  1. There is a very sustainable future for diesel cars that is industry standard already with lorries today. HVO100 is renewable, requires zero mods, is approved by manufacturers and is 90% lower in emissions. But obviously this is not in line with authorities’ plan to electrify.
  2. I simply used the USB below the lighter socket. Its power is linked to the infotainment.
  3. 47mpg or 6l/100km over the last 6000km.
  4. Actually, my MiB 2.5 Amundsen works well with my wife’s Xiaomi and wired AA. My iPhone however fails to connect via CarPlay. Units does not support wireless AA/CarPlay. I only use it via BT for music and calls. All software and maps are latest versions available.
  5. FWIW, Gave it a couple of tries - not too bad but never got to use it without having to think, so not the most useful feature.
  6. Indeed, looks like you’ve got it all sorted on your end. Tell us what happens when you plug it in, please.
  7. Congrats on the new Superb! Have you tried using the wired connection and does it work better like that? Do you have your Wi-Fi on all the time too?
  8. I haven’t dismantled them or would try to put needles to unblock them like in the old days. Water may be too ph-high in your area. I’d squeeze some lemon juice on them nozzles or use coffee maker cleansing solution which is acidic enough to break any buildups.
  9. I don’t have a front camera. Do you first engage the park assist button? In my car it’s above the tailgate button, on the right of the gear shifter.
  10. When I switch to Reverse and hover my finger near the screen, I get options for parallel or perpendicular parking. I think it is a kind of an assistant that recognises objects in your way. It displays the blocks over other cars I am trying to park between/near to.
  11. Glad it turned out well eventually. Such a lame mistake could be of dire consequences in modern cars with plastic sumps. As you have to get the oil changed every now and then, any fixes would have extended the agony of dealing with this.
  12. Nope. G13 only. Just a fancier container Audis got at the time vs VWs and Skodas’ pouches.
  13. If you know which engine and wattage you’re getting, but also 4X4 or not.
  14. I thought it was self explanatory that the lift was a gateway to a wider variety of shocks and harder springs as well.
  15. Cheers. The mesh seem to endure. It is the seams that fail from what I’ve heard/seen.
  16. I’ve seen a plasticky one for Audi. Looked sturdier.
  17. You could retrofit standard springs and shocks for a non-Scout but use a gentle lift kit of 20mm to make up for the height. Ive heard of companies in CZ and here in BG that sell these.
  18. Mertcan, this can be done but you need to find a specialist near you who knows that they’re doing.
  19. Sounds like speaker cable insulation has worn off in a place of high friction, like the grommets / where wiring passes into the door. Moreover it is motion/triggered. While this can be a one-man diy, not saying it’s going to be easy or cheap. Depends on your will to diy and savviness. Good luck.
  20. Disable auto hold, don’t apply handbrake. Voilà
  21. The auto hold works well for me. When I switch to D and gently touch the throttle it releases the handbrake. Also I like that I don’t have to be sitting with the foot on the brake all the time in traffic. Hope this helps!
  22. I was speaking theoretically from the OP’s standpoint - they got 2 all seasons and 2 summer tyres. Me neither as shown above. My 2 other cars are FWD and have full sets of winter and summer tyres each. Our weather here has mid-30’s in the summer and as low as -20’C in the winter. We had 3-4 inches of snow in mid December.
  23. I’ve heard it does but haven’t seen it with my own eyes. Also, the cartridge alone costs circa 20 EUR. I would rather have fresh coolant every other year.
  24. I can’t imagine climbing the paved, shady, snowy and icy streets to my extended family’s house with my FWDs with summer in the front and all seasons in the rear. Even the fitters would look to put the less worn ones in the front of the FWD’s to balance the wear.
  25. I thought they were worried about the rear losing grip. While I have always had winter tyres fitted on all wheels I know of people using winter ones on the front axle only.
