13 Plate Skoda Fabia Mk2

 

Daytime running light bulb has gone, could someone point me in the direction of the bulb i need to get (it's a spherical filament bulb and not like a headlight bulb)

 

Also is there a tutorial or youtube video of how to change it?

What model Fabia, there's 2 types of DRL (Don't think there are any others!)

 

SE/Greenline/Elegance:

Bulb type in the chin of the front spoiler/bumper with front Fogs (not sure all have fogs) Remove a small section of the lower grill next to the light cluster (Grab and Pull HARD!!) then unclip the cluster and take our the bulb holder replace the bulb - Refit is reverse (sorry for the Haynes Manual style fitting)

 

VRS/Monte:

LED Light Cluster (Acts as the Side Lights also) No idea how that come out, but it means replacing the entire unit, not just a bulb. I'm sure someone with a VRS/Monte will be along to help

Monte has same Foglight + DRL unit as the regular, same bumper same lights. Only vrs has the round led DRLs (or fog lights).

 

 

Its a BA15S P21W bulb

The plastic part isnt hardest to pull out if you press and pull like this:

Just thought I'd point out the bulb isn't some difficulty specific bulb for the DRLs but it's basically a standard reverse/indicator bulb as I found out when I went to buy one.

Re Mk2 vRS Fabia.

The DRL / Sidelight units comes off to replace without removing the bumper.

Headlights are a different matter, but then as OEM the DRL's are not in the headlights.
