  1. I had one in the centre of the car at the back under the number plate
  2. Ice vehicles have re-fuelling places on different sides of the vehicle too.
  3. Thanks, but it's sorted itself out now so i will remember for next time.
  4. anyone having trouble connecting to the car today. App opens but not receiving signal from the car? "unavailable" but graphic shows car plugged in
  5. The world loves a Pedant. 😉 I simply meant the key could be used Apologies for not saying un-lock
  6. Can you not remove the battery then lock the car with the metal key?
  7. First month stats from the car 358mile @ 3.1m/kwh = 115 kw? x 24p = £27.60 although my meter readings suggest we have only used 72kw more than this period last year = £17.28 My Mondeo averaged 35 mpg = 10.22gallon or 45.99litres @ £1.327 = £61.02 Long term guessometer now reset.
  8. My understanding is like @lol-lol states The duty will be paid when the product first gets sold wholesale, so all those further down the retail chain will just be paying the bill from the one above, similar to tobacco and alcohol duties. Vat would be added and reclaimed as appropriate going down the line to the fuel including duty price..
  9. The registration and sales difference would be hard to split I think. If they use registration data as the "sales" figure it makes sense because they are only First registered once. If they Used sales data the same car could appear twice in the data because a car can be sold and registered to a dealer for "Demo" etc and then sold "new" later. They don't always call ex demo "used". Something to do with VAT on "New" cars?
  10. The link is to "used car sales" would that show pre-registered new sales?
  11. On my dashboard the left hand side will show the single white line but the "lane assist" icon does not light up until there are two. No idea if that is what it's supposed to do but it sounds right. The centre line of a road is just that, it marks the centre of the carriageway, you can cross it when needed. If the system activated it would argue with you passing parked cars?
  12. Mine only appears if there is a white line either side of the car. Just one line in the centre of the road isn't enough to activate it.
  13. All this could change when labour set their first budget. Jeremy Hunt introduced the ved for evs in the autumn statement in 2022 in a desperate attempt to balance his budget. Labour could use an alternate jiggery pokery maths
  14. The exemption for "Luxury car tax" ends for evs registered on or after 1/04/25
  15. You don't have to take them off the road from what i have read elsewhere. You can sorn one day and re tax the next and "pay £0" for twelve months would then both be due end of Feb 2026
  16. The ages of the cars in your profile suggest they will both be £190, It is not the first year they have been eligible for ved , it's just the year they will no longer have it £0
  17. Unless things change on 30th October. EVS first registered on the 1st April 2025 First year £10 2nd year onwards £190 plus £410 if the list price was above £40,000 for 5 renewals Evs registered after 1st April 2017 but before 1st April 2025 £190 . No supplement. EVs registered 1st March 2001- 31st March 2017 £20 , This also applies to all Petrol and Diesel cars in that cohort that previously paid £0 The £10 annual discount for hybrid and AFVs will be removed, and the rate you will pay will depend on when the vehicle was first registered. If the vehicle was: registered before 1 April 2017 - this rate will depend on the vehicle’s CO2 emissions (check the current rates for this vehicle) registered on or after 1 April 2017 - you will pay the standard rate (this is £190 for 2024 but is subject to change for 2025)
  18. can we agree on "towards you"?
  19. Is the wiper stalk definitely pulled forwards?
