@LesG - hopefully I can help as the same issue was a nightmare for me, but through sheer perseverance I (more than the dealer who bless them tried their best across 2-3 attempts but admitted they did not know how to solve it!) managed to resolve it so hopefully the below thread may help you - check the last post or two from the thread as from memory it was all a bit of trial and error - if you have only 1 skoda id, suggest you just try resetting password or if that does not work try alternative/new skoda id? That software is definitely not the latest software as it has a known issue preventing online map updates amongst other things - I know that because it was my installed from new software & has since been updated by the dealer at least twice - my current software is something like 0302 or 0306 (my car is not at home to check) - my maps now update - you do need to also have a valid skoda connect subscription for online map updates though and in turn you need to be the primary user to activate skoda connect in the first place

Tyres - bit of an odd question but have any Karoq owners got goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 6 tyres fitted to the standard 18” SEL wheels? If so, can you provide any side on pictures so I can see what the rim protection is like?  I currently have the factory fit Bridgestones which have good rim protection but I fancy a change of tyre when I change my fronts

Is this the same thing as the “manoeuvre braking” which I think is on by default on infotainment screen ?

well after 3 months on and off of trying to renew connect - it is now done! I ended up deleting any duplicate skoda id ( i had somehow set one up) on the online connect portal and resetting the password on my "main" skoda id - it then let me become primary user on the infotainment screen and after further payment issues (not skoda related as far as I can see) were resolved it is now up and running - £80 in total to renew the whole lot but Skoda are reimbursing me for it due to the countless hours I (and they) have spent on it trying to resolve the primary user situation -

Yes. Either go back to menu/users and log in as the guest account and then go back and sign in with your username on the entertainment screen. If that doesn’t work you may have to sign out via the app/portal and then try and go back in on the infotainment screen.

Thanks but already tried that. No matter what I do or how I login using what ever Skoda ID I have, all I ever get is “sorry timed out you didn’t press the two key unlocks quick enough” (but I did and it says 2 of 2 keys detected) or “ try again or contact customer service” . it’s so annoying as I want to use the Skoda connect service and I don’t like being beaten but I just do not know what to do. If Skoda dealers and customer services can’t help how on earth am I supposed to get it going? It was fine for the first year but it now says license expired, but it just will not let me renew it despite following the instructions exactly. Anyone else got any alternative advice?

Has anyone got any advice regarding the becoming primary user issue. Despite contacting customer services numerous times and two visits to the dealer unbelievably they cannot work out what the issue is. I don’t like being beaten by this but I’m starting to think is it really worth it as I just don’t know what to do to get this to work. I’m normally pretty technically minded but just cannot understand what the issue is. Advice appreciated

My noise seems very similar so I will keep an eye on this thread to see how you get on. My dealers have looked at it once but couldn’t find anything obvious

I have a very similar issue and it sounds like a Knocking noise that you hear more so when turning the steering wheel. Mine is also possibly from the left-hand side but it’s difficult to tell. I’ve also had mine checked out by the dealers but they reckon they couldn’t find anything. It is annoying and it just doesn’t sound right but at the moment I don’t know what else to do to identify what the cause is. don’t really remember having anything like this on previous cars!

Thanks - I was aware of that but that is not really what I was asking - if there is a cost I was going to pay for it. I dont know why but when i reordered it online it said cost was £0 euro - I have the email confirmation saying that.

1. My connect expired in July 21. Since then I have tried to renew it (email says cost was £0) but no matter what I do I can’t reactivate it as I am unable to come the primary user again. I have both keys and done what infotainment screen says - it says 2 keys detected but all it says is “timed out” or “try again or contact customer services” -My dealer and customer services have tried various things with no luck- I think I had two Skoda id’s , but I have reordered it and signed in on the infotainment screen under what I believe is the correct Id. I have also deleted id’s , reactivated id’s , deleted profile, reactivate profile. It’s poor old show If my dealer and customer services can’t resolve it - it’s also had software updates at dealer but this made no difference either. Surely it should not be so complicated. As I trust users on this forum more, I would appreciate any advice as I am stumped 2. As a result of the above, I am now back on 12 hour clock. Previously I was able to use config wiz ard to change this but now this has changed format and I don’t see any option to maned this and the menu “date/time” does not given any option to change to 24 hour clock . Anyone got any ideas?

Unfortunately, my Skoda app/connect to no longer works. It expired and despite customer services/Skoda dealer intervention I’m unable to get past the “become primary user issue”. Get to the end of the process and it keeps saying “try again or contact customer services”. No matter what I do nothing works. Very frustrating

I suspect what you have said is fairly typical for most of us 1.5. DSG owners in the real world ?

On what I saw the other day at a dealers, certainly not much - one thing the turanzas are good for is really good rim protection

Anyone else still having issues with this? The advice I’ve had from Skoda customer services is to take the car in for another software update? Not really sure that’s the answer as it’s just had the latest software update to sort the mapping out? I have also had one or two over the air updates through the infotainment but it still has not made any difference. Most odd as it was working okay in the past

If its the one i think it is, looks very nice, has some useful extras and should ride nicely as it has 17" alloys despite the advert saying 19"! Cant offer much other advice as mine is not 4x4, but does have virtual cockpit!

Pretty clear to me that the reason dealers don’t want general public knowing about these TPI/technical bits and pieces is because they would be swamped by people who have these issues but don’t Realise that there is a workaround. Thank goodness for these forums

& maps now updated to 22.3!

Success. Checked the maps today and it’s updated to 22.1. However had no notification so wasn’t aware of this until I checked - it all just seem to happen behind the scenes but at least now they should update in the future as and when needed

Been into dealers today and had software 0304 update. Map itself (21.5) has not updated as yet but sounds like they will at some point? Presumably 0304 is the latest software. Sat in one of their new style Karoqs in the showroom. Identical model to mine. Not sure if these were optional or not, but it had flappy steering paddles, virtual cockpit, electric boot, brighter interior lights and painted lower half of the rear bumper!

I am having difficulty getting this to work now. I’ve already been through the verify ID process and in the past it is worked via the app okay. I know that the app was updated fairly recently so perhaps it’s linked that is anyone else having problems with it? It says sending unlock/lock request a vehicle but then just times out as per attachments
