  1. I've not had the pleasure of using this gadget as since I've had the car, it doesn't fit tight enough to the windscreen, hence not able to hold tickets. Is there any way to 'close the gap', or would I have to replace it? Thanks.
  2. A couple of pics of my first car...
  3. At least you've got it free. Enjoy the car!
  4. Araldite Rapid: The 2 in 1 syringe?
  5. These sound actuators are in use across all VAG cars, including the Golf GTi & Golf R, Audi's and Seat. Remember guys, all it takes is the press of a button to turn it off, just like most things. I absolutely detest the Start/Stop, so it's the first thing I press when I start the car. I admit, it's a little annoying having to do this every time, but it's a choice that I make. I also prefer to drive without ASR, so once again, I press the button. Likewise, if you don't like the sound, just press the button. When I'm re-enacting a car chase scene, I turn the sound off too; I much prefer to listen to the flow of the engine through the Induction kit and the sound of the turbo; always puts a smile on my face.
  6. Am I the only one that enjoys the sound generator? It's a bit of fun, and easy to turn off, so why disconnect it? The first ever cars to have these fitted were the BMW M5 in 2011, because the sound of the engine was too quiet; and they've continued to fit them ever since. Whilst Porsche started fitting them to their cars in 2012. So why not have them in our Skodas!
  7. Am I reading that correctly... you paid £340 for a Panel filter..?
  8. TBH, I used to be insured with Adrian Flux on another car quite a few years ago. The car caught fire, and they ended up paying out fully, somewhere in the region of £9k
  9. Do you remember which Araldite you used? There are so many different versions. Thanks
  10. Is this the same for all companies, that the image deteriorates? How about the ones from Kopacek?
  11. Ah, I remember the pain in my fingers the dental floss caused when I changed my bonnet and boot badges. How easy was it to glue the new one one?
  12. I too am considering replacing the stock grill badge with a custom one. Heat up the existing one to loosen the glue?
  13. These look great. How difficult were they to wire in? How did you get the menu into your system?
  14. The ones at OpenDoorLED look really nice, with 2 colours, and no background projection. But I guess Kopacek is the way to go for decent quality.
  15. Very Nice. I like the red
  16. Looking very nice. These are on my 'to do' list, once I stop spending my money on racing bits...
  17. Very nice!
  18. If you're going for a Panel Filter only, consider K&N, I've been using them for years in various cars, and they really are second to none: https://www.knfilters.co.uk/
  19. I have just had an induction kit fitted to my 230 TSi. After much research, I decided upon the Racing Line R600. At the same time, I chose to replace the Turbo 90 Inlet Elbow, Turbo Muffler Delete, Turbo Inlet Hose and Coolant underhose. The car sounds better and is much more responsive. Next step is to improve the handling and then a Remap. https://www.racingline.com/air-intake-r600-r600evo I would have thought that your Remap would be built around your current setup, so it possibly would have been better to change the hardware before the software. I went to an official authorised Racing Line dealer that I found through their website. The service I received was nothing short of exceptional, great conversation, extremely knowledgeable and best of all, free fitting.
  20. Done. Thank you!

Mine's a mk3. but definitely up for a meet up.
  22. I understand. But wouldn't the TPMS alert me when the pressure dropped? Or is that only if one of the tyres is inconsistent with the rest?
  23. It's odd, I have the fuel sticker, but not the tyre pressures. I can make out the outline of where the sticker used to be, so maybe it's just come off. Possibly when the ice scraper has been used previously? I'll try and get hold of a replacement sticker. Thanks.
  24. OMG Thank you for pointing that out. This means that I have been driving around for the past 12 months (around 6,000 miles) with low tyre pressure! The dealer should have really checked this before selling the car. First thing I'm doing tomorrow is pumping all the tyres up to 39 PSi. Thank you!
