I’m coming out of a ‘67’ Audi V6 Quattro Avant with 80k on the clock next week, with every mile driven by me. I’ve had this problem from mile 0 on the Audi. Audi dealer very aware from week 2 of ownership and unable to do anything about it except turn the system off, which my lease company prohibits. .... now super nervous that this awful flaw will be built into my new VRS. Bugger.

I’ll let you know when I pick mine up in the next 2 weeks! I’m sure there will be an improvement similar to the HK BMW speaker upgrades. Much happier to have it, than not, as it’s a relatively low cost option and I’m planning to keep my Octavia for a long time ... and I would have always wondered “what if” if I’d omitted it.

Strategically covert cut down ‘sliver’ piece of door insulating strip will fix .... annoying fix on new car though. I collect mine in 2 weeks and am now twitching about this 😅

New to the forum this week, and have VRS wagon arrived at Garland’s Friday for PDI. Can anyone expand on quoted reliability issues as maybe an extended warranty needs purchasing? Reliability is a big deal for me as coming out of company car for first time in 30 years!

Really interesting variation on orders. I placed order for 245 manual estate in silver with Pano & Canton in July... landed in UK last week apparently with all options. Should be handed over to me by mid-December

I was disappointed when ordering in June that there were no Kermit options, so went silver and Canton... but would rather silver with upgraded hifi than green without! Who was it that said life is always a compromise?!

Well my O4 is just arriving at UK port after June 21 order. Pan roof and Canton options added and as far as I’m aware both fitted. Super excited for the HiFi until I read this thread! Keeping everything crossed that it’s there … and worth it. Either way at least 55 years of gigs mean I can always blame poor sounds on self inflicted tinnitus!
