'74 Plate Scala - Creaking from Dashboard (with video)
Hi Holmes, Place a strip of foam or a piece of rubber seal (1mm thick) between the VC frame and the decoration to eliminate the creaking noise. If you hear any noises around the side window frame in the future, the cause is likely a dirty upper door seal (not the glass). Thoroughly clean all the nooks and crannies of the seal. Silicone sprays do not help; you need to clean the seal thoroughly and, if necessary, use a suitable sealing stick

Software Update available for Bolero?
It's possible to update the older unit up to 1800. BUT if you have VC than forgot about updating Unit 17 (Virtual Cockpit).because newer MIB versions block communication with VC (VC is also updated via pendrive). Skoda service provider confirmed the possibility of downgrading SW but they do not do it.

Software Update available for Bolero?
Information for everyone who has Bolero with default SW 0742 and older (like 0469) - if you upgrade the SW with version 1XXX you will not upgrade the Virtual Cocpit. To do this you need to downgrade the Bolero SW at least to 0742. How to do the downgrade - I don't know, but now I can't fix the problem with album covers on VC. Quid pro quo The VC update path is the same as in the case of Bolero - via pendrive. How to get the VC SW? I don't know.

New to adaptive cruise control, questions.
PACC in Kamiq? Forget about it. Even if you have Columbus and traffic sign recognition then you still need auto-hold (instead of manual hand brake), steering wheel with traffic jam assist button (capacitive steering wheel) and probably side assist. And at the end a SWAP code.

Software Update available for Bolero?
I have Bolero MEN3_EU_SK370_P0113P, SW: 0469. As Varooom wrote, I've tried MEN3_EU_SK370_P2135P_0742 but without any result so you and me probably have Bolero end of the line. Varoom - huge thanks once again!

upgrade the bolero
You can't. For this moment only the authorised service provider can do this. OTA doesn't work, updates not available in update portal https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/

Stop/start - didn’t realise you could restart using the steering wheel!
You need to have a front camera with Front Assist function. Then the car recognises moving cars in front of you

Travel Assist option on Scala
Scala/Kamiq hasn't the Auto Hold - there's a manual handbrake. Due to this Stop &Go feature is not available in these models.

Can I change from 18" wheels to 16" wheels?
I have the Castor 16" OEM wheels in my Kamiq Ambition (your SE?) with 1.0 TSi DSG. I've checked even the Skoda's configurator and you can choose the 1.5 TSi with 16" so dealer words are little weird.

Amundsen: Is it possible to change start video and "remember your phone" messages?
Hi, about welcome video - dependind the software version it's possible to change it via VCDS/OBD11. Remember your phone - in my car: push the phone button, then settings and change the value of this option to off.

Skoda Kamiq footrest
Hi Exkiwi, I haven't sign recognition (Bolero unit) and I didn't try to enable it. I've checked my adaptation and: 5F Adaptation Vehicle function BAP traffic_sign_recognition_0x21 Not activated traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus Not activated (OBD11 forum says: Databus Extended) 17 Long coding Roadside sign detection No (OBD11 forum says: Module 17, Then go to Coding, Long Coding, Byte 5, activate Bit 2) Did you try to reset head unit by pressing Off button longer than 10 seconds?

Skoda Kamiq footrest
You have to code the classic view via OBD11 or VCDS. No option in Bolero unit. AFAIK Kamiq isn't protected with SFD. If it's problem to code something just try to open bonnet. Cheers

New Kamiq SE 1.5
I have its in Kamiq. It's not annoying by day but after the sunset, when the car, opposite to you, lights your windscreen you may notice some kind of blur. It's not a problem for me but if you driving a lot by night it might be a problem. My advice - just ask your dealer to share the test car to check it.

Skoda Kamiq footrest
It's offtopic but I've turn on the dimming of the interior light, Virtual Cockpit RS theme, auto unlock with DSG Park position, adaptive lane Assist (Kamiq keeps the middle od the lane, not bounce), DRL off with the handbrake and high beam assist. Going to Skoda service point I'll change the VC theme and turn off the ALA and HBA on Bolero head unit.

Skoda Kamiq footrest
I've already drove 11,000 km with it and have not noticed any problems with the grip of the pedals. The weather conditions in Poland are more and more similar to the English ones Especially autumn and winter on central part of my country.

Skoda Kamiq footrest
Yes, that's right. Just use the hook side only to stick to the carpet.

Skoda Kamiq footrest
There's no OEM footrest for Kamiq and Scala. But you can do it yourself. Just buy the one, dedicated for Octavia/Golf, cut the side clips and fill the back side using the hot melt glue. When you get the flat surface then stick the self adhesive hook&loop tape. See attached photo of mine
