I really hope Skoda UK are right
-
Spoke to Skoda UK about this in the week and they said it was coming for Octavia III in the MIB II phase later in the year (which I believe we know to be May sometime, week 22?) and that they were thinking of an official release for the current system. It would require a software update however which would require a dealer visit. Andyvee has a Smartgate module on order and is looking to retrofit himself... Can't wait for that update Andy!

SOLD ON EBAY. Atacama Equinox 2 shelf AV Rack
Ciderspace replied to Ciderspace's topic in Non Automotive Items
Doh! Thanks Yeti-Man. Location added. -
Atacama Equinox 2 shelf AV rack in silver with contrasting smoked glass which is still in its original protective cardboard packaging. Adjustable feet included but you can buy a set of carpet spikes if required from Atacama or any HIFi store - about £15-20. Both base and glass in very good condition with some minor wear and tear marks/scratches on the base - see an example in second picture - they might even polish out. Height - 35cm (without attached feet) Width - 106cm Depth - 55cm 6mm toughened glass Useable shelf size - W 97cm, D 51cm Maximum weight handling up to 100kg between the two shelves. See website link - RRP is still over £250. http://www.atacama-audio.co.uk/p/equinox-av-2-shelf-base-module/tv-stands_equinox_equinox-av?pp=24 I've advertised this twice on eBay and Preloved without any serious interest. Bought this a few years ago brand new with a third shelf and cost me over £400! It's a quality bit of kit so I just thought I'd stick it on here to see if there is any interest. I'd like £75. Collection only as its a heavy beast. I'm in Saffron Walden, North Essex. Any takers?

Re advertised due to sale falling through. Set of 4 heavy duty OEM rubber floor mats in as new condition, will fit estate or hatchback - £22 - (Horton Skoda have a set for £32 plus postage) Race Blue touch up paint set. Two 18ml cans, 1 is the race blue paint (about 80% remains, if not more), the other is the top coat (I think I've used it once) - £2.50 I can't post the mats so you'll need to collect from Saffron Walden, North Essex. The paint can be so based on recent postage experience (I'm clearing the loft of c*ap for eBay) I'd estimate around £3-5 depending on what service you require or by all means come collect. Station Logos on Amundsen System - HELP!
Ciderspace replied to tigger79's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I had a similar issue though mine is a Jan 2015 build. I had all the logos on a recognised USB stick and I would do as you and select the appropriate logo only for nothing to show on the preset, except for a small trash can symbol. I did the same for 2 further presets and gave up thinking I must be doing something wrong. The following morning I came to try again and low and behold the logos were present! I was then able to add all remaining ones immediately. Don't know if this is your issue but worth knowing it can take a while for the logos to show up for some reason. -
Yep.

Asked my dealer if this could be bought in the uk and they said no. Wonder if they would fit it if I sourced elsewhere.. Is there much to the fitting does anyone know?

17 or 18 in wheels for Octavia Elegance? ?
Ciderspace replied to llandai's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I so wish Skoda UK would give us this wheel option. It really doesn't make any sense why they don't.... :( -
I may just ring them.. Yep, WBAC said they sell to auction and if they break even then great, more even better, less well then that's the way it is. Can't believe a dealer would have bought at the price I received though.... Still, it was off the auction same day as it went on, likewise sold from the dealer same day. One of you guys SHOULD a have bought it!!!!!!

It certainly had a DPF but the majority of those 52k miles was long distance so no issues. The damage at the back was caused by reversing into a wooden post - it didn't look that bad at all after Id painted it (from the pics you can't really see it) but it would likely have been a whole bumper re spray, or maybe a smart repair.. Those two dodgy sensors would need replacing @ around £150-200 all in what with painting. The other bits were very minor. She was very clean inside. Think I should have stuck it on here much earlier and waited for a bite but I didn't want to risk her selling too quick as we needed a car for work. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Would love to know someone here bought - will keep an eye out over on the Mark 2 section.

Ah ok, thanks.

So the VBF can be removed - fully? I was under the impression it couldn't be?
-
I did contact the auction house but they could only give me a guide price of recent sales - £5275-55575 I think it was. So in theory WBAC may have made a loss, if the above is correct, but potentially the used car sale will make a fortune! However, there are few issues to resolve so there's no way it will go for that. Would love to know where it ends up and at what price.

OMG! My old car now on Autotrader for £8350 with a 3 month warranty! That is some mark up - surely no one would buy it for this? Love this quote though - 'IT IS IN FABULOUS CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT PLEASE DONT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO BUY ONE OF THE BEST SKODA VRS'S WE'VE EVER HAD' Thats not strictly true now is it... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201503061486155/sort/default/usedcars/colour/blue/fuel-type/diesel/make/skoda/maximum-age/up_to_8_years_old/page/1/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/radius/1501/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/price-to/8500/quicksearch/true/price-from/4500/postcode/cb114gl/model/octavia/transmission/manual/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l?logcode=p
