  1. That’s brilliant - Thanks for all of that! With the Pace signals I was more thinking of flashing between the rear indicator and the rear brake light or running light (was going to see if it looks better on either or) As for the cornering lights, It used to work without the indicators until I had my car coded at a garage for cruise control & it wiped everything. Interestingly, The left fog light comes on with the left indicator, but the right fog light does not come on with the right indicator. I haven’t noticed any differences in the fog light codings though! Going to mess around with throttle response and steering today and see if it makes any changes. Thank you
  2. Not sure if it counts as I don't have/use VCDS But I do have OBDEleven Pro & I'm happy to be on the map should anyone need some diagnostics/coding etc.
  3. Hi all, Thought id start this to document my progress on my 2017 Fabia. I've done a few mods, and also just began a journey into coding the car. Any coding I do/have done i'll post on here - whether successful or not - as ive scraped multiple forums and dodgy websites to find the information I wanted. Hopefully it makes it easier for you folks. Info so far: 2017 Fabia Mk3 Hatchback 1.2 TSI - 110bhp variant Forge Motorsport Induction Kit - FMINDK2 Superseded by: MST Performance Air Intake Kit - MST-VW-MK706L *Noticable difference in throttle response using this kit vs the Forge. The positioning is also better for cool air to be taken in. Forge Motorsport BOV Kit (For Golf GTE NOT FMDV1 for generic 1.2 TSI) - FMDV1GTE MST Performance Turbo Inlet Elbow - MST-VW-MK708 *Removes the turbo suppressor and lets it whistle to its hearts desire. VAGSport High-Discharge Red Ignition Coils - VS-IC-09-HDR_PAR *Do these do anything? Probably not. Do they look nice? Yup. 😁 Cruise Control Retrofitted - 6V0054800J **BROKEN, AWAITING FIX (BLOODY DEALERSHIPS) Satin Black Vinyl Detail on top half of car 50% Tint tail lights 80% Tint Fog + Headlights. Will be testing quite a lot more tommorow and posting results, mainly just out of curiosity.
  4. Hi all, I've recently been learning into long coding with OBDeleven and I think i've gotten the hang of it. I was looking at the Carista's offers earlier on what that could modify, and found a few features I wasnt aware of. If anybody could let me know if the following are applicable and if so how to long code / adapt them thatd be grand. Also, If anybody has a cheat sheet for all of the headlight adapation codes thatd be grand. For example, Leuchte12NL LB40 being Left Fog Lamp. I'd like to know the other lights in the car if poss! Power steering default mode - Does this require driving profiles? Throttle response behavior - Gradual or Direct. Any noticable differences, any advantages to either? ESC / ASR - Seems to be a Sports mode for ESC?? Start screen logo (instrument cluster) - Presumably in Dashboard, But which byte and bits? Driving School Mode - Have tried to code before using instructions on here but to no success. Any other methods? Pace Car Turn Signals - I've been wanting to try this for a while, But the OBD 1 Click app threw up errors for all my bulbs... Cornering Lights - I have this enabled, But it will also enable the fog light with my indicator on. How can I disable the indicator from toggling it? Any help with any of these above would be absolutely grand. Thanks in advance, Lewis
  5. Good to know, Perhaps I can get it up and running on my Bolero then? Ill have a tinker around.
  6. The software train should look something like this for example; MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0480T I popped the one you supplied into mib helper (a handy website for all things mib2) as MEN2_EU_SK_GP_P7381L (Following typical format) but it had absolutely no idea. If you hold down the MENU button for 3+ seconds you can open the menu to find a) a menu of your hardware part no, current software version and b) a menu to find your SW Train. If you could take a snap of that, that'd be grand.
  7. As suggested above, not possible on these segment displays found in the S trim. Perhaps look into retrofitting an MFD - If the speedo is something you really want. I'd imagine thatd mean new indicator stalks, possibly BCM too? (so not really worth it) As for the window switch, AFAIK it should just be plug and play. Disconnect connector, remove old one, new one in and replug. Some people have suggested the driving school mode. I found that on my 2017 Fabia Bolero headunit, this mode did not work or appear. Perhaps i've coded it incorrectly, but i thought I did. I've also never seen a Swing headunit have a driving school mode - but I could be wrong.
  8. as JR said under me, Definitely worth trying the sensors before ANYTHING. I imagine when I skidded the sensors just went into overload hence why it threw hands - perhaps the same with you. Faulty sensor could be over/under reading and setting off some sort of safety thing.
  9. Honestly, ABS Sounds about right. One time when I "accidentally" skidded on an icy car park in winter, the same happened to me. I had an ABS Brake light pop up, aswell as parkpilot off, start/stop off, front assist off and the tyres. I would hazard thats a pretty strong indication its something ABS wise, possibly sensor. I wouldnt have said that that warrants a full ABS Replacement, but im no trained mechanic or auto electrician - but imo theyre close to it.
