  1. Only had lock fitted 15/5/25 so no idea how long it will last but it is working perfectly. Have hat to reset window and a few other minor resets using VCDS, but no real problems. Have just noticed lights in boot (hatchback) and rechargeable torch have no supply but 12volt socket still works , so I will look into that in due course.
  2. I have had the rear door lock problem as Univ has suffered. After checking wiring and connectors and finding them OK I concluded that it must be the lock, so I asked my local auto electric specialist to replace it. Hey presto , problem solved. It did cost over £400.00 which consisted of over £250.00 for the lock plus labour and VAT. SKODA/VAG prices for door locks seem very expensive.
  3. I tried Univer's suggestion of pulling inside handle and using fob to open the door and it worked. Thank you very much. Next question is what would be the cause of the problem? I intend to follow your other suggestion of checking wiring and subsequently accessing the lock to look for any obvious faults. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks for your ideas but I have a problem , the door is locked shut so I can't access the inside of the door to get to the lock. I am stuck at the moment and have no idea how to proceed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  5. Inconsistent rear door lock Hello fellow sufferer I have exactly the same fault codes, Have you had any progress solving the problem?
  6. I recently had the same error on a vw passat, so I replaced the sensor which cleared the error. I found the sensor underneath the black plastic section of scuttle by the windscreen wiper on the passenger side I believe the Superb has a similar arrangement. The sensor checks for pollutant entering the air intake and appears to initiate recirculation in the a/c system when the sensor is working properly.
  7. Vade 04, I've a 1.4 dsg Sportline and there is water dropping from the rear silencer exactly like yours. Perhaps it's designed to drain the silencer. Does it mean that the silencer will rot? Anybody got an explanation?
  8. Referring to roottoot's information on oil spec, I have a 2018 sportline 1.4 CZEA petrol dsg gearbox, should I use VW 508/509 or stick with VW 504/507 ? Also is there a proper repair / maintenance manual for this car? (Similar to Haynes or better)
  9. I have only recently bought a Superb 1.4 Sportline with which I am very pleased but with regard to saw tooth wear on rear tyres, I previously owned a VW passat which had this problem. I checked the rear suspension alignment and found it was out. After proper realignment the problem improved . I am not yet sure if the Superb rear suspension could have similar properties but maybe it could be worth checking.
