I'd second that. I don't know if our test drive ENYAQ also had the progressive steering but both that and our Sportline feel good and light when you want it, but not twitchy at high speeds at all.

Its because this is on a new shared VWG platform (MEB - 2019), so you've come from a well established platform (MQB - circa 2012 first iteration) to a brand new platform. This needs to have the functions available for the app to call, which I'm guessing are just not there yet. The best indication of what is coming is to keep an eye out on the ID3/4/5 cars as they are the same platform and VW seem to be pushing on with things quicker than Skoda. Clearly from what the app developers have said, they have no clue on new features that may or may not appear either.

Its ruddy confusing and I'm still trying to work out how it works programmatically, but I think you need to be enrolled as a MFi developer to get access to the information which is annoying! Apple docs on the net say it is available to use in their 'plugin' but then all references to turn-by-turn info for the HUD just refers to Maps using it, and not others. So who knows!

I only have an iPhone so can't help with AA, but CarPlay certainly *can* use the HUD. I say can, as only seen Apple Maps being able to use it so far. Google Maps on iPhone doesn't give HUD, neither does ABRP (though I have raised a request with them). I've heard Waze can also do HUD, but haven't tried it yet, will let you know when I get a chance. Any other apps you want me to try? Should also be noted, it doesn't appear the augmented reality bit will work with with CP or AA. I think Skoda will need to add some integration there to take details from AA/CP and use them to drive the chevrons.

VWG are very fractured with their software development but it sounds like they are trying to sort it. The MEB platform is the first iteration of VWG cars sharing a common platform both hardware and software, I think they plan another interaction of closer integration between the brands (think they said 2026) and finally a V3 of this common platform will eventually bring all brands together on a single software (and cloud) solution. This was presented at IAA 2021 (search for CARIAD IAA 2021 on YouTube). Not quite as bad as Android as it least the platform here (MEB) consists of shared hardware and software so the base is at least the same. Interesting to see Audi have moved away from the stock look and feel with their MEB Q4 e-tron, I wonder how much customisation of s/w they have done other than to reskin it. Skoda haven't given any more details than that tweet I posted so unsure as to what the update for OTA will do. It appears all ENYAQ are on a s/w version the same or greater than the ID cars 2.1 which was the enabler for their OTA. So the 'update' may be nothing more than enabling an OTA config/flag to allow it. However VW have said for V3 that they need the cars in to update modules that are currently not OTA-updatable so its highly likely that is the same in the ENYAQ. The rumour is at least one module that is required for the upgraded charging (rumoured 125kW for smaller battery and 170kW for larger batter) is not currently OTA-able and that is what requires the dealer visit. So maybe we will just make the jump to V3. Other than OTA, it looks like the ENYAQ is pretty much on VW's 2.1.

Still no idea what Skoda do to the base software delivered from CARIAD (VWG software group), clearly there are differences between the look and feel of the ENYAQ and ID cars, but the rest seems to be very similar, so you'd think the ENYAQ could quite easily take the 09XX software without too much trouble but maybe they are holding off and releasing V3 as a big bang as that is what looks to be coming with the ID5 which is the VW equivalent of the ENYAQ coupe.

From what I've seen build weeks are only assigned a month or maybe two head of where they are currently producing, so you wont get one until it is only a month or two out from build. It took me a month to get a build week and that was back in July before it went completely crackers.

I got confirmation on Twitter, however I wouldn't be surprised if its only earlier ENYAQ that need to visit the dealer or if Skoda on Twitter are completely wrong! I do wonder as it appears ENYAQs are on S/W version 0792 and 0795 which are the same or above the ID update that enabled OTA (2.1 which was 0792). Might be although the s/w is capable of OTA it is disabled and that needs a dealer to enable it.

If you follow the 'smooth motion lever' to where it meats the glovebox door, you can push where it meets the door down towards where the hinge is and it will come free. You then move it out to the left away from the door to free it. To get the door down, you need to reach in the sides and find the tabs and push them away from the box on each side.

As Roo says the dealer contribution has been reduced to £500 now. We kept our £750 but only by the dealer taking the £250 difference off the price of the car.

Skoda has confirmed that OTA updates are coming to the ENYAQ with the release of the coupe in Q2 2022. Whether this will be V3, who knows, they did say that a trip to the dealer will be required to enable the OTA updates.

Rumours are the iV60 and iV80 will both get a bump in charging speed. I think iV60 to 120kW and iV80 to 170kW or numbers around those.

Be interested in this too. Thinking of doing similar with carbon fibre matt effect on the HUD 'divider' that appears to be piano black in all the images/video's I've seen.

I've seen this mentioned on Facebook too, who's system is down? My dealer emailed me a screenshot yesterday saying mine was en route to Emden (or even there). I've heard on Facebook that Skoda UK live chat are saying their system is down or showing wrong status but dealers can get the right status? No idea how they can be on different systems, madness if they are!

The MEB platform this is based on (both hardware and software) is brand new and shares across VWG (ID3/4, Enyaq, Born) so will not be as fully featured as older more mature Skoda software and apps, but features should be coming. I say should, ID owners have been waiting over a year now for their 12 weekly software updates that we’ll now be bundled in with.
