Coming back to an Octavia vRS?
List price (not dealer price) was under 40K given the spec so I'm OK. The estate was over in standard form.

Coming back to an Octavia vRS?
If you can find a nearly new 4.5 hatch you should be able to avoid the extortionate premium car tax (depending on spec). My July 2025 hatch came in at just under 40K, glad I bought it when I did.

Coming back to an Octavia vRS?
I had a late 2022 Mk4 VRS with a reversing camera as an extra. Apart from a period of around a month early on when the infotainment system kept restarting I had no issues with it at all. Changed to 4.5 VRS last year & it's an all round better car, a bit more refined & better equipped (reversing camera, blind spot recognition standard). If you've got the budget definitely go for the 4.5

Infotainment software
I assume mine must have been an OTA update as the car hasn't been back to Skoda since I bought it in July

Really want a Mk4 VRS but...
I had a Mk 4 vrs from September 2022 until I upgraded to a face-lift 4.5 in July. In all the time I had the car I had no infotainment issues apart from a period of about a month when it kept on restarting, after an OTA software update the problem went & never reoccurred. Excellent car - but the new one is better 😊

Octavia vRS FL first impressions
I ordered mine from the dealer before picking the car up, probably cheaper options available!

Octavia vRS FL first impressions
Yeah, I've had similar on a motorway run & if I was that bothered about mpg I wouldn't have bought a vrs 😊

Octavia vRS FL first impressions
Just because I think the car looks far better without them, I really don't like the aero covers at all. Yes,dealer removed them, you need to order a set of wheel nut covers & centre caps

Octavia vRS FL first impressions
I've had my race blue hatch for a few weeks now after upgrading from a 72 plate manual vrs. Definitely a more refined car & really happy with it so far. Still getting used to my first dsg. I've removed the aero covers & I think it looks far better without. 3rd vrs & to me definitely the best looking alloys. Standard spec apart from winter pack & a rear wiper to keep it just under 40K!! New & old 😊

Delivery times?
Unfortunately not! Dealer checked this morning & the status needs to change to delivery to dealer (something like that anyway!) so it's still at the port. My current vrs is going to have to transport all my camping stuff to Silverstone for the weekend 🏎!

Delivery times?
I ordered my new VRS at the end of Feb (race blue with the winter pack & rear wiper), I've been told that it's in the country- arrived in Grimsby 😊

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
I've been very happy with my late 2022 petrol VRS (manual). I had a brief period of about a month with the infotainment system restarting but apart from that no issues & still love driving it. New face-lift model ordered & due at the end of next month. It'll be my 3rd VRS but the first dsg

How long from order to build slot?
I'm in the UK. My order was for a race blue hatch with the winter pack & rear wiper.

How long from order to build slot?
24 weeks to delivery (not build slot)

How long from order to build slot?
I ordered a vrs today & was advised 24 weeks, hopefully it'll be a bit quicker than that!

Random Alarm
The alarm on mine did the same thing a couple of days ago when I was going to work just before 7 in the morning. I was walking up to the car & was about 20 feet away from it when the alarm went off. I couldn't do anything to stop it no matter what I did with the fob. Unlocked it, started it, turned the engine off, got out & locked it again. I did the same thing in the end, drove off & stopped a few hundred yards down the road where I wasn’t disturbing the neighbours!!. Tried all sorts checking menus & then it just stopped on its own. The first time this has happened in the 2 years I've had the car & its been OK since. 2022 VRS. Weird.

DCC or Electric Leather/Alcantara Seats on VRS?
I was debating the same thing, my previous Mk3 had electric seats but no DCC. Couldn't afford both so I chose DCC on my Mk4 VRS & I'm very happy that I did

Engine Cover Recall - TSI
My 2022 VRS had the old style engine cover, the dealer called me last month to bring it in & have it replaced - completed in a couple of minutes 😊

Upgrading to latest VRS
I had a 2018 245 Tsi vrs manual & upgraded to a race blue Tsi 245 manual in September 2022 (same spec as greendog but with a reversing camera). Very pleased with the car & I'd recommend it to anyone - excellent blend of performance, practicality & comfort. I think I've been lucky as far as the software glitches & haven't suffered with them like some others, I had a short period with the infotainment restarts but they went away presumably following an OTA update. Comparing my 2 vrs's I'd say definitely spec the DCC because it makes a big difference. I find my current vrs a more comfortable & smoother car to drive in normal mode but a switch to sport every now & then is always good. Electric handbrake with auto hold is also an improvement as is the ACC (which works fine for me). Couple of minor negatives, preferred the alcantara seats in my old car & having to switch off the fake noise & lane assist is irritating. Overall very happy though.

Considering buying a 2017 / 2018 petrol VRS
I've got a 2018 245 manual hatch so running on 19's & it's got the electric heated alcantera seats. Absolutely love the car, I've had no reliability issues with it at all. It's going in a week or so though - my new vrs is finally turning up!
