  1. Poppy Coral guys! Got me a vRS one too.
  2. Looks great mate, you forgot to clean the wheels though!
  3. Haha, there's a few on here mate so be careful!
  4. Jesus! Wish I was 23 brother, I'm still driving a Fabia at 31!
  5. It was inevitable that the vRS would eventually be discovered by a few baseball hat wearing drivers but we have all been here a long time and know that driven and modified properly, the vRS is so much more than a chav car. Personally I would never modify my vRS as I think it negatively affects the future resale value no matter how much you spend on it, but there are some beutiful examples of tastefully modified Fabia's on here which are very fast too. Each to their own I say. The good thing about this site is that no matter whether we come here for mechanical advice, or to show off our newly polished motors, we all share a common love for how awesome the little Fabia is in terms of underdog status, value for money and build quality compared to many other cars out there. Members who post about doing 0-60 in 2 seconds, doing 130mph on a 'private road' or easily keeping up with a Type R are usually dealt with appropriately and swiftly and take it with good humour for the most part. Luckily the chav vRS drivers haven't really made it to these parts yet and when they do I may think differently, but as someone has already pointed out, it's more about how you drive your car. I am happy to take off at a crawl from the lights and to sit at 60 in the slow lane on the motorway because with fuel prices these days, I balk at filling the tank unless I've squeezed more than 450 miles out of the last one. I smile at the idiot in the Saxo next to me at the lights revving his 1.2 frenziedly because I know that my car, should I want it to, would make him choke on stinking black diesel fumes. But why bother? Given my job I can't afford any points on my licence as it involves driving on a daily basis. Granted, I get to drive 20mph faster than the speed limit(!) with blue lights and sirens now and again, but driving faster doesn't mean at the expense of sense or not setting an example to other road users. Having said all that, good luck with the Exeo buddy - it's a fine car and I hope that you'll continue to drop in on us here.
  6. Nice, I'd love an Octy vRS mate - prepare for rocketing fuel bills/insurance/road tax though, haha!
  7. That looks awesome, good work mate!
  8. Greetings mate, the third sound you are describing sounds like the console bushes - quite a common problem and an easy and fairly cheap fix. The other ones might just be loose interior trim.
  9. You've made a good choice mate, you won't be disappointed with the vRS. I haven't had any problems with sticking locks so can't help you with that I'm afraid - if you do a search you might be able to find some info. Get some pics up soon and enjoy the new car.
  10. Buddy I'd cry with sheer joy if my insurance was anything like £260.
  11. Not often enough! I see another one now and then but they aren't as popular up here as down south I don't think. I've seriously only ever seen another one Limited Edition and I've had my car for nearly two years now!
  12. Mate it's the same with mine - it's only very slightly off centre but it's enough to annoy me. I buckled one of my wheels hitting a pothole after the recent bad weather which needs replacing - hopefully when I get the cash together to get a new one and get the tracking done it will sort it.
  13. Voltage drop and ultrasonic in interior light - if you look at the interior light you can see the grille where the sensor is.
  14. Mate I totally agree with you - right conditions/place etc, but some posts on this site lately are driving me to despair! You can bet that the OP wasn't "racing around tonight" on a private racetrack - I'm not trying to start an argument and have been trying very hard to stay off my high horse on this subject but pretty much every single day there's several new threads relating to driving basically in a dangerous fashion and ultra chavvy modifications. I'm surprised nobody has stuck a bonnet scoop off a Kia Sedona on their vRS yet. It just seems that a car that was once a well kept secret (the Fabia and specifically the vRS) has been discovered by Max Power readers and it's a bit of a shame really. I mean - who would want to buy any car which had been treated/driven in the way some of the cars are described as being treated/driven on here?! Jason - prices here are ranging from £1.30-£1.33 man, I think I'll cry if it goes up any more.
  15. I just switch my lights on during the day if it's a bit dull, it doesn't really get much simpler than that. As for the chavtastic aftermarket kits - take them back to Halfords and get your £15.99 back.
  16. Why would you be ar$ed driving like a tool with the price of diesel the way it is?
  17. grr666 - beautiful looking car mate.
  18. I'll keep an eye out for ya when I'm working nights buddy...
  19. It's a bit of a legal grey area with tinting lights - how much light is enough? Personally thought I tend to think with lights, the clue is in the name. And printing anything out to show to a 'jobsworth copper' might not go down very well, in fact it might make a said 'jobsworth' look a little more closely at your car or possibly even give you a ticket rather than advice.
