Mirror housing charging port.
Are you sure your lead is properly connecting to the socket? An earlier thread on this subject discusses how it's not uncommon for the C socket in the mirror casing to push further back into the casing when you try to attach a lead. It may feel like it's connected, but the contacts are not meeting properly. This happened to mine. The mirror casing can be removed, or shifted just enough, by squeezing the sides and pulling down gently. Then you can use a screwdriver to push the terminal back into it's socket. You either need to glue the terminal to the socket to stop it moving OR at least hold it while you push the lead into it to make proper connection. Nice design idea by Skoda, but poorly executed.

Tail light condensation
Condensation inside the light and/or any inoperative led's would mean a roadworthy test fail. I'd be lodging a warranty claim, for sure. At the very least it would be interesting to see how they attempt to wriggle out of it...

Tsr on Australian delivered 2022 petrol vrs
I have the full tech pack on my Style model which is supposed to have tsr. Anyhow, it seems the feature has been disabled for some reason. Can't be certain, but I believe tsr could be enabled on the Mk111?? Agree the 'different street signs' thing is BS.

Vehicle Data Label (or PR CODES sticker), where it is ?
I purchased that decoder for my car, it's pretty comprehensive. Good value for 3euro.

Skoda Ocatvia Vrs 2022 plate Tyre Pressure
Exactly Graham, once you've had that experience you wouldn't leave home without a spare again.

Skoda Ocatvia Vrs 2022 plate Tyre Pressure
@iphammer, your tyre placard indicates pressures for your R18 spare, a bit sad if they haven't given you one!

Skoda Ocatvia Vrs 2022 plate Tyre Pressure
No spare? What a joke. Maybe spares are deleted in some markets. In our market Skoda supplies a space saver with the car. Space savers aren't ideal, but way better than nothing. Mine got me out of a mess on day 2 of ownership when l sustained an irreparable puncture, only 100km on the car. A can of repair goo would have been useless. If you don't have a spare, suggest you get one.

OK, your spare is R18.

Skoda Ocatvia Vrs 2022 plate Tyre Pressure
Pressures are generally fairly high in these low profile tyres, but 2.9/3.4 is for R19 fully loaded. Yours appear to be R18 so slightly lower pressure at the front. I go by the kPa factors on my chart:

Voice commands and media
Eureka! Well sort of....but some success at last. Being Sunday I had time to play around with it a lot more and found the VC worked when I asked it to play both artist and album names, exactly as the file would show on the screen. Artist name only or album name only wouldn't do it. Also problems getting VC to recognise titles for my compilation files. Still more playing around needed, but at least I got it to work. Hope this helps you Novascape! The only other slight irritation is that it always asks me to repeat every command I make, then it works at the second attempt. It may be about pronunciation, pretty tricky if it is the case given the mega amount of different accents and dialects in the English speaking world!

Voice commands and media
Mine is MY23, built September 2022. Arrived in AU late November 22. It's all a bit odd really, since the infotainment system (Columbus in my case) recognises the USB stick and plays, you'd think the VC would pick it up also.

VRS IV - putting in Park mode and handbrake
Sounds to me that under those circumstances, the car is taking over a shut-down sequence that the driver is failing to do i.e. secure the car before switching off. It is more instinctive to me to Stop, Hit Park, Switch Off, in that sequence.

Voice commands and media
I've spent the last 20 minutes going over it again, and I was wrong, VC does tell me it's available for phone, navigation and media. I missed the latter yesterday. It doesn't offer any connections to other systems in the car (heated seats etc). However I still can't get VC to recognise a command for any music or radio stations at all, so I'm in a similar situation to the OP. On the USB stick I have music saved as albums and also in playlists I've created by genre. All files are saved direct to the USB root directory and everything works fine when using the screen.

Voice commands and media
Hmm, could be I guess. The OP reported the same problem but doesn't reveal where he/she is located. I'm finding one or two contradictions to things that owners in various other parts of the world (and the manual) suggest should be available. Presumably there's no set up requirement for voice control access eg. tick boxes for services you want it to apply to? I can't find anything relating to that.

VRS IV - putting in Park mode and handbrake
Yep, that's progress alright. Modern 'advancements' that create more problems than convenience!

VRS IV - putting in Park mode and handbrake
I think you're right. My ebrake definitely doesn't activate automatically when shifting to Park, or turning the ignition off, or opening the door on level ground. I only leave the car in Park in the garage without the ebrake on. I have noticed it self-activate on the odd occasion though, which may well have been when parking on slopes, I'll take more notice next time when doing so.

