Shame about the engines/gearbox
So Skoda assist came out today and couldn't fix it so it has been recovered and now at the dealers. No idea when it will be fixed as it was originally booked in on 23rd. Getting a hire car from Enterprise tomorrow, an Audi S4!

Shame about the engines/gearbox
I've got a manual vrs and am on my second clutch and looks like that one has just died. First one got replaced in December after getting temp warnings and errors around 6000 miles. Skoda wouldn't cover under the warranty so had to pay for the replacement. Day after I got it back the electronic parking brake and hold assist wouldn't release so it went back in. Issue was a faulty ABS control unit which they said also caused the clutch issue apparently, so I got the cost of the clutch refunded. Last week the epb and hold assist issue reoccurred followed by a clutch issue where I can hardly put it into gear and a 'loose' feeling on the pedal. Can't get it into the dealer for another 2 weeks, so Skoda assist are coming out tomorrow. Fed up with this car now and all the software issues and mechanical problems, think I'll be giving Skoda finance a call to hand it back.

Auto Hold Not Releasing
I had this issue, with the auto-hold assist and epb not releasing. This was immediately after my car had the clutch replaced (manual) and I was told the problem was the ABS control unit, which was replaced. This was also they reason they gave for the initial clutch issue, although I am at a loss as to how an ABS control unit can cause clutch errors. No mention of a software update, although I did get one a couple of month ago which included a handbrake update (Campaign 69BN).

Gearbox Overheating SE TSI E-TEC 1.0L
I have a petrol vrs, with manual gearbox, maybe not the same as yours but I had clutch high temperature warnings, followed by a clutch error. Got it into the garage and the clutch was replaced, with Skoda initially refusing to cover it under the warranty which cost me £1800. However another fault developed, with the auto hold/handbrake not releasing and it turned out to be an ABS control unit fault. I was then told that this caused the clutch issue and got a refund. I am getting the same manual installation failure too.

Alarm has detected movement on the outer casing?
I got that a couple of weeks ago, alarm went off and got that notification. No idea what triggered it.

Just had mine in for software updates and they acknowledged there is an issue with the ACC but no fix as yet.

New Ap in Shop
Got an update to the calendar app yesterday, it's now working however it looks like it's been made in Windows 3.1, looks awful. Also the car alarm decided to go off late last night for no reason, checked the connect app and it reported 'a movement on the outer casing'!!! Also got an email stating 'Online Anti-Theft Alarm was triggered due to an action performed on the outer shell of your vehicle OCTAVIA VRS on 23.11.2021 at 23:25' No notification or information in the car itself. Skoda really need to sort out this software, both in the car and the connect app. The connect app had an update last night on Android too, it kept crashing today so uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same. Eventually started to work but alarm notification has gone, no history available.

New Ap in Shop
Anyone got this app to work? I keep getting error messages saying service not available or that my phone has no Internet connection.

ACC Braking when overtaking
I had my car in the garage yesterday, with a long list of common issues including this one. Dealer says that some of the faults should have been fixed by software updates that have already been installed on my car, so that has been reported to Skoda technical. Also a few others they'd not seen. The guy I spoke to said he knows of the ACC issue and is there on on VW group cars too. There is supposed to be another update due, I got updates yesterday to fix an airbag and handbrake issue and others he couldn't remember. Another issue that it was in for is the clutch, regularly getting high clutch temp warnings and have twice had an error related to the clutch, due to the clutch slipping. Was told yesterday that they will need to take the gearbox out to inspect the clutch and if they can't find any defective part I need to stump up the cost, even though there is a clutch fault. Some comprehensive warranty Skoda are giving out, 6 months or 6500 miles for wear and tear on a clutch!!!

LED Matrix headlights.
Do they operate when the headlights are dipped or just when full beam? I've noticed I've been getting flashed a few times when dipped, but when in full beam auto they appear to work really good.

Front Dash rattle
I've just started to get a rattle/vibration from the centre console somewhere, haven't tracked down exactly where though. Seems to be only when the sound actuator is enabled too and when accelerating hard and thus louder sound. I had the car in Eco mode and didn't hear it, not sure where the actuator sound comes from, thought it was the speakers, anyone know?

Did you replace the bonnet emblem? I'd like to have a black one on mine but nervous about removing the standard one. Not sure if spraying it is a good option

RGM have replied and have confirmed that this does not fit the VRS estate.

VRS Bumper protector
RGM Automotive now have a bumper protector for the estate, I've emailed to get confirmation if it fits the VRS too. https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/product/rgm-abs-rearguard-rbp1313-octavia-estate-combi-3-2020/ Does anyone have one of these fitted on the mk4 (saloon or estate)? Would be good to see a photo of how they look with the boot open, interested to see if they cover the whole of the top part of the bumper

MK4 VRS TDI200 Overall impression
Another vrs owner in Fife here, had mine 3 weeks and loving it. Had a couple of infotainment issues but apart from that it's great. I'm not quite getting the same mpg as mine is petrol! I've not seen another mk4 vrs yet although not been far.

Skoda vRS seat options
It is yes, can't remember exactly where though.

The cover rolls back to the first position when the boot is opened. There's an option to have it enabled or not.

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Bit more noise than the A4 but not a lot. I've not had the octavia on a motorway run yet so can't comment on that. A4 was very quiet so I wouldn't say the mk4 is noisy by any stretch. The music and sound actuator drowns out any road noise 😂

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Had my VRS estate a week now and loving it, still getting used to the infotainment etc and a manual gearbox again. I've not had any issues with the software or assistance systems, fingers crossed that continues as I've not done a lot of miles yet. I came from a 2019 Audi A4 Black Edition and I was expecting a drop in quality in the cabin, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

VRS Bumper protector
I emailed them last week asking about one for a VRS estate, they don't make them at the moment but will mail me when they do....no indication of how long that will be. I need one soon as my dog will end up scratching the bumper when getting in and out!

VRS Bumper protector
The site isn't using SSL, so isn't secure and all information you put in there isn't encrypted. I wouldn't advise putting in any personal details never mind any payment details on that site. Incidentally anytime I've put anything in the basket they don't seem to deliver to the UK due to the items being too heavy!
