Heated front windscreen
QC is whack at Skoda these days it seems. 🤣

Delivery times?
I mean, you are laughing, but waiting a year is normal these days. For you to get a 3 month delivery window? Impossible. Either the dealer is lying or they didn't look at which year it was.

What, for me even the level 1 setting is too hot to drive for an hour.

Heated front windscreen
Lithuania, it was covered in frost like this But when there is snow it does make it way easier to wipe off the snow too. My main point was that it was pretty damn cold and it still let me go within 5 minutes and I didn't have to scrape it like a barbarian.

Heated front windscreen
Don't know what you guys are expecting. I timed it today, it was -10C outside, car was completely covered in frost, I turned everything on (heated windscreen/max/rear) went around the car clearing side windows and headlights, windshield was done defrosting in 4 minutes on the clock, had to sit for about 2 minutes after clearing everything else. Do you guys want everything to be like an F1 pitstop?

Heated front windscreen
That's the exact same as on VW group... 5 minutes is more than enough for it to all melt.

There is no magic. It takes a couple of minutes, but you can also try using the wipers before it's completely melted removing a lot of the frost will speed it up. It's still faster than waiting for the air to heat up and if there is snow and you have to remove the snow I find it pretty much defrosts the whole thing while I go around the car.

Crazy white noise that won't go off!
I am going in for the yearly service on the 19th I will ask, but my hopes are extremely low. However I am 95% satisfied with the car if it stays the way it is for the next 4-7 years. This is the only real issue and it's annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Crazy white noise that won't go off!
Mine usually does it right on startup, so I just get out lock it, walk away for a couple minutes and it's back, I do that if it's a going to be a long drive. I think it happened to me like 15 times total in a year of driving.

I actually refuse to believe they don't know this issue exists already. The REAL issue is that they don't want to spend money making changes. Because it's so minor I think it's pushed to the very end of the queue, likely never going to be fixed since Canton option doesn't even exist anymore.

It fixes itself if you turn off the car and lock the doors for a bit so there is no rush, it's just annoying and could get worse.

I do.

Crazy white noise that won't go off!
I have that same issue, been trying to find somewhere if there is a definitive fix or should I just ignore it since it rarely happens. I feels like there is some power relay that doesn't always connect and the car needs to go into full standby for it to reset and try again. But then I know the dealership can't do anything about it unless there is an actual solution that comes down all the way from Skoda.

Latest software update
If it's a hardware issue that would be inflicting self harm for the company, they can't produce enough stuff, forget replacing defective parts. It sucks, but that's what we have.

MkIV Octavia VRS Audio upgrade - disappointing
Canton is definitely good. It's accurate and clear. Sound insulation in the car is also excellent for the class of the car. The only thing it lacks is deep bass, but that's not actually required to enjoy most music genres. After all most people listen to music on bookshelf speakers or smaller, which do not go down low either. Oh and I almost forgot, you can turn up the volume and nothing rattles. I think a lot of people take this for granted. 🤣

VRS on order...
I have a 2022 model and the software is perfectly fine, there are some bugs here and there and sometimes it's slow. But it's like 95% there. Fuel consumption is 8.6l/100km in 5000km mixed driving. That's for the 2.0 petrol.

Delivery times?
Actually a lot gets done during those two weeks. While the assembly line workers are mostly on vacation all the maintenance is performed to make sure the plant can operate properly for the rest of the year.
-
Delivery times?
Probably because it's a refresh model, they already had suppliers lined up for the old one and the new parts they ordered they got them from new suppliers instead of the ones that can't deliver at the moment.

Tyres
That seems incredibly strange. People are getting around 50k km on asymmetric 5.

You can look on the configurator. There are 3 possible options: Pirelli Cinturato P7 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 5 Bridgestone Turanza T005 Unfortunately Goodyear are the only sporty ones on this list.

Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System
Yeah, so, why aren't you still at your dealer and demanding explanation? It's in the Australian brochure.
-
Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System
It would make no sense that you need adaptations for something that should be available right away. On my car you push the light stalk forward and this symbol comes up which means that automatic high beam is on, when you start going a certain speed they start doing their thing.
-
Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System
But matrix lights have a different DRL shape, there is no need to even look at the vin code.

Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System
Are you sure you have matrix led then? That's the strangest thing I've read yet. And how does the dealer say it's not available if you paid for it lmao.
