Front sequential side turns
I think he is referring to what we would call dynamic or sweeping indicators?

Panoramic roof on Sportline
@thamestrader As a recent Sportline owner I am interested in this subject. As a matter of interest, where/how does debris get in though? (presumably only when the roof is open) - in view of what has been said, I certainly wont want to chance parking under/near trees with the roof open but fortunately this is not an issue with my normal parking arrangements. At least you got some interest in your post - no one replied to my recent post about occasional temperamental closing of the roof but at least I did get to inspect the viewable part of the channels when trying to resolve my issue! Still didnt notice any drainage routes but will bear in mind what you have said next time I look

Sunroof randomly wont close
Several times recently the sunroof (not shade) tries to close but only gets so far and then opens again - as if there is some kind of sensor or other reason why it will not close. No obvious debris in channels etc and somehow (although some times I have to leave it a short time) by perseverance it then seems to work again. I have read about some kind of reset procedure online by holding close button (it is a rocker type switch so I hold it in close position) but nothing happens until eventually it seems to right itself. Its only 8 months old so under warranty but if there is a simple fix would rather do it myself. I have attached a short video if the issue.

Sportline and SEL
I have also done the same SEL to Sportline move but have not noticed any obvious engine differences (my 21 plate SEL did not have paddles and although I thought I would regularly use them, I rarely do but at least they are there if needed)

Potential Karoq Buyer
In terms of the plastic wheel trims, you’re buying it from a dealer, I would get them to remove the plastic trims. If not there is info on YouTube as to how to do it. On my very new sportline edition, they were not fitted as I believe in recent times, they’re often removed/not fitted. I love my sportline edition with the extra kit, but I moved from an older Karoq SEL so can’t advise on that front

I also contacted Carista (and Carly from memory) but apparently the latest Karoqs use some newer protection ECU/software and at present are not supported by those types of devices

You can’t deactivate ACC on the central infotainment section - the only options you have is road layout (spots roundabouts, bends etc) or speed limit (adjusts ACC in line with speed limit signs) per pic. Other than that you get the steering wheel option which is either ACC on/off (already tried deselecting it but it only lets you then select speed limiter) or speed limiter as per pic. On a separate point, at least I no longer get the annoying “data set to share your position” message on infotainment screen every time you start car 😀

Sportline Edition
Checked again - the only option is to deactivate ACC, but that completely disables it and the only other option then is to change to speed limiter

There does not seem to be any easy/obvious way to do it though ?

Checking Oil
Bit odd but on my new Sportline Edition it is virtually impossible to check/remove the dipstick when the engine is cold. When the engine is still warm (after switching off) you can remove the dipstick though. I know there is differing opinions as to when to check oil level - seems many now say to check when the engine is warm/ 10-15 mins after switching off, but I do like the option of at least checking the oil level when the engine is stone cold. On my old SEL you could check the oil level when cold but my new Sportline is virtually impossible when cold and I dont want to forcefully remove the dipstick! Any thoughts/is this normal - both my old SEL and new Sportline have the 1.5 DSG engine

If I remember/find out I will post on here!

Thanks. Regardless of whether I have ACC or predictive ACC , I’m more interested in trying to clarify whether there’s any way of reverting or switching to old style cruise control.
-
Sportline Edition
Would any of this explain why I could not remove dipstick to check level?

Sportline Edition
I think my Karoq has predictive cruise control. Are you saying it’s switchable to old style ACC or old style cruise control. If so, how as I can’t see any easy way of doing it?
-
Sportline Edition
I also set gap to maximum - safest whilst I get to know it. Whilst it is impressive, I agree you still have to have your wits about you as it is not foolproof. I cant see any easy way of switching to old style cruise control so you probably cant.

@Redboy is it possible to use the cruise control as normal/standard cruise control rather than adaptive cruise control? I like the adaptive cruise control but my Mrs is not so sure about it. I found under driver assistance there is an option to select/use radio button for ACC but if it’s deselected I don’t know what that means. Does it mean that adaptive cruise control is just not working and that’s that? Or does that mean ACC is not working but it can be used as normal/stranded cruise control instead?

Sportline Edition
From what I can tell, I think they have abandoned them thankfully. I told my dealer that if they did come on the car, I wanted them removed. So far, must say I’m really impressed with it. The one thing I was concerned about was the right quality, but I can’t say it’s substantially worse than my old SEL - perhaps it’s the DCC contributing to that. Also pleasantly surprised that the adaptive cruise control is actually predictive cruise control as it picks up roundabouts and bends et cetera and slows down for you.. one really odd thing is that even though the car is new, I like to check the oil level but the dipstick was stuck solid. Not sure if you have to check it when the engine is warm instead of cold?

Sportline Edition
Having taken delivery today, I am well impressed with my Sportline Edition - seats are comfy, ride on the 19"s has surprised me (if anything I think it is better than my SEL on 18"s although I do wonder if the SEL's front shock misting/leaking had made the rider poorer over time?) - also trying to get used to the ACC which links up with nav and traffic sign data, so it not only works in standard ACC mode but also displays messages such as roundabout or bend ahead etc and will auto slow down for you. I am not sure if that is effectively predictive cruise control but if so, it is not marketed as having that so that was a nice surprise. Tyres were as normal from new overinflated, so now adjusted to normal psi. Skoda Connect all up and running so all good so far . Not many red ones about either - I am a sucker for red/black trims so think it looks great. Have taken out separate tyre/alloy insurance though as a little nervy about them despite being careful!

Software Update - under warranty part of recall
Could Quite possibly be the update to ensure the car will not lock itself when the keys are still in the vehicle but you are outside the vehicle?

Thanks - the first actual reply that answered my question! Some good feedback there - will see how I get on Saturday and post my thoughts on here. When you say in comfort mode, it’s not boat like, is that in a good or bad way? As you appear to have tweaked your tire pressures, does it have individual tire pressure readings on the entertainment/virtual cockpit?
-
Sportline Edition
Only the 2.0 comes with 45 profile tyres, the 1.5 comes with 40 profile tyres (unfortunately) - at the moment, I’ve taken out total loss gap alloy wheel tire insurance just to be safe
-
Sportline Edition
You’re probably there before me then, as I’m picking mine up at 12.! As a matter of interest, what colour are you getting? Your ride will probably be a bit better than mine as you have the 45 profile on the 2.0. If you don’t mind me asking, did you get any special deal on the combined alloy/bodywork cover? I think I was quoted £500 odd quid.

Skoda Karoq Sportlne Edition UK owners (with standard 19” wheels) - be interested to hear from some of you as to how you’re getting on with the ride quality? Does the dynamic chassis control (DCC) really make any difference? I’m thinking about getting alloy and tyre insurance simply cause I’ve never had such big alloy wheels/low profile times (pity there was not an option to change the size at the order point)

Karoq or Audi Q3
Not that it might make any difference, but the direct SEL replacement is the SEL edition not SE edition (SEL edition is a bit plusher than the SE edition)
