  1. What is an out of round tire? It was coming from the right side rear wheel so could be tire related?
  2. I've just finished a long journey from Scotland and there was a bad droning noise coming from I think the rear wheels towards the end of the trip which I think is either a bearing or something to do with the tracking from a pothole while I was driving single track roads. Does anyone know what it could be?
  3. I'm glad its found a new home. I don't think I was going to be able to buy it anyway so it worked out but I still loved what you did to it.
  4. Looks great
  5. I loved his favrit, that seemed like a good car.
  6. I thought it was a superb but second guessed myself lol and looked at a Octavia front end and I think I got mistaken because they both look similar.
  7. Lovely Octavia? These new Skoda's look really nice. I'll keep an eye out.
  8. Looks like your had been coming along nicely, has it been fairly easy to work on?
  9. Yeah id like to get a second car for tinkering/ something to drive for fun on the weekend and this seems ideal.
  10. That's not much really considering how nice it looks.
  11. Saw this for sale on market place and seems tempting for a project where I could learn work on it. Is this going to be a car with endless problems? Seems like trevorb has looked after it.
  12. Thanks for this, I'll have a think about it, your Fabia looks good also!! I'd like a nice exhaust like yours.
  13. Loving the progress. I assume you've got some experience working on cars previous because you seem to know what needs doing. I want to get an older Skoda to try and learn a bit more about mechanic's, any advice?
  14. Thanks guys I'll have a look for some originals if possible because I'd like to keep my car for a while.
  15. Are they fairly easy to install? I assume you have to screw them in if you want to add some?
  16. Yeah that's makes sense, my previous car for a ford focus mk2.5 estate and that was just like a massive vacuum where it sucked so much water out of the back if it was in damp roads and it's similar with my fabia estate so for me a rear wiper is useful.
  17. Yeah I did a 40 minute drive around country roads today after a bit of rain and the dirt really started to pile on the rear window, I never thought rear wipers even looked bad so I don't understand the appeal, if you look at some older coupes with long rear windows it doesn't look bad to have the wiper I don't think.
  18. Oh right, I didn't see if the other one was broken or not.
  19. I drove past a fabia MK2 today with a single front window wiper, is this normal because I don't remember seeing this before?
  20. Just thought I'd point out the bulb isn't some difficulty specific bulb for the DRLs but it's basically a standard reverse/indicator bulb as I found out when I went to buy one.
  21. Nice, it normally had ladders on the top if it's around in the week because of my job.
  22. Well done with all the work you've done! It's inspired me to start thinking about getting a cheap fabia and fixing it up.
  23. Ah that's unfortunate, a tasty V8 can be costly if that's the case. I like the Clubman s, especially the doors at the back but the Monte Carlo estate is a nice car, I've got the standard fabia cr estate but I've been enjoying it.
  24. Good choice, I saw one the other day in full black and it looked great.
  25. Welcome! That's a bit of a change lol. What made you switch?
