  1. I was trying to listen to something on internet radio and it will not work through the esim. It works when connected my home Wi-Fi, only good when outside the house, so thought I would try and get it working through my phone as a hotspot and you need to turn the esim off to turn on Wi-Fi.
  2. Hi Has anyone managed to set their phone as a hotspot and get the car to connect to it to use your phone data. I cannot get it to connect as it just says connection failed, my daughters phone says the same when she tried. I have a MIB3 columbus system. I have turned off the esim and in the wifi settings, I can see my phone and after I enter the password it just says connection failed, tried changing the password but still no luck. It will connect to my home wifi network without a problem when parked in the drive but not able to connect to a phone. Any help would be greatfull. Bill
  3. I don’t think you can update an MIB3 system in the UK either and still rely on OTA updates. Even though the update portal says how to do it I have not seen any posts of anyone in the UK doing it.
  4. Over a year with my Kodiaq and don't think I have toutched the park brake button. I just use the auto hold and let the car sort everything out and not had a problem. On boxing day coming home I got stuck in traffic due to an accident, I was just sat with the auto hold on and travel assist active and after a bit the car binged, applied the park brake and turnned off the travel assist as we had not moved for quite a while. I just let the car do what it thinks is best with the park brake 😜
  5. I would keep calling and emailing them to fix it. If in the future you either sell the car, you dont want a buyer testing the heated steering wheel and have the travel assist error pop up or if in for an MOT and they turn it on and the error comes up, not sure now if any fault lights are an MOT failure ( I am sure someone will know ).
  6. My travel assist problems seem to have been fixed. Another new steering wheel fitted ( steering wheel already replaced once with the error still appearing ) or the software to fix the sos must have done it, but no idea which one fixed it, maybe a bit of both.
  7. Cheers for the reply. I did think it was strange that it was saying you could manually update the maps now but I am sure I read somewhere that Skoda were going to make it possible for manual updates on MIB3 systems, but I guess it may be for newer cars from the factory not ones already on the road. I am not too worried about the maps, just wanted to try and get the radios logos so the screen looks nicer when listening to the radio.
  8. Hi, Has anyone managed to put radio logos into a MIB3 info system or uppdate the maps manually. The update portal says you can now update maps via usbc for MIB3 systems, but I don't think I need to do that yet, but was hoping that you could do radio logos but it still wil not find them on my usb drive. Cheers
  9. The car had a service last month so maybe they updated it, the only OTA updates recently have stated they were for the shop. This car cannot be manually updated only either in the garage or over the air.
  10. I have the columbus system in my car. I have added a video, is that what you were meaning. The sound at the end when the clock changes is just my dash cam turning off. IMG-60721.mp4
  11. Yes definitely an MIB3 head unit, car is a 70 plate. I just turned the engine off and sat there for about 5 mins and the clock was working as it should.
  12. Just tested mine and the clock changes. Turned the engine off and waited and the clock changed and also opened and closed the door and turned the info system on and the clock changed time.
  13. So far the new steering wheel seems to have fixed the fault. 🤞 Driven it a few times with and without the steering wheel heating turned on and no Travel Asist errors,
  14. This is the second steering wheel replacement. First didn’t fix it so fingers crossed this one will.
  15. I had the same and they have just replaced the steering wheel for the second time. Not had time to drive the car to see if it is really fixed
  16. I only asked as I have had the car since before the clocks changed last october, and I have not had to manually change the clock until now.
  17. Anyone else had to manually set the clock since they went back. It is set for GPS source so thought it would do it automatically but it didn’t.
  18. I have a usb with my music on and leave it plugged in all the time with no issues.
  19. Cheers for the info. I will get some from somewhere and sort it out.
  20. Never topped it up since I got the car. Will look into getting some 0w20 to top it up until the service. Just got to find somewhere that sells it.
  21. My car is on a fixed service interval, first service booked for end of October It is almost a year old now and like I said, it was on yesterday and I checked it to find it at the bottom of the dipstick, I just want to ensure I put the correct oil in. Looking on the Halfords website, it states 5w40 for my registration, just not seen anyone else mention 5w40 oil in any other posts on this site.
  22. Hi, My 70 plate 1.5 petrol had the check oil level warning come on yesterday, not on today but the oil is at the bottom of the dipstick. looking at other posts for oil type, 5w30 seems to be what people use, but after a call to the dealer to check, they said 5w40. Anyone else been told to use that oil. I only need to add a small amount as it is on a fixed service and was already booked in for the end of October so the oil should be replaced then.
