We have the beading porn thread but it's not going to rain forever, so lets use this thread to put up pictures of cars just cleaned and/or detailed.

Try to limit the pictures to one or two plus quick summary of products used.

Looks very nice, any chance of a list of products you used please?

As it states! This was just a wash and QD top up and windows with AG Fast Glass but it had previously been treated with P1 polish then C2v3. Windows have G5 on.

Cleaned with generic shampoo, detoxed with GTechniq W6, rinsed and rewashed with Gtechniq GWash, dried, polished with P1 and topped with GTechniq QD.

Lovely

Well done

Gtechniq products are good arnt they?

Thanks.

Do you know what, for many a year I frequented Detailing World and got into the routine of trying different products, different waxes, different this, different that, new fad here, new fad there. During one of these phases, I came across GTechniq and initially thought it was another fad product but to be honest, it does what it says and does it well. But more importantly for me, it doesn't take hours and hours to apply. I just don't have the time these days to spend a full day on a clean.

Completely agree on this....

Infact - i've been down at my local detailer - Altec Detailing, watching some nice cars getting some TLC;

and all he uses is gtechniq products - unless the customer has any specific requests of course.

2 x Porsche 911 done last week, and my work colleagues BMW 335d Coupe with 20" alloys finished on Friday.

He swears by the gtechniq range and watching him work and the results produced - cant disagree!

I gave mine a good 5 hours of washing and waxing as it was nice last weekend. Always a bonus when it stays clean longer than a few days!

Nothing fancy, Autobrite snow foam, Autoglym tar remover, Meguiars Step 3 wax and Perfect Clarity window cleaner some AG Aloy sealant....

Looks great

Just goes to show that you dont need to get fancy products to achieve a good result

White is difficult to get reflections from..Its the polishing thats key to the result, not the LSP..though light colours lend themselves to sealants more than waxes

Im using wax at the moment on my white car, but following some research, will follow a new polish, glaze and sealant route

Ill let you know how it goes

Thanks for the comments :) Photographing a white car is a nightmare so some of those photos are 3-5 pictures together with the different exposure levels.  As for the reflections it helps that the car is a couple of weeks old so not much effort really   Not like my old black Mk 2 VRS where I had to go the whole hog with a rotary and get all the defects out. :notme:

As for products I've always favoured Meguiars stuff as I'm just down the road from their Daventry warehouse so can get the bulk chemicals easily enough.  Having said that I've heard/read so much about the collinite waxes that I fancy migrating from the liquid ones I have.  I'm after longevity now so I can blast it once a week to blow the dirt off.

I can vouch for Collinite. For me it's more about bang for buck than having a product because it's the new "in" or "best", £16 for a tin that will last you years.

It doesn't smell that nice, it doesn't come in fancy packaging but it does what it's designed to do, very well, it's very easy to apply and easy to remove provided you don't leave it on for too long and imo in produces a lovely glossy shine.

It's biggest asset is it's durability it'll last over the Winter and if it does start to fade a little just give another coat.

Another good one is Finishkare's 1000p, I brought a little sample pot for £4 mainly just for the wheel but it's quite similar to Collinite 476s in many ways.

Just add I bought it from Clean your Car as a kit with Carlack 68 NSC and together they make an awesome package, although it was a little cheaper when I brought it. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/complete-detailing-kits/collinite-476s-carlack-kit/prod_408.html

Thanks .

Used Chemical guys no touch snow foam / washed it with Poorboys super slick and wax / then applied diluted Autosmart tango before drying .

Used the two bucket wash and a Meg's mitt .

Tyres done with armourall foam before washing then Meg's endurance gel .

There are a few swirls on it but they don't show as much on a white car .

Full detail and paint correction when a bit warmer
