I have now tried booting with a newer xp pro disc with sp2, but i still get a blue screen which says setup did not find any hard disc drives installed in your computer. I have run the hard drive self test which was good and also a memory test which was also good Any help please..

I have a xp pro disc, but its quite old now so may be scratched, could that be stopping the install?? Laptop was in full working order prior to me messing with it lol

I tried doing doing a clean install of xp pro as the hp recovery programme did not work and now I am stuck on a blue screen???????

Hi all, I have a hp laptop well its a compaq 6910p running windows xp pro. Anyway I went to use the hp recovery console as its not been flattened ever I think and the pc is just getting stuck in the pc recovery you know the black and white bar then I get a blue screen saying unmountable_boot_volume. I have researched hp.com/uk for help but all it says is to insert your recovery disc. But stupid me never made one. So what now can I download a boot disc and burn it to cd or dvd. I have a set of six bootable floppies downloaded from microsoft for my operating system but no floppy drive to my laptop??????????????? Any help at all guys please Thanks in advance Dave....

Hi all, I have oem xenons fitted to my 2007 Octavia L&K, which bulb would you suggest for the sidelights (W5W). I dont want to fit LED at the moment just a standard bulb with the blue white look of the xenons.

Just done this mod, and taken the car on a 150 mile motorway run. The car does seem alot smoother and does seem to pick up quicker. This mod works a treat....

I think we have our wires crossed, I want to replace my sidelights for something to match the oem xenons already fitted. Now when I have changed the bulbs on my older octavia II the easiest way to do that is to completely remove the whole headlight. But recently I had some work done on the new car by a large crash repair centre which had to remove one headlight. Anyway when I picked the car up everything looked good until later that night when I went out in the car and the xenons were shining only 2 metres in front of the car. Took car back the following day and they said they have to reset the xenons with vag. So can anyone say whether this is right or wrong please?

Hi all, I want to change the side/parking bulb W5W. But have been told because I have factory xenons if I take them out to change the w5w bulb they will want resetting with vag. Is this true or not? Thanx all
