Ï had first service before car even asked. After 16k Km (10k Miles) just filter and oil and soft upldate. I specificaly tell them that I do not want anything else. Car was just 7months old. It could happend, when you are on really long straight road, that car in opposite way could be dazzled, because long distance for camera, but its not fault of the system. There are some special conditions, where "human" works better than car, especially on this long straghts or for example you see that car is comming from the turn (you see the light of headlights) so you would turn of the lights sooner, but car itself needs some miliseconds to react when opposite car is visible for the camera.

@alancha did you check senzor sensitivity in serttings? There are 3 option I think. I have it on the one most sensitive setting and never been flashed by oposite car even in road like on video... Its working really well in my car

@timster yeah tell me about it. When we are dealing with paperwork with dealer and authorities for our Mamba Green Estate VRS from our side was everything done on Thursday, but the handover could take place on Tuesday earliest... So over the weekend and Monday, I did not sleep at all :D. Your car looks really good. From start, I was a bit sad, that we have antracite altair rims instead of black ones, but aftetr 4 months of using the car - antracite are the best, really suits the car. Black ones are somehehow hidden, doesn't stand out like it should

I also noticed, that Laura has suffer some brain damage after last update . She is absolutely not able to follow my commands,, which was ok preupdate... But the pros are higly over the cons with this update so I am happy

Hi, i think I think my was also some milimetres "loose" but i had to apply quite big force to move it. After I attached 2 škoda bike holders it was ok.

It is basic wheels for RS. They are named Comet. 18". From what I checked UK Skoda web, standart there are Altair, but for example in Central Europe are Altair rims about £400 extra. Maybe that's why you are not see them often.

23mpg are my worse resutls in city driving. Long term mixed fuel consumption in my case are around 30. Bests around 40. I am quite satisfied with those numbers.

Imho, you cannot get facelift car, if you ordered pre-fl one. In case they are not able to build it due to end of production of this car, theyll just cancel the order.

@parsey83 There is absolutely no info from Škoda side (just that is "sport exhaust system" nothing more). So I really know nothing The sound can be checked here . But from what I hear in car is just popping into the exhaust while changing gear up in hi revs or changing gear down in low revs. @sneal very nice panorama... I am planning something similar in a month... cant wait

I am positively surprised, how many satisfied ppl with O4 is here. From the other topics it seems that O4 is ****ty car, but it starts to turnaround and I am glad for it. Its a perfect car with damaged reputation from start of the production

I have also those tires. I have to say, they are exceptional on the dry road. I have feeling that I am riding the tracks. No feel of understeer at all. I do not have chance yet to try them more on wet road, but for the tires from factory I am happy with them. I do not have comparison with other, but seems to me a little bit noisy and what I red, they are wear off quite quickly. So I will see how long they will hold up. For the next one I will probably try SportContact 6/7 or Asymmetric 5/6. I will see.

People with issues are more visible than the ones which are happy with the car and dont writing anything. I have my Octavia for 2 moths now and I would definitely buy again! Without any doubt. As someone above me said, If you will be searching for head unit E,F,... and SW number 1889/1896 the car will be for 99% clear of all sw issues. With those SW car working flawlessly and its (in case of my vRS) pure joy to drive it. I would not change it. § I can clearly understand, why people saying to stay away. To buy a car for this lot of money and then have so many issues... This was definitely not managed well from Škoda, but nowdays the car are really good and I think you will have hard time to find so perfectly universal car.

@Jorgeminator I had 15800km on the clock and went for oil and filter change, so I asked for the update and they said if it will be avaivable, they will do it. And when I came for the car, they said they updated software and also maps. For me simpler solution than waiting for OTA What I did not see yet on Škodas.

So I have 1886 from yesterday and I have to admit, that even that I did not have any issue before, now its seem much more smooth. Even reverse camera is like with better framerate and resolution. I did not have chance to dig deeper what else is new, but I am quite happy now. BUT - with this sw should cars go from production line from start... octavia would have much better reputation.

From my point of view - if you are really tall and someone is behind you on the backseat (and also tall), than you probably not find better car than Superb. But all other way is for me O4 better in almost every aspect... Also the dashboard looks in Superb a little bit outdated in compare to clean interior of Octavia. Yea, the infotainment needs a little bit more time to used to it, but I would have very hard time to go back to classic clima and others controls in Superb or O3Fl...

@timsteryeah the exhaust is different only on petrol version. iV or diesel is not "affected". I was quite happy with the balck tail pipes - its more homogenous look of the car . The surroundings of the car on photos does the job also, but the vRS is just stunning car. In Green Mamba even more I love it

@timsterIt is not iV version, it is pure fuel . Maybe it was little confusing in my profile. I am used to marking IV (Roman numbers) from my country for "4". It is classic 2,0TSI mk4 . Yes it is the challenge pack I think. Because in my country, it was back day special edition to celebrate 120 years of Skoda in Motorsport so different naming but I think it mean the same. So it has black pipes and special exhaust, but what I hear was only popping while changing gears in sport mode .

I am not some F1 driver. So this is not an issue for me. Regarding recognizing by other people - yes. For now there is no other like this near my place of living, so my friends and family often telling me "I saw you there and there" But I was counting with it. And for me is current Octavia vRS really nice and special car, so we wanted to have it in special Color I wrote it above - this color needs to be seen on own eyes. In photos it will never looks as good as in real life

One Comet Rim shoudl weight acc to Škoda site 13,9kg, which is about 30.644 lb. Original rims are a bit heavier, but I think they are also more robust
