Not being smart but is that broken? To me the lens doesn't look centred or is it the angle of the photo?

I'm struggling to get my head around the delivery dates. For our two at home, one took 4/5 months between order and delivery (delivery Jan 2022) and the other took 8 months (delivery Sept 2022). From reading here. I'm wondering if some countries are being prioritised over others.

I pushed it up in the middle. That pushed it out at the edges. I then grabbed one edge and pulled a bit more sideways away from the centre line of the car (towards a door). Then it popped out of the clips on that side. Then it's a case of push sideways towards the other side of the car and off it came.

It's ignition powered on the ones here.....

It may be worth checking if the socket has become adrift and pushed into the mirror housing. Don't ask me how I found that out (I wasn't THAT severe when pushing it in!). The mirror housing just clipped off and I reattached the socket.

Well, I dropped the VRS TSi down to the dealer for a small job and I came out to find a cover fitted. I had none from new. I tried to pull it up to see part numbers but it's all sponge. There's no hard shell on top to grab. As it's sponge, I tried to pull but it just bent. I chickened out when pulling it.... As an aside, I've been told that it's months of back order for the fabric panel that clips onto the underside of the bonnet.

Has anyone tried to order a new cover from Skoda?

20% duty makes that VERY expensive....

Mine has no cover from build in Aug 22. I hate the lack of a cover and if Skoda won't supply, I'm tempted to buy one

I've seen some cables limit the current they can carry. It could be something like that.

I used the USB-c socket by the rear view mirror also. I had it hard wired into the previous car and it's so much easier to use the socket. One small cable, that's it.

I ordered a 2.0TSI VRS DSG in end Jan/start Feb 2022. Delivery was Sept 2022. The other Octavia (1.5TSI Style) was ordered in Aug 2021 and delivered in Jan 2022. Yes, there's two in the yard..... I was talking to the sales guy in my local dealer (getting a service done) and the comment was that I was damn lucky to get the car and if I ordered now, it would probably be summer 2024 delivery! Other Skoda models are no problem

Well, the 1.5TSI 6M Style at home is going back to the dealer tomorrow for it's first annual service. So, at a year old, the list of faults is zero, nada, zip. No rattles, squeeks, funny noises etc. The primary users are happy and have no complaints.

Well, I was driving in terrible wind and heavy rain and I'd no condensation after I checked. interesting as mechanical items normally dont self heal

Well, quick update. Thanks to mainly working from home, a surprisingly dry spell and disappearing for Christmas, I've not really driven the car in much rain since and had no condinsation......

Not being smart, I'd call what Stephen1612 and Sk0mk4 showed as condinsation. I've a bit more that builds up when driving in the rain, reducing light output making driving difficult.

Don't laugh but I did that today......

Update from dealer. Keep an eye on it and if it persists to get back onto them. I'll report if I've any news

No, it's not frozen. It's the flash I'd say making it looks like that. A small bit I'd understand, but not when it's making driving at night difficult

Well, I rang the dealer and got the "it's common". I did email the pictures through. I'm getting condinsation almost half way up the light.

It's weird as the other Octavia with normal LED headlights and the previous Leon with LED headlights never got condinsation. Hence I don't really buy the "they all do that sir" line. I'll report back what happens.

Just noticed I'm getting condinsation inside Matrix Headlight when driving in the rain. Car is only 8 weeks old. Before I go talk to the dealer, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
