non mechanical fault not repairable
Well I am, super sorry I do not earn £100k p/a. With the rising cost of everything, £200 is a premium for me. This is for everyone on this forum, if you do not have anything nice, polite, helpful to say, don't say anything at all. It is really discargaing when Someone ask for some advise and you get mostly unhelpful and possible discrimnative answers to my spelling (not knowing who and what struggles I have personally). i really do not appreaciate it at all. So again please remove yourself from my post if you unable to contain yourself and provide a helpful answer to my question.

non mechanical fault not repairable
Hi, Unfortunately it’s on a lease. I have an update, I have been dealing with someone at Marshall Skoda and they have found several issues. Some items are on back order and they have repaired the rattle, will give it a few days to see if it returns again. However the person I am dealing with said that if the rattle returns, we may need to chat with the branch I originally took the lease out with (no details) on what they would offer. But I am so far happy with the outcome of their investigation.

non mechanical fault not repairable
@roottoot Hi thanks for getting in touch. As said the car is now going back for the same rattle for the 3rd time. After they have "fixed" the rattle, for the 1st couple of days there is no rattle but the noise returns. (My dealership, has confirmed there is something causing the rattle). Regards to the left seat lumba support lever, 90% of the time I am the only person in the car, the passanger seat only gets used every other weekend. Meaning that the lever has not been touched for a fair while as when I got the car I moved the lever into the on position. @skomaz, Now I perfectly get what you are saying, however I am the consumer, I am paying a premium for a service/item and I do not think it is acceptable build or quality from a reputable car brand and a car costing £22k and that the car has been in and out of the dealership since August 2021 when the car was only purchased May 2021. I would also like to point out this is not the only fault, there was an issue with the driver seat, would not hold its position, the back would go down, this got replaced. As said seems I have a dud car "poor quality/build" and Skoda needs to make right. Thanks again for reading my post.

non mechanical fault not repairable
I have placed it back on, but thats not really the point, the point I was trying to say, the car is a year old, things should not be falling off, rattling. poor build quality. Would you or anyone else be happy paying £210 per month for a car that is not up to scratch? The rattle is loud enough to go over when the radio is on, I do not want to drive another 2 years with the noise. I did find this and was wondering how accurate it is: "If you bought the car on hire purchase (HP) or personal contract purchase (PCP), it’s the finance company who’s legally responsible if there are problems with your car. You can reject it anytime during your agreement as long as you stop using the car after you've discovered the problem. Contact the finance company and tell them you're rejecting the car and ask them to arrange for it to be repaired or replaced."

non mechanical fault not repairable
Hi, I bought my Scala SEL on a PCH in May 2021. I picked up a rattle under the front dash near the digital screen, however due to COVID Skoda was unable to drive my car to test for the fault. So it finally went into my local Skoda on the end of 2021. The car has been at my local Skoda twice already for the same rattle under the dash and now going in for the 3rd time. I was driving today and heard a clunk on the passenger side, like something fell onto the metal on the bottom of the seats. When I arrived at my destination I found the manual Lombard handle had just fallen off its self. There are a couple of other niggles, the plastic covering on the window support bars are loose/not clipped in correctly. So my question is, what options do I have, I am clearly not impressed/happy with the build quality of the car, seems I got a dud car. Do I have the right to ask for a new car? I can’t see them fixing the “rattle”, what are they going to do on the 3rd attempt that they could not do on attempt 1 & 2, and now other things just falling off. Thanks for reading through my question.

Low oil at 5000 miles
well we been in winter for the last 6 or so months. I have done a long trip up to Birmingham and back and I hot about 55 - 60 mpg avrage. My trips to work get about 43 MPG. When I do a trip from Bladock to Ware I hit at least 50 MPG. If everything is similar and I am not hitting low 40's mid 30's on the same trips I do weekly, my tyre pressure is perfectly fine thank you very much.

Low oil at 5000 miles
@roottoot There was 0 indication that the car was using an exessive amount of oil. No oil leaks on the engine No oil leaks on the drive way No excess smoke from the exhaust. So why would I even think at 5000 miles , O, I should check the oil levels in my brand new car? If new cars needs a top up of oil, like Carlston suggested this should be noted when purcshing the car from the dealerships. I am perfectly aware that I need to keep car safe on public roads and I make every effort in order to ensure this. As the Tyre pressure would also be effecting my MPG and my MPG is pretty good and stable, again no reason for me to be concered about the tyre pressure. I will go and top up the oil and monitor it over the next 5000 miles and if it drops again, then there is a larger issue with the engine itself. Thanks

Low oil at 5000 miles
Hi Roottoot, Yeah, 1st time checking it casue I got the warning light. I have owned 2 other Skoda's never brand new, never had to worry or check the oil before it went for a service. Was just under the impression, it's a new car, it wiould not be "eating" through the oil so fast, like some older cars I have had in my lifetime. But it makes sence that its a new engine and the piston rings and cylinder bore are still bedding in. I have checked tyre pressure, but not recently. Car feels fine on the road, you can normally feel when the tyres need pumping up

