  1. This is to do with with your key personalisation. If you tap apply it'll then adjust to the key that you're using. Sometimes it glitches and starts the car in guest mode then attempts to apply your key settings mid-drive. There's a setting to disable the online element of the profiles which will stop this happening as often. I'll check my car when I get home to see if I can remember what I did
  2. That's very frustrating. From my Passat GTE days I seem to recall that hybrid error message is a generic thing that covers all manner of issues with the engine and the HV traction side. Your lack of EV power would suggest it's on that system somewhere. If there's no errors showing now, my only advice would be to check the battery coolant tank (the small one with the padlock and steel wire). If those levels are fine I'd keep driving until you can get to a dealer.
  3. I thought all new skodas came with Europe wide breakdown cover that lasts whole warranty period? Bash the spanner symbol on the roof panel and check with the agent. They'll send out a mobile breakdown patrol who can at least read the codes?
  4. The first couple of times you use it, it's slow because you don't trust it. Now I just engage reverse and use the parking sensor tones as normal to judge the right speed. Haven't hit anything yet!
  5. You might not realise but it's generally always scanning at speeds of up to about 20mph. I use it when parallel parking now because it's much quicker and I no longer have to faff around putting the passenger mirror into the L position to see the kerb etc
  6. Seconded. You've clearly been hoying your superb into some corners to get that to move 😂
  7. What do you get if you don't get the variable floor? Do you still get access to the lower depths?
  8. Yeah mine isn't an expensive one admittedly, is there no way to wrap the hubs for transport? Roof mounted means you retain full use of the car interior and the boot door otherwise
  9. I've come here to tell you all the superb has a special cut-out in the driver's door pocket, specifically designed to accept a hi Vis vest without impeding the use of the remaining pocket. It's also the exact size to conceal a wallet you thought you'd lost
  10. Roof mounted all day, every day. #lifestyle
  11. The one you already have is the best one in that case!
  12. To be fair the auto setting is pretty bang on, including the rain setting
  13. Yeah a tonne of those! I've got perforated leather upfront so will have fun poking it all out. Will post a before and after
  14. I've gone for the gliptone cleaner and conditioner and a bottle of the APC
  15. It's quite enjoyable to watch the segments dance around as you're driving. Definitely one of those features that I'll find hard to live without on the next car
  16. @jakk the tell tale is on the switch only. Like you, I prefer it on the dashboard like is typically on PSA stuff, but that's life. I have good news for you about your automatic high beam though, the system on your SEL is actually a little more clever than you might realise: https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-kits/skoda-superb-press-kit/lighting-first-skoda-to-feature-full-led-matrix-headlights/
  17. It's a company car so I want to strike the right balance between having a clean car and sinking money into something I don't own On the lower door plastics (sills and lower speaker grills etc) my issue is I can scrub them etc but they always look like they've got some ingrained dirt. I just want to clean that off, I'm happy to do that regularly if it works
  18. @varooom I don't suppose you also have a recommendation for a potion to use on the interior plastics in the footwells etc that get scuffed? May as well add that if I'm placing an order from that site
  19. The law is that you can be fined €80 if you have a lamp out and no spare on board. So you'd have to have a bad day for a unit to fail, an officer to pull you for it and for them not to understand that it's not possible to carry a spare! I've stopped carrying the extra bits with the exception of the Hi Vis vests, but that's not official travel advice
  20. What @ApertureS said. Buy any old cheap set from Halfords, in the event you have a lamp blow, just go to the local French equivalent and pick up the lamp you need
  21. Mine is pretty persistent which is annoying. You can drive around it by pegging the throttle to just before the kickdown, but it's not always desirable or acceptable to pull out of junctions this way!
  22. Hello, I have a 2021 superb with brown leather. The fronts have taken on a shiny appearance which I take to mean they're dirty, the back chairs are still pretty much new Can anyone recommend a product or steps I can take to rejuvenate the fronts DIY?
  23. I thought mine only had 10k miles so I'm surprised at that alone 🤣
