  1. Dear Llanigraham, https://car-recalls.eu/recall/skoda-yeti-2014-2015/ I came across this Regards
  2. 'Should what have been recalled?' 2014, Yeti 2.0 TDR CR 4x4 model
  3. I purchased from another main dealer at the time plus two other Skoda cars Fabia and a Roomster in the span of 12 years. They bought out that dealer and my account was transferred without any hesitation until now. So the short answer is no.
  4. Do excuse my French, 'pour quoi' are they keeping quiet on 2014 model gate ? Should it have been re-called
  5. Should get some pictures tomorrow.
  6. Dear JR, I'm still in discussion with the main dealer where the land lies and approaching a resolution. The option is there for a new or used.I'm not entirely sure as yet . Regards
  7. They said they have perform this maintenance stating ' we have done this sort of services' day in day out and never have known of a Haldex/diff crack like I have. Enough is enough ! Regards
  8. Dear all, just had a conversation with the main dealer that service my Yeti..They said more or less the Haldex cracked open or split..Stems from the health of the car from new, if it was routinely service year in year out by changing pollen filter, engine oil checks, brake fluid change...Does this have an adverse effect with the Haldex system. Please excuse my ignorance Regards
  9. Dear Dale, the Yeti is still a fantastic vehicle to drive...I would only say enjoy it and listen to your car noises, return to the dealer if you feel there is something not quite right. Extended warranty is your option to consider, covering all components. Regards
  10. Dear Dale, FYI...I was quoted every three years or 60,000 miles which ever comes first by customer services at Skoda UK. Other main dealers say now 30K miles for manual drive and 40K miles for DSG[Automatic !!] excuse my ignorance, I was only listening to the subject matter experts [ SME ] for my terrible experience of a cracked Haldex and diff issues. Let me know how garage 4 of their performance Regards
  11. Dear e-Roottoot, yes it was Carried out Haldex Gear oil change - SG060175A2 Diagnostics of rear washer jet/ replacement of jet nozzle Fuel filter replacement : S3C0127434 Brake fluid was on a separate invoice, this could be of my service plan, part: PBF
  12. Dear rover220, thanks. Our legal adviser has a letter prepared...I'm lodging a formal complaint as we speak, to the main dealer customer care department. We have the car ready for the replacement parts with our independant garage, happy and anxious to get our vehicle back on the road. Do you think it's a good stance ?
  13. Dear Ken, does this apply to Gen5 traction systems as well as the 6th. I think in prudence the experts should explain. We all need our cars to have some form of safety, comfort and longevity. Regards
  14. Dear RustyNuts, yes...This is the first line, that any garage would perform. The diagnostics and the reports will be from DEKRA in a few days time. Regards
  15. My Yeti has been taken off site, the impartial first line investigation costing for £60,which was better explained to me than the main dealer charge of £260 ! The rear axle / diff casing has a long crack...The service advisor mentions if I want to strip this apart and obtain a forensic report, it would cost more and he said do consider the option of replacement with a used system to get your car up and running. Then pursue the consumer rights act with the main dealer.
  16. Look Up Consumer Rights Act 2015 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_Rights_Act_2015 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/contents/enacted
  17. Hello Dale, It's a read only https://www.ads-automotive.co.uk/haldex-repair/ Yeti are a still a good cross-over.
  18. Dear Dale, congrats on your purchase today...I cannot comment. I would contact DEKRA https://www.dekra-expert.co.uk for further advice, perhaps an inspection if it's a used car. Happy motoring, we miss ours at the moment. Regards
  19. Dear all, been following these posts. If you could find time to help my dilemma, this would be a great help in resolving my issues when it comes to replacement of Haldex or any other recommendations for 4x4 Haldex/diff. From new 2014 Yeti Outdoor SE 4x4, 19,127 miles and out-of-warranty after my PCP. Have been a devotee to Skoda with owning Fabia -new, Roomster - use. My shorten story; I recently had a service within dealer service network the advisor called and mentioned that I need to change the oil on the Haldex so I agreed to this and 5 days later my car with no apparent warning made a loud bang and nearly cause an accident driving on a narrow road locally. FYI, I have lodge a complaint, spoken to Skoda UK.Arranged DEKRA inspection for a independent report, most likely to take the legal route fairly soon. Are there any OEM systems that's more reliable than the Haldex 5th Gen, since the first quote is around 4.5K, plus all the other expenses will be stretched to over 5K+ Thank you any comments/advice will be greatly appreciated. Regards John
  20. Good morning and Thanks for the info I've booked a Dekra inspection at a nominated garage for peace of mind and next steps forward. thanks once again
  21. Good after all, Would my 14 plate Haldex Gen 4 or 5 system ? I found this article while searching for a accredited independent assessor from the The Motor Ombudsman. https://www.ads-automotive.co.uk/haldex-repair/
  22. I have called the RAC Care Legal team and had a good conversation with the call centre which is 24x7 btw. They told me to draft the letter with the intent of legal route, quoting sections 23,10 & 49. Booked my car in for an independant check/report for Monday. Thank so much for the suggestions
  23. Dear JR, appreciate your reply, we love the car still and was hoping since the cambelt was replaced and all the minor and major servicing was completed. We have a good runner. I'm going to take it to another garage to get an independent check/report...I suspect they have cleaned up as much evidence as possible. I don't carry much weigh generally...Only bags of 10mm shingles from my local Wickes during the lockdown back in May/June. Regards
  24. Dear Benh, I'm on it today to arrange the collection on Monday...Even though my expenses have been stretched to the limit. I thank you all once again for the graciousness with your posted replies. Have a great weekend Regards