Low oil at 5000 miles
Hi, I have a new Skoda Scala, purchased end May 2021, its now begining of March 2022, only done 5300 miles and I got a oil warning light this morning. Chgecking the oil its below the min on the dip stick. I am concerned as with the other 2 Skoda's I have had , I have never had to myself top up the oil. This Scala has not even reached the service interval. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks

Ordered my Scala mid July, still no factory build week
Hi, With what Skoda1982 said, there are delays at the moment, this is due to chip shortages. there is a 12 week wait for orders placed for these electronic chips. This was due to lockdown last year, the companies that manufacture the chips thought demand will fall during lockdown, however the opposite took place, people started to order computers for home and electronics. Then one of the largest car computer chip manufacturers had a fire and the entire factory burnt down, they are still not back to 100% capacity. I recently spoke with a person from a Skoda dealership in the UK, they advised there is at least a 4 - 6 month wait for new cars. My college at work ordered a an Audi A3 in April 2021, about a week ago she had received an email the car had arrived at the port of exit (arrived from the factory to the port to be shipped to the UK). I had placed an order for my Skoda SEL standard , no extras, placed order end of February 2021 and I got my car end of May 2021. (3 month wait). I also read something last week where Skoda factory was due to shut down for a week as a result of the micro-ship shortage. You must remember about 1000 chips go into a car. So basically a very bad time to buy a new car, wait time is large and price has increased quite a bit.

To Scala or not to Scala
Hi all, I purchased my Scala SEL 110 BHP manual around May 2021. I got a lease, no extras. I came from owning a Fabia redline. I thought I really liked the fabia, until I got the scala. The scala is just better in almost every way. The only niggle is as the scala is a bigger car, its slightly heavier, and therefore not us punchy / nippy from a standstill. But that is only a small niggle. But that is only a small niggle. I agree the arm rest is little low and would have been nice with some adjustment, however I recently, actually today drove a fabia again, every time I got into the car I would want to rest my arm on the arm rest. I could not wait to get back into the scala. The scala has a much better ride quality and the interior is 100 % better, yes there some hard plastic, but so what? There is hard plastic in I think all cars in this segment and there some good quality soft plastic where it matters. Bottom line its a good buy, Skoda offers a lot for your money compared to other brands. More on the question about the Ford, I understand everyone has their own opinion and likes. I have found the inside of a ford look little dated and the infotainment screen just looks out of place / odd. The Scala has a bigger boot, its longer , however just ever so slightly narrower. At least you can test drive the 2, when I ordered the car we were in a lockdown and unable to properly test drive the Scala. ( still happy I made the purchase ).

Delivery time 2021?
Hi, It is not a good time to buy a new car. I spoke with my local Skoda dealership today, and they say the wait for a car is min 4 - 6 months. Cheerz

Škoda Scala couple of questions
Hi, I have the Scala SEL, comes standard with digital cockpit and sat nav, I love it. I see a few people not liking the sat nav, I think its a great, you do not have to look at the infotainment screen (meaning you can have something else showing ) as the navigation comes up on your digital cockpit. I have had the car for about 3 months now and no issue with the virtual cockpit.

Hi, I have had intermittent issues with the android auto. It manly happens when I plug the device in to use sat nav and the data, Bluetooth & GPS are activated, I get no music what so ever, so tonight I clocked on the sound settings and found this. the sound will be made available again at the end of the phone call or announcement or once you have finished parking Anyone else have this issue, I have tried uninstalling the app and factory resetting my bluetooth and smartlink, this has not resolved the issue.

95 or 110 bhp scala
Would you be able to tell me the difference between the 110tsi and 115? so there seems to be a difference in price, the one is a 1.0 TSI 110 SE L 5dr and the other is 1.0 TSI SE L 5dr, please see images below. There is a rough £4 difference in price. Are they the same engine? Thanks

95 or 110 bhp scala
Hi, I currently drive a 110 TSI Fabia, As we all in lockdown, I cant go test drive anything, I was wondering is the SEL 95bhp good enough for the Scala? there is an average of a £12 savings compared to the 110bhp SEL model, and was wondering if its worth saving it or just paying the extra? I generally stick within the speed limit in town and motor ways, I do like how peppi the Fabia is, but the 95BHP will also have a turbo so should be as peppi?

Skoda Scala SEL or Monte Carlo?
Good morning, I am looking at picking up a lease for the Skoda Scala in the next couple of months and wanted to hear from you peeps whether the Mote Carlo is worth the extra cost over the SEL? On average there is about a £15 - £30 pm difference from the SEL model with no extras. I currently drive a Skoda Fabia redline, and I must admit I do like the seats and the steering wheel, where its flat at the bottom compared to the slandered option. Thanks.