  10. Hi all, As the title suggests, Im looking for any skoda techs who may be able to help me - or anybody whos done this before. I wanted to retrofit cruise control to my 2017 Fabia, Has a speed limiter from factory. I couldve ordered the kit myself from skoda-parts, but with the cost of shipping + coding the dealership worked out cheaper. Im not going to rant into how awful the dealership is, but essentially with this stalk cruise control worked fine - yet my main beams would not toggle. I could flash them, but pushing the stalk away from the wheel wouldnt lock in so my beams wouldnt toggle off-on. Its been about 3 months, the skoda dealer havent responded to me in 2 weeks and are just as clueless as to what this is. The stalk we fitted was 6V0054800J. This was found on the skoda fabia brochure so is definitely a confirmed fit. I suggested to the dealership perhaps the part is broken inside, all it takes is a tiny bit of plastic to snap to break the toggle catch (I'd imagine) but they wont listen. Anyway, Im hoping for anybody wiser than me and (clearly) them who may be able to advise me on what to do. Is this part actually compatible? Could it just be broken? Thanks,
  11. I returned today to try and get my cruise control fixed after they failed to successfully retrofit it - they made CC work but I could not toggle my main beams. They installed new software, Which has ALSO now buggered the cruise control and the speed limiter system. Who would’ve thought that software could fix an issue with a physical stalk?!?! I handed in my car at 10am and didn’t see it back until 17:30. 7 and a half hours?! What’s the point of an appointment system if you’re not going to look at my car in that time. I could have enjoyed my morning and taken it in later had they have said! When I recieved my car back, The chap implied that this is my fault and not theirs as I provided them with the product number - This was countered by a long email that proves the part is compatible and documented on their own brochures. I have written an email to Skoda themselves AND Vantage motor group regarding this, As it is simply awful. I hope i’m not left in a situation like @DavidF1 where they do not reply to me. Rubbish Dealer, AVOID!

  14. Oh aye I am! Wonder who owns those two lush cars 😍
  15. The complete rubber part had detached, when I removed the control arm it just popped right out. I replaced them with great difficulty, At first me and my mate tried to use a Erbauer Holesaw to push the metal ring out, then we gave up and I found a bespoke press that my dad had used on my sisters mini cooper bushes. Although it was slightly too big, We managed to push it out using the Holesaw wedged between them. Getting the new ones in was far easier, Just greased it up, lined up the new one & used the old ring to push them down into place. Took us about 4 hours to do the totally f**ked one, and about 30 mins on the other side as we knew what to do that time! Thinking about it, I couldve taken that opportunity to upgrade my control arm & bushes to S1 or Ibiza cupra ones. Oh well! Putting the control arm back in was a bit of a battle, But with a few kicks and shoves we got it all aligned and bolted back up. I believe the creaking noises i was experiencing over speed bumps or deceleration from a slow speed (ie 20mph to stop) was down to the rubber grinding and the metal ring grinding too, as the pushed up rubber was pushing the control arm down into the frame.
  16. Dealt with this dealership the other day. Definitely gone downhill since owned by David Ian. Booked it in for a cruise control retrofit. Was told Friday at 10:45. Get there on time & I'm told techs wont be ready to look at the car until "At least 2PM". I ask if its okay I drive the car away to my grandparents down the road & if they ring me nearer the time to bring it back, they agree. I get a call an hour later from a very rude tech who asked where my car was. I told him what the receptionist said & said id be ten minutes, to which the phone was hung up. I get there ASAP and hand them my keys. I receive the keys back 4 hours later, after having sat outside the dealership, gone on a walk etc. I found out the car had been sat in their back car park for the past hour & nobody could be arsed to tell me it was ready! It gets better, As when I get home (30 mins away) I realise I can no longer toggle my main beams. I call back, and the woman - in a very patronising tone - asks me "have you tried pulling the stalk towards you instead of away" - as if I haven't tried everything I could think of... I believe the part is broken, as it should hold at the back when pushed back, yet it doesnt. The woman told me "I think its a coding issue with your car", as if a coding issue would effect a physical stalk from remaining back! I drive it back just for them to look at it for 2 minutes & say they'll call me back Tuesday. Overall, I haven't had a very good experience with this dealership. Maybe I just went on a day when everybody had woken up on the wrong side of the bed! I'll update this post once I hear back from them on Tuesday RE the broken part.
  17. Not bad for a wipe-on wipe-off product. Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Liquid wax.
  18. how bizarre! it happened on my mates old mk3 fabia too, must be a common issue. I pinned it down to my bushes as, well, see the picture…
  19. Old forum I know. For anyone reading on this, I've had this problem since ownership of my car in Nov 22. I found out it was my bushes on the front control arms. Dealer quoted me £310 repair for one side, Euro car parts served me nicely with £15.99 for 2 bushes. Did both sides in a day. Would have been WAY easier to replace whole control arm, but hey ho. Sound has since gone, although it hasnt been cold enough to know for sure. Until next winter!
  20. Hi folks, Hoping some technical wizard can help me. I’ve got a 2017 Fabia and i’m wondering if there’s a more up to date software version for my Bolero headunit? Device Part Number: 5Q0035842B Hardware: H30 Software: 0359 Media Codec: 3141.0.0.1 If there is a more up to date version for this headunit, I’d very much appreciate anyone to point me in the right direction of getting it. Cheers
