Best looking VRS mk2
I read the thread title as "boot leaking VRS Mk2" - maybe time for an eye test, methinks.

VM Gamma Cassette player compatibility with Fabia 6 CD changer?
Sounds right to me, actually.

VM Gamma Cassette player compatibility with Fabia 6 CD changer?
The OP has outlined their plans above. They intend to keep their modern head unit but also run the Gamma and changer via a Y-connector. I presume they've got their reasons and that.

AnnoyingPentium's Return Dive into Swimming... and other 'elf stuff
Swimming was completed by 8pm. 32 (ish) all in. Beginning to get back into the swing of things again. I feel like my lung capacity is improving vastly as a result too.

How to remove windscreen scratches
I tried for ages to get scratches out of my Fabia's windscreen but to no avail. Mind you, mine were probably deeper than the ones you describe. Anyway, fate decided that I was getting a new windscreen whether I liked it or not. Certainly, I was £75 lighter, but I've not had to do much else besides look out of the windscreen!

[1.9 TDi PD] Engine running too cold
We all start somewhere! Mine is my first car too, and have been learning quite a bit thanks to the wealth of knowledge of this forum and through working on the car, obviously.

VM Gamma Cassette player compatibility with Fabia 6 CD changer?
That's all very clever actually. I yanked my Bluetooth one out since I don't particularly believe in phoning folk when driving since I'm antisocial that way. A Sony head unit with a CD changer is the replacement and is running fine for my needs. I like what you're doing though. Your other option is that you put your bluetooth head unit in the bottom slot and get a hold of a Skoda MS501/502 (can't remember exact number) and put it in the top. No need for a facia adaptor that way as well. Hope this helps.

VM Gamma Cassette player compatibility with Fabia 6 CD changer?
Agreed. I'd personally recommend changing the head unit for something a little newer/advanced (delete as appropriate) as if CD is a must, you can get one with Bluetooth and all that fancy gadgetry that you don't really need as well as your traditional compact disc. Then again, that wouldn't really answer the OPs question, however. I don't quite know what will fully answer it besides pulling the trigger and buying a Gamma to try with a Fabia CD changer to find out, mind you. The Gamma did have a CD changer that went into the dash that another member had some time ago. Then you could swap out your old Fabia CD changer for something more useful, like an underseat storage box.

Swimming again tonight! 😁 Will report back.

VM Gamma Cassette player compatibility with Fabia 6 CD changer?
It would depend on connector shape and pinout, most critically. Skoda MS501 cassette units, Skoda Symphony CD and the DX1 Navigation system all should work with the CD changer on a plug and (pray) play basis.

How cute!- Hifi of Yesteryear vs Today's effort!
Thanks! Sounds like an amazing setup. I have a Denon DRM-700 3-head tape, DCD-810 CD, and the 260 series tuner IIRC. All matches. It was just flung together with the Kenwood TT and the Fisher amp many moons ago.- Hifi of Yesteryear vs Today's effort!
I am quite interested in the SAs, some of my favourite cassettes, those. My Granny has the 474, I have an RS-B205 in my room and an RS-BX404 in the "office" mated with an SL-PD7A, plus the knackered RS-DV280 built into my stereo (which is where the 205 will plug into once it's been fixed). My Mum has my old RS-M215, my Kenwood KD-37R and a Fisher CA36 amplifier paired to a set of cheap Sanyo speakers, sounds okay. So we're no strangers to Technics tape decks. There's some old Denon stuff up the loft too, but the 3-head tape deck is FUBAR electronically speaking.- Hifi of Yesteryear vs Today's effort!
Borrowing my Granny's (once mine) Technics RS-TR474M2 for recording an album. Forgot how good it could make a tape sound with the ATC auto-calibration. Recording Deacon Blue to a 2nd hand BASF LH-EI via Spotify. Featuring Archie as a photobomb.- Oled or Qled
Och Amanda that's too much effort for a troll-like being such as myself. Seriously though, I have no idea what model the telly is but it doesn't have long since one of the HDMIs (HDMI 2) has decided it doesn't want to live anymore. The Hi-Fi is in my bedroom, as is the telly that connects with it. So I shouldn't be stuck. Thank you though.- Back with Škoda

I've just got the photos of the box with the old HELLA units inside from my for sale listing on here. They're the same boxes though.- Headlights for my mk1 Vrs (2005)
We have the same units too from DEPO, they came from some ECP subsidiary.- car issue but only for a second
