Thanks - from your signature I assume yours is standard spec? What I don’t understand is that most brand new/unregistered ones on auto trader at main dealers do not have this button? So that suggests it is nothing to do with lane assist?

In that case, don’t think it can be travel assist /ACC related, so as you say it sounds like it is lane guidance - is that same thing as lane assist? Do you know whether that button is also linked to the new automated speed limiter side of things or can you only switch that off (each time) in infotainment menu?

So as yours has that button, has your SEL got any extras or standard spec?

That’s what I wondered but the below link is taken from a car off auto trader which as far as I can tell is standard spec and that has the button - the latest owners manual also suggest it to do with that although they appear to have got the B-side muddled up with the A side http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202405079443587. Anyone know what the circled icon is on this standard spec Sportline example (ignore the stock iv photo as the Karoq icon is exactly the same) - looks like speed limiter/lane assist possibly but seen many brand new ones on autotrader (mostly without the icon) and only a few with it - I did think it might be down to the recent Apr24 ish spec changes where e.g. Sportline gets tablet holder etc but seen many with tablet holders but no icon on steering wheel so confused

Although I tend to be a bit wary about these things - isnt the dealer now confirming/advising the latest service interval? I guess the real test is if a car has been otherwise properly serviced but the belt goes before 140k - would Skoda say well it was only ever a "recommendation" ?

Below has been posted previously on this forum - however some owners are taking a slightly more cautious approach and renewing at 8-10 years instead - if you bought from a Skoda dealer then it should have warranty - you could always get them to confirm belt interval by email for piece of mind Posted 6 July, 2023 I’ve had confirmation from Skoda UK that the TDI (the 1.6 at least) has a belt change interval of 140,000 miles with no time limit, only mileage.

Unfortunately, the sportline has gone back to 19 inch wheels - would much prefer yours/18” but unfortunately don’t have any choice if I wish to continue with the order

It is just frustrating - apart from the tyre/wheel size, I really like the Sportline so guess I will just have to put up with what is fitted. I am not really the type to fiddle/source alternative stuff after delivery hence my questions. I think I will reluctantly order the performance package that includes dynamic chassis control (DCC) and hope that this makes things a little more bearable. What makes it more galling is that in the past the Sportline came with 18” wheels (215/40/r18?) for a while so it seems you just have to put up with whatever Skoda decides to fit.

Thanks for the informative reply. Anyone happen to know about my other question about whether the tyre size can be swapped at build stage by Skoda and if so would they recalibrate the speedo (assuming it needs that) at that point?

Thanks for that. I did think that would be the case in terms of actual factory fit sizes. It does bug me when there’s so many errors on the brochures. Sometimes I think I know more than Skoda.😀 - I spotted other errors in the past and made them aware. Now I just need to try to get an answer regarding whether I could swap the 40 profile for the 45 profile, on a 1.5 DSG Sportline as part of the build process. I’m assuming that the 45 profile is fitted on the four-wheel-drive variant due to the extra weight of the car? I suspect the dealers will say no as they seem pretty in flexible in my view - I also suspect the 45 profile tyre maybe cheaper than the 40 but I don’t expect that will make any difference to their view of things.

Sorry to jump on thread - I am interested in a new 1.5 DSG Sportline (fwd) - at present it comes with 225/40R19. However, I understand the 4wd 2.0 DSG Sportline comes with 225/45R19 or at least I think it does (the technical spec part on page 31 of the brochure shows 225/55R19 - which I think is probably an error - but the build your own says it comes with 225/45R19 (in basic price section) but also confusingly then shows 225/55R19 again under my equipment/standard equipment section. I know I am rabbling on but my question is, before the build week could I in theory ask my dealer to ask if the 2.0's 225/45R19 (assuming they are probably correct size fitted) or if not the 225/55R19 be fitted, instead of the 1.5's 225/40R19 ? Just trying to see if having a higher ratio sidewall may help comfort side of things! If they could be swapped at build stage, does this have any bearing on true speedo reading or does the factory automatically calibrate the speedo depending on the supplied/fitted wheel/tyre size? Hopefully I have made some sense!

I have a sportline on order so interested in this thread - it may only seem like a small thing, but i really like to see D (gear number) so hoping this is some sort of glitch/resolved by time I get mine - interested to see if others with very new vehicles also have the no gear number issue - seems most odd

Thanks. It is frustrating as we are in the hands of Skoda with wheel choice. One minute it’s 19 inch alloys, then they decide to go onto 18s for a while, now back to 19”s. I have 18s on my SEL and always been pretty impressed with the ride. Hoping/praying that you are wrong regarding the ride comfort side and that DCC at least improves the ride a little. Time will tell

thanks - i have never had DCC on a car so dont know whether it will be an expensive mistake or not. Having said that, i have never had a car with 19" wheels either. Therefore, a little bit of a gamble but as I had no choice with the 19" wheels, it is one I am prepared to take! There does not seems to be many Karoq owners who specced DCC so difficult to gauge opinion but I value yours. I guess I should have tried a DCC car but that is easier said than done. I know there are the normal preset modes, but do you know if the DCC is adjustable in individual mode ? (Golf 8 has something like 15 sections on a slider)

I am a current SEL owner and just placed order for a Sportline so perhaps a little too early for me to comment accurately but see below 1. 19" alloys - I too am concerned about ride comfort (and there are mixed view on this but still quite a few saying ride is compromised) so have added the performance package (DCC) and I hope this softens the blow (literally) - frustrating as pack costs approx £1000 and in the past Sportline has periodically come with 18" - which I would have gladly accepted. Dealer says no option to swap wheels and no web brochure option to do that either 2. Sat in one but I am approx 6" so didnt notice anything 3. Not sure, but at least the standard interior is dark so doubt it will show much

Have any Karoq owners (especially Sportline ones) specced performance package very recently or in the past - I am considering doing that so I can get DCC on my forthcoming Sportline - brochure pricelist only mentions DCC affects the steering but on the octavia brochure version it says it also offers variable dampers as well. I think it is just the karoq brochure being economical with words because as far as I know all VAG DCC systems affect the damping but i dont want to spec it only to find it affects the steering side!

Folks - Just ordered a factory build 1.5 DSG Sportline - does anyone know if parking package plus is standard or not - the brochure shows it as standard (black dot) but also later contradicts itself by saying it is available as an option pack - Although 19" saggitarius look the bees knees (and I have driven one with those wheels) does anyone know whether in theory I can either get the e.g sel 18" wheels fitted as park of the build process or if not whether dealer may swap them to 18" when it arrives with them? I know I can ask dealer this but just wanted to get peoples thoughts as to whether it could happen!

Only discrepancy is online brochure/price guide says "parking package plus" is standard (black dot) but the build your own configurator on the same document indicates it is an optional add on package - I suspect it is not included, so if so will feed this back to my dealer! If anyone has taken delivery of a new Sportline very recently can they confirm whether this is included and any other recent spec changes?

Just placed a PCP order for the above. Expected delivery September. Currently have a SEL 1.5 DSG and was a little concerned about ride comfort on Sportline but have test driven one. Sportline is a little firmer but not unbearable and you get so much more on Sportline for little extra cost so took the plunge! Went for Velvet Red as love red cars!