Voice commands and media
Hadn't bothered with voice control until I tried it yesterday for the first time. When I ask it to play either an album, artist or playlist (from my USB stick) it tells me "voice control is available for navigation and phone calls", then gives examples of how to ask for those. No mention of music so I'm still at a loss with it. What I do find amusing is the somewhat 'impatient' tone when it asks me to clarify what I'm asking for - AI with attitude?!!

A genuine Skoda warranty is valid nationally but would only be recognised by authorised Skoda dealers. The authorised Skoda service dealer is Dubbo Volkswagen i.e. they are listed as such on the Skoda AU website. If they are refusing to recognise the warranty I'd contact Skoda AU to clarify. Similarly, they should also assist with obtaining the previous service history. VW dealers are authorised service agents for Skoda in many regional towns where dedicated Skoda dealers do not exist. It seems Clancy Automotive in Dubbo also service Skoda along with a range of other brands but their site doesn't say if they are Skoda authorised, hence they may not do warranty work.

TSi fuel economy
A wide range of fuels are available in Aus, from cheaper generic outlets at the low end, to high profile brands keen to protect their reputations - most of the former I avoid. Certainly there are vast numbers of Asian vehicle makes on our roads, however the mix you see in the eastern states is rather more varied, I would say Perth/WA isn't entirely representative of the whole country. In Victoria and NSW for example you would also count huge numbers of BMW, MB, VW, Audi. Ford and RAM pick- up's are in abundance. Tesla's and other EV's are in tiny numbers, they're still largely impractical in this country with massive distances to cover and a sparse recharging infrastructure. Skoda is a growing brand but not as established as VW, and long ordering delays is an issue as it is everywhere. Plenty of Mk3 Octavia's here on the east coast and steadily increasing but still small numbers of Mk4, heaps of Skoda SUV's.

I am enjoying the car thanks mate, nothing to fault with it IMO. The comparison I made with the Golf 7spDSG and Octavia 8spSCG I found particularly significant i.e. some tried to tell me the torque converter route was a backward step, yet all the reviews (as well as forming my own opinion based on a test drive and now 5 months ownership) show otherwise - it's super smooth with slick gear changes. I must remember and take notice of the revs at upper cruising speed, good point. I have a light right foot which must help consumption I guess. The impact of individual driving style is often underestimated, although I can understand your reluctance to address it with the Mrs! We also have the wild price fluctuations in Victoria, usually peaking around school hols and other peak holiday times. Looking at your figures in SA it seems we work from a higher base in this state eg. even at it's lowest point I've never seen 95RON down to $1.78, and $2.25 is more like our average with up around $2.35 or more at a peak. The gap between 91 and 95 is more like 20-22c here. I must say though, I usually stick to BP Ultimate or Ampol (aka Caltex) Premium and tend to avoid the 'cheapies' with their questionable fuel sources...

TSi fuel economy
87p ($1.67) 'average' is just nonsense for 95RON. Even base 91RON is around $1.90 on a good day.
-
TSi fuel economy
The data in the site you're referencing is seriously behind the times. It's been a very long time since 95RON has been as low as $1.67 p/l anywhere. Even base RON91 is around $1.90, RON95 $2.20, dearer still for 98. These are Melbourne prices, but fairly similar across the state capitals and generally more expensive the more remote you get.
-
TSi fuel economy
Not an accurate comparison unfortunately, even though fuel here is still a bit cheaper than in the UK. In my area 95RON is around $2.20 p/l, equivalent to GBP1.15. I wish it was 87p! My point was to attest to the relative economy of the 1.4tsi alongside the 1.5tsi, purely for interest's sake. Even more significant in my case is comparing the fuel bills for my previous 4x4 against those for the Skoda.

If you thought that the paint on you new car is clean..
Very disappointing indeed. Some dealers will short cut on pre-delivery, but it's pretty extreme to hand over a brand new car in that condition, just no excuse. Glad you got rid of the problem - and the dealer...
-
TSi fuel economy
Again, no opportunity to comment on the 1.5tsi in our market, but FWIW, having covered less than 2000km from new in my 1.4tsi 8 speed auto I have no complaints about fuel economy. Short distance suburban running returns around 7l/100km (40.5 mpg). Average highway/freeway driving averages 4.8l/100km (58.8mpg) although I have experienced as low as 4.5l/100km (62.7 mpg) depending on distance and constancy of speed etc. The 8sp is smooth with plenty of torque and compares favourably in every way with the Golf mk7 1.4tsi 7sp DSG that I had a few years back. Personally speaking, I don't see the benefit of 1.8 or 2.0 engines given the performance this 1.4 puts out. Having lately been used to a V6 CRD Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 (frequently pulling an off-road caravan), I don't even think about the Skoda's consumption day to day, it's pure joy!
