopefully, my local Skoda dealer will contact me tomorrow with some information on whether they can undertake this re-programming, although from what has been mentioned here, it doesn't sound likely, in which case, so much for Skoda's reputation for customer satisfaction. Hopefully, again, I'm premature and wrong in that last condemnation. Does anyone know of anyone who can carry out this re-programming, preferably, along the corridor from Fishguard, to Suffolk? I can't think of anywhere in Ireland I could take it, other than a Skoda dealer.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
It has the Columbus head unit and virtual cockpit. I seem to remember that there were some changes to the standard fittings from time to time on the L&K and it may be that, Lane Assist and Road Sign Recognition, were extras on this model, which may not have been added to this demonstrator, although the sales person I spoke with seemed to think that Lane Assist was fitted and couldn't understand why I couldn't set it up in the menu; by this time, I was back in the UK, so it wasn't an option to go back to the dealer and they are some way from where I usually travel to in the UK, between South Wales and Suffolk.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello AJAMESR. Yes, the camera is definitely visible.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
Hello ChrisCH. I have tried to do this, but no joy. It shows front and side assist, but no, "Lane Assist". It also shows, "Road Sign Recognition", but the only signs so far, have been the speed signs and judging by how incorrect a few have been, due to changes in speed limits, it isn't seeing the speed signs, but is picking up on old navigation data. As for going down the DIY route, I wouldn't be comfortable with doing this and would, if I can not get my local Skoda dealer to do the job (contacted yesterday by e-mail and now awaiting their reply), I will try other sources in the UK when I am over next, in early 2021 (Covid restrictions allowing). Thank you for your help and advice. Eirhead.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
I recently imported a September 2019 L&K 190 Tdi Superb Combi, to Ireland. I'm sure the original advert (no longer available) stated that it had, "lane assist and road sign recognition". The vehicle has ACC and side assist, but lane assist doesn't appear to be there. It does recognise speed limits, but I believe that may be coming from the navigation system, but no other signs show in the display. Reading from these forums and a few other on-line sites, I gather these missing items are software add ons, which can be retrospectively activated, on payment for the programming to be done and for the software rights. Can anyone advise me if this is correct and if it is, can / will Skoda, carry out these upgrades, or whether there are any other companies that carry out these upgrades, please?

Hello All another Newbie.
Just joined; first time on here, although I have followed some of the topics for a few years. I am now on my second Skoda, a nine month old, 190PS Tdi Superb L&K Combi, which I have owned for just three weeks. My previous car was another Superb, a 2009 Elegance, 170Tdi, which I owned for ten and a half years and my reason for going for another Skoda.
