  1. I was posting in that thread too and pretty much forgot about it since, the video in it is mine...😅 i just want to disassemble the whole thing and lube up the parts that are creaking like crazy, i just can't figure out how to remove the damn thing even after looking at the pics provided in that thread.
  2. Hello my fine fellows, would anyone here be so kind as to teach me how to remove the long front roof console with the sunglasses compartment on the car? I have horrible rattles and squeaks coming from inside it and it has been driving me mad for months now, i've seen a few images but i can't seem to understand how the damn thing is pulled out. The few times i've tried it i was reaching the point where i was afraid to break it.
  3. I dunno, it's just what they said on the presentation website, if i remember correctly my old MK2 Fiat Punto also had the fog lights on the main headlight clusters.
  4. Apparently the new headlights are "all weather", maybe they change and work a specific way when you turn on the front fogs, and i agree the VRS definitely looks better than the regular model, the regular model's lower grill has too much black plastic and the lack of fog lights make all that black plastic weird and too big.
  5. Dealer test drives in my head it's always either them not even leaving the garage or something like the following picture:
  6. Of course they start with the FREAKIN UMBRELLA THAT EVERY REVIEW HAS AND FOR SOME REASON THEY GAVE ME A GODDAMN SNOW BRUSH........... IN PORTUGAL!!!!!! Sorry for that, it's just really REALLY annoying.
  7. I honestly don't like the new lower grille area without the fog lights, the new headlights are neat though. It looks like they realized the shiny door handles were annoying as hell with low sun glaring and made them matte Also the new infotainment system seems better, the fact you can add shortcuts to the persistent bar on the bottom is pretty useful.
  8. Aw man i can't even express how sad i am that non VRS or sport models don't have that second cluster layout, it looks absolutely fantastic.
  9. I like it, makes me drive better because it reminds me to signal when i forget. I've had a couple of scares with it though, it read the markings wrong for some reason, in Portugal we have curved arrows in the center markings on some roads and it probably read them as a turn because they're curved and it tried to pull away from the road. like the ones in the following picture.
  10. Can confirm, always have to go manually toggle summer time on or off, even with latest software. Pretty annoying, even my old Renault Clio from 2013 did it automatically.
  11. Ah ok, that's interesting, i'll look into it then, thanks for the tip!
  12. Never noticed that, but I don't have navigation activated anyway, it costs almost 400€ and android wireless with Waze is free. If it was a lot cheaper i'd love to have it but definitely not when it costs 1/3 of my monthly income when i have free alternatives.
  13. Another success story 👍👍👌👌 It just now started a OTA update as well.
  14. Gotta love seeing things move Edit: There sure are a lot of language packs though....
  15. Bit the bullet and started the update 10 minutes or so ago, started panicking a bit because it stayed for like 7 minutes with only a "back" button on the screen and nothing else, so instead of just biting the bullet, I was sweating bullets instead now, but the proper upgrade screen appeared and its now on the black screen after the first line went to 100%. Feels like updating a computer bios, after all these years they still give me horrid mini anxiety attacks whenever something stops for more than a minute 😅
  16. I was thinking and i might need it eventually so it would be a good idea to have it in storage, would you fine fellows provide me the link for the update please? Many thanks!
  17. As someone who works at a car assembly line, that's actually fantastic, BUT as someone who also has a car with that part and there's always a chance of failure.... well.... not that fantastic 😅 Thanks for the manual pics, they're incredibly helpful.
  18. Went on a mighty epic quest in Google worthy of King Arthur himself and was able to find pictures of the MK4 console's underside. I might try to remove it eventually based on these pictures. From what i'm seeing i'm almost 100% sure the noise comes from the white plastic rubbing against the black plastic. Silicone based or Dry PTFE lube WD-40 cans should do the trick.
  19. Is it anything like this video? I'm used to assembling the roof console on the T-Roc because assembling it is one of my jobs at the factory, but i've never seen how these new consoles are assembled so i haven't tried to fix it since i'm afraid of breaking something. This creaking is also present on the cover of the sensors and rear view mirror, they're not very noticeable while driving but on more rough roads there's a creak and crack every so often coming from there. I had a similar issue on the interior door handles and electric windows control modules but i fixed it with Silicone WD-40 and felt tape (regular WD-40 always dries up and noises return), kinda want to do the same on the roof consoles eventually. Untitled video - Made with Clipchamp.mp4
  20. That's a small but very useful change since it stops people from unnecessarily fiddling too much with the infotainment screen while driving, thanks for confirming.
  21. I have the 1803 which i believe came with the car back in 2021, I've had many OTA updates but never anything major. I always like to have things up to date but I'm afraid of updating because i don't have almost any issues with my car and from what I've seen on this forum, a lot of people have a lot of problems with their cars, although it seems that on the "infotainment restarting" thread people seem to be doing fine with the latest update provided by the fine fellows here. But your answers kinda answer one of my questions, which was if this is something that works like this for everyone or if it is a problem on my specific unit, seems to be the latter.
  22. Hello friends, is there a way to make the AC shortcut go directly to Classic AC instead of the Smart AC option? I never use that thing and it's annoying as hell having to go through the side buttons every time i start a new trip on the car.
  23. Will the 1941 update ever be released on OTA update? I'm still on 1803.
  24. I think they're pre-cuts for models that have amplifiers and such. I think all carpets are the same on all cars then in the factory when the cables are being installed, they remove the carpet bits that need to be removed depending on what extras the car has.
