  1. Hello and welcome to Briskoda!
  2. Agreed. These cars need handling modifications more than performance modifications, or a smack to the back of the head for the owners.
  3. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! Glad to hear you like the Yeti!

    Welcome to Briskoda, Bruce!
  8. Seen a lot with those, but there are a lot of yobbos and chavs with Fabias these days, and as Sepulchrave says, there was a wee bit back too.
  9. Erm, quite a bit I imagine. I can still get a 5'8ish person in the boot without disturbing the parcel shelf in my hatch, though. Don't ask me how I know.
  10. Aye, it was the same here, but all through each primary year group. I was always quite high on the register, having Bartolo as a surname.
  11. The heart of Burns country, it's a bloody pain. I'm from Mauchline originally so you'll probably get how much I was drowned in Burnsian lark.
  12. I went with this lot for a set for the Fabia.
  13. I think he's got a Mk2 in the '3' trim of the pre-facelift models (you know, when they decided to be weird with trim levels), based on his little profile information thing at least.
  14. The guy in Halfords tried one on the seat bolt and it fit so that's the one he's ordering in for me. The staff are actually quite friendly at the one in Ayr.
  15. Glad to hear you've got it sorted.
  16. I'll fire this up, my Great Grampa's last car which then became my Grampa's. A Mk3 Cavalier 1.6.
  17. Has the cable for the pull release handle snapped or disconnected? You'll have to take the door card off for that. See the video below for tips on doing the job. https://youtu.be/lh7ndmQQbyI
  18. Depending on how the Fabia's MOT goes will depend on whether or not I'm making one of those...
  19. Took the blanket out of the back and into the boot to use as and when required for the dog travelling in the car. Windscreen didn't freeze today during the massive cold spell so things seem better.
  20. I know enough about them, mind you, we have some home movies kicking about on them as well. I mostly shot still images with 35mm film, anything done with motion was done on a Hi8 'handycam' which still resides somewhere in the house.
  21. Had a Beatles track on the audio track of the reel. Cannot remember which song it was for the life of me, I remember it being rather deteriorated due to loft storage mostly.
  22. I'll need to see what photos my Grampa has! I know there's also 8mm Ciné footage of when he strapped his camera onto the side of the FB (?) Victor he had.
  23. My Grampa had a Chevette when my Dad was young. In fact, my Dad mentioned it in the Fast & Modified magazine feature he was in. I'll need to scan that up.
  24. 30 quid and came with the software and everything... so yeah, I will enjoy.
