  1. Driving back from the VolksWorld show today, I had the indication on the dashboard of a loss of pressure in one of the tyres. I measured all 4 tyres, Three of them had 29.5 PSi, and one with 29 PSi. I topped up the 0.5 PSi and reset the TPMS. However I have no idea what the correct tyre pressure should be.There is no sticker inside the fuel flap, and the manual doesn't have this information. Can anyone advise please? The tyres size are: 225/35/19. Thank you.
  2. A quick check online confirms the above: Vehicle Information Reg: SK66ZNY Make: Skoda Model: Octavia Vrs Tsi Colour: Red Vehicle Type: Car Body Style: Hatchback Fuel Type: Petrol Engine Size: 1984 cc BHP: 227 BHP Top Speed: 155 MPH 0-60 MPH: 6.70 Secs AVG Yearly Mileage: 5800 Insurance Group: 30 Vehicle Age: 5 years 4 months Year: 2016
  3. Those are the 230 wheels! Not sure about badge colours though, as this ones been de-badged. I'm pretty sure this is a 230.
  4. Nice looking motor, that's the VRS 230! Sorry to hear about your other vehicle. From what I can see, the following mods have been made: custom Skoda badges front and rear, de-badged rear text, eyebrows on headlights, tinted rear lights, tinted windows, bonnet struts, carbon fibre boot lip, and rear diffuser. Looks great!
  5. Looking nice, well done mate
  6. The 230 also has power seats with 3 memory buttons
  7. UPDATE: Took the car in on Friday; had the following done; Oil service (change and filter) Brake Fluid (as recommended every 2 years, and I don't know when it was done last) Spark Plugs (Recommended at 40k) The plugs that were removed were 'Beru', replaced with 'Bosch' (of course) Front Differential Oil I will change the Cabin filter myself, although it's only a year old. I'm not changing the air filter, as I'm hoping to get a Cold Air Intake fitted soon. I asked him to take a look at the Timing belt and Water Pump too. He advised that my car has a timing chain, and wouldn't need changing, but listen out just in case it starts making a noise. For the Water Pump, he said mine has an electric water pump, not pulley driven, so shouldn't have to worry about that too, at least until 50k miles.
  8. Thanks. Also, I've heard the timing belt & water pump should be replaced every 5 years. When I asked Skoda, they said mine had a chain, not a belt, so wouldn't need changing. Does that mean I still do the water pump though?
  9. Thanks for the info. Oil service was done a year ago at 34,000. Spark plugs are the originals I think, so will get these changed. Have requested the Front & Rear differential oil change too (I don't even know what this is, but heard that it should be done). Oil change and filter will be done. Haven't asked him to do brake fluid, will get that done too, although pads were changed 12 months ago. I keep hearing horror stories about the water pump; when should that be replaced? Thanks
  10. Another vote for Super Skoda here. I bought the cheaper ones first from flea-Bay, and it was a waste of money. The SS ones just fit right; they are expensive but definitely worth it.
  11. It's been a year since i took delivery of the car that puts a smile on my face every day. My 2016 VRS 230. She's now due an 'Oil Service and Inspection'. I'll be going to my Indy, so I understand that an Oil change and filters should be done. Is there anything else i should request? Differential Oil change (Haldex)? Spark Plugs (it's almost hit 40k miles)?, water pump? Thanks in advance.
  12. Looks pretty good. Any idea where this is available?
  13. Does anyone have any experience with Racing Line? https://www.racingline.com/oem
  14. Thanks for the replies. And one more thing: did it make much of a difference to your insurance premium?
  15. Looks great, this is very much what I am looking to do on my 5e VRS too. How much of a difference did the Stage 3 make? Did you do the Turbo muffler delete, and other hardware? Have you gone for the SPS (Serial Port Switch)? Thanks
  16. This is going to sound like a silly question: but are you sure your car has Apple Car Play enabled?
  17. When I had a BMW, it had the option to adjust the heat to cover the base of the seat, and also the back rest. Is anything similar possible with the Octy? I would really prefer a warmer back rather than my bum. Thanks
  18. Would my VRS already have an uprated ARB?
  19. The oil change is due on my VRS 230 soon too. I've heard that it's a good idea to clean out/replace the 'oil breather' at the same time? I have no idea what this means though!
  20. This might sound like a silly question, but are you pressing the buttons to direct the air? If not, then press the buttons for windscreen or passenger facing etc and see if the temperature increases. If you leave the fan on with out directing the airflow, it an be of different temps.
  21. Looks great, and definitely on my mods list...!
  22. Sorry, I've no experience with the Ram Air, however I've heard good things about this one: https://www.racingline.com/air-intake-r600-golf7gti-golf7r-audis3-auditts-vwr12g7r600
  23. ...so they can rip you off...!
  24. I'm surprised, I've been overly impressed with the lights and bulbs on my VRS230, they are much better than my previous car, a BMW 5 series.
