After trying to sell my MOTless Roomster I have decided that eBay is a nightmare. People buy them pull out or don't turn up. So with a heavy heart I think I'll just strip it for parts. If anyone wants anything message me. The vehicle had new front wheel bearings / discs and pads / shocks and springs / steering rack middle of last year and it seems wasteful to just scrap it. It cost me a fortune 😀 As I said just drop me a message 👍

Plot twist this evening..... Did the unlock and open with the engine running as described above, and it worked ! Thanks for the excellent reply. 👍 That bit of extra voltage did the trick. Roomster back in the good books. Time to buy some locks. Thanks again.

My roomster did the same thing yesterday. So my weekend is going to be trying to get the door card off from the inside without breaking it. As for parking sensors someone gave me a set of same year VW Polo ones which do look the same. Have not got round to fitting them yet. Is there a VW compatible part number for the lock mechanism or is it unique to the Skoda? I also have a duff microswitch in the drivers door too so the car thinks the driver door is closed all the time. Old Roomster is having a bad couple of months.

That is a strong list 💪 Welcome to the forum. 🥳 I recognise your name from the seatcupra.net forums! I was on there trying to fix my Ibiza SC. The Ibiza is currently resting its metal bones due to Cat N ice road bumper action 🤕

Off the top of my head you go into the module for for the airbags / safety system. Select the specific airbag you want to turn off. Then change the value on the left hand corner of the window to disable it. Then confirm the change. I did this and then I had a airbag missing error on my dash. I then turned it back on, then cleared all codes. Been fine since. ✌️ Saved me removing the panel to check the connector. If I get chance tomorrow I'll screen grab the menu if you want.

@Breezy_Pete Thank you for your service 🫡 I disabled my airbag with VCDS. Then I had a no airbag fault on the dash. Turned it back on and reset any fault codes. Not had the airbag fault come back yet. Weird. I did think perhaps the air con was leaking and throwing the climate error. And I will just replace the parking sensors and hope for the best. For an '07 car I'm happy with those faults.

Just got a bag of parking sensors from a crash damaged VW Polo. They are supposed to be the same. We will see....

I now want some for my Roomster. But my initial searches are not that fruitful. 😪

Thanks, it's an old barn that we converted. The walls are stupidly thick. So with the insulation the downstairs is always pretty warm.

The tired bit of plastic was a strap like on a bag for life. Just a bit thicker. No four finger grab on my tailgate hence the rally strap.
