  1. Bit of a Tesla promotion but today's Dave
  2. It didn't used to take that long in England but now we have to apply on-line at gov.uk the application is then sent to your Council who once accepted then have to send the details to a third party to produce the Badge.
  3. Blue badges take 8 weeks so be prepared for that one if you have one.
  4. Thanks for the information, the thread is trying to solve this problem
  5. my thoughts were that should @pwatry to access the phone via android auto and try to use the dialing options it may prompt a connection via bluetooth if that is needed for it to work handsfree?
  6. I have always expected cars to lose 25-30% in the first year depending upon popularity. For one thing VAT is not payable 2nd hand so that is around £7,500 on a £45,000 car + 10% of the value of the car £3,750 leaving a 12month old car sold for £45,000 @ £33,750 and that subject to mileage
  7. What happens in android auto when you select phone? I have ever used android auto myself but ask because i saw it in that demo
  8. Hilka Pro-Craft 2.5 Tonne Quick-Lift 4x4 Trolley Jack 2.5-tonne trolley jack suitable for 4x4s, light vans and cars. Includes adjustable saddle extension for when extra lifting height is required. Versatile lifting range of 150 to 440mm (without extension) and 530mm (with extension). With a quick-lift side lever for raising to lifting point with only one pump. All-steel frame and wheels with heavy duty cast iron pump. Built-in pump prevents overloading for safe operation with hydraulic bypass system to stop ram over travel. £99.99 I bought the smaller 2 ton procraft low profile one for half the money and it has been excellent for DIY . Mine only lifts up to a foot the one above can lift up to around 20inch. Screwfix stock them, reasonable reviews with only a few reported as faulty. One complains the wheels sunk into his garage floor but is that not a fault with the garage floor?
  9. Have you tried to connect with android auto app. and mirrorlink https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgKSKeBO490
  10. UK’s largest onshore wind farm could be built in Greater Manchester https://www.placenorthwest.co.uk/uks-largest-onshore-wind-farm-could-be-built-in-greater-manchester/
  11. @domhnall Didn't realise that was you. Have seen many of your youtube videos. Actually one of the reasons I chose it.
  12. Is your 2nd enyaq the 80 ? I bit the bullet and decided to go for an ev with an Enyaq 60 in Sept. So far very happy with it but i haven't yet been far. Seems to suit my average weekly mileage of around 100. to the point where i don't see the need for a7kw charger at home. Do you think I will change my mind when i drive 256 miles to Devon next summer? Once i get there for a fortnight stay i have destination charging for tootling around whilst there too.
  13. When I had an automatic dual clutch transmission in which the gearbox and mechatronic unit shared the same oil Oil changes where essential. i would be changing it more often than every 64,000km. I would also add a caveat to that of time and use too. Mainly urban journeys or towing (extra load) mean more gear changes with possible lower miles so at least every three years Gearbox swaff ,small metal filings, will build up on the solenoids making them stick or sluggish and eventually render them useless. (They are magnetic)
  14. Which two are you comparing for £200 difference?
  15. I bought a 2023 Skoda in September and the renewals for most of the features in the "myskoda" app (replaced skoda connect?) are due in Jan 2026. Cannot find any details in the app for possible prices. But the link you have appears to give an idea of the costs. For OTA map updates and live traffic i think you need the Infortainment on line plan. If the new systems only started in 2021-22 and were free for three years i am surprised i cannot find many 2021 buyers moaning about how much or how hard it is to update
  16. This may surprise you, but I didn't.
  17. The car looks very nice, the description does lack a few details though Engine/gearbox fuel type for example. I think £5,000 will be a bit of a stretch though Compare? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202410315792065?sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_cars&keywords=vrs&make=Skoda&maximum-mileage=80000&model=Fabia&postcode=wr40lx&year-from=2006&year-to=2013&fromsra
  18. Another clickbait one about aluminium ion but it's a long way off yet because it's too expensive.
  19. Sorry just thought it relevant if someone wanted a decent range and a lower ved than an ev 😉
  20. If without doing anything with the phone until the car pings it for the code, which should be blank, awaiting you to put the numbers in and press done/pair and it doesn't work. I think I am stuck too. The only situation i have been unable to pair is sometimes in Mercedes minibuses at work never had trouble on the enyaq. we have 40 mercs all different ages. When I cannot get the ping. usually removing a phone or two from the Merc system. Works. When it fails resetting the merc system to factory settings is my default fix, but it wipes out all the radio settings etc as well which is a pain for the other users of the vehicle when they get back in and they also have to pair their phones again. By the way when the car sees your phone does it have the icons on the right for hands free and audio profile?
  21. That is the problem. Make sure the phone is visible in it's settings ( i am not trying to say you don't know that. it's just the first caveat) Go to In the car your phone should be in (B) if there are two items in (A) remove one or even both. Touch the screen on the line for your phone. Note the icons to the right and what they mean. The pin request should arrive on your phone. 🙏
  22. Don't look for the car with the phone. Look for the phone with the car system and initiate the process from the car. Wait for the phone to ask for the pin
