  1. Ordered 8th October, arrived this morning... Pick up tomorrow.
  2. Right! My new car is due today. No takers.... it's off to the stealers PX.
  3. Biege Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 GLX Mk II Golf GL in metallic blue. (Loved this) Scirocco GTX metallic gunmetal grey with Pirelli Alloys ( Great car, quite rare. Most were GTI ). No power steering though. Rover 214 i two door red Honda derived MKI ( Massive regret trading the Scirocco in for this pile of shyte ) Rover 216 i ( jelly mould one ) MKI Octavia 125 BHP silver with sports springs and body kit. ( Great car ) MKI Octavia vRS Black. ( Great Car ) MK II Octavia vRS TFSI Race Blue. Crashed into a bollard on collection day outside FR Pulleyn showroom in York on handover :-( MK II Candy White TDI CR DSG ( longest I have had a car. Five years, since new). About to be traded in for MK III TSI DSG Combi This week.
  4. Might well protect the paint. I would be a bit worried about the uv on the rest of the paint. Might you not end up with a paint mismatch when you peel it off.
  5. I have a vRS combi on it's way any time soon. Throughout the long wait I have worried I should have ordered the hatch. But.. sometimes I look at the hatch and I think something does not quite 'Hang together'. It seems to go slightly wayward towards the back of the car, but I can't quite put my finger where though, whilst the estate/combi has a more cohesive line. It's almost as if they designed the car in estate form first and then added the hatch afterwards. Can't say I would be unhappy with the hatch though. Does anyone think the same?
  6. I test drove a petrol and diesel vRS months back, neither had this sound generator. Never heard it I'm starting to worry that it's going to be a right pain.
  7. My red vRS estate should by en route to Benfield Harrogate anytime soon
  8. Mine is also now in the country with transport order. How long now??
  9. Dealers are wanting top dollar for demo's. I saw one somewhere for stupid money, granted it had a few toys on. At the time the 0% was a no brainer.
  10. Just had a quote locally for the Eibach's 120 + 189 to fit. That's bloody cheap. Just seen Robfabs thread, got his done at Awesome for £327
  11. Just given them a call back and the ST's lower by a further 30mm, is that too much i wonder?
  12. Or in fact are they two different springs made by Eibach one being pro and the other ST? better ring them back i'm confused. Edited to say found the ST ones :-)
  13. Been phoning around for spring/spacer combinations for my new vRS. I called the guys that did DTUK's car and they quoted me an eye watering £782 for Eibachs, with 11mm spacers front 15 rear. Awesome GTI gave me a price of £ 526 for ST Springs and the same spacers all with alignment thrown in. Considerable saving of 256 quid!! So, my next question is.. Are ST springs as good as Eibachs?
  14. Right! Need to clear a few things up on my car which is up for sale in classified. it is OK. NOTHING wrong with the gearbox. Had it checked out at two separate Skoda dealers and vasstech in Knaresborough. I have the paperwork to confirm. The DMF is also OK. Mostly my stupid paranoia at the time. Note to folk who post problems, and perceived faults. ALWAYS update and post outcome of work done on your car. you might lose a sale. Also worth noting that after five years of owning a DSG equipped car I am buying another with DSG. So they ain't all that bad.
  15. See my pm. I have just clocked round to 50600. miles, so I have added a few on since my first post.
  16. I wonder if they do a matching peak sun visor for the the windscreen. That would be rather nice.
  17. "I can't recommend this product highly enough. I regularly singed my Cavalry twill trousers and Fair isle sweater as a direct result of red hot ready rubbed getting blown out of my pipe whilst driving with the window down. Thirteen shillings and sixpence well spent" Mr Jobbings Creasey East Grinstead. "My Leather suitcase Remains perfectly dry!" Major Lancelot Carshalton-Smythe. Chipping Sodbury. "We sang all the way to the seaside" Address provided. "These super wind deflectors set the Wolsley off rather nice, I Bought two sets, one for my wifes' Morris Traveller" Mr Harrison Tweedy. Perth. "My cap stays on at all speeds" Mr Peregrine Stoop, Berkhamstead.
  18. Fantastic! It has been built!! Just had the call Only 2/3 weeks to go now. Seems like eons since ordering October 8th. My old Candy White MKII is in the classifieds, if anyones interested...
  19. My Mk III has now been built. Two or three weeks and it's off in PX
  20. They make a nice looking motor look like a Morris Oxford owned by Mr Safely Richards from Penge
  21. They look stupid. Much like summat from 1954
  22. Always been impressed by mine, maybe a bit in yer face bass and a bit of quacky treble. But I have always likes bass. I hate thin sounding systems, which some people might term detailed. I like a rich sounding system, without that muddy sound which tends to happen when the midranges are too dominant.
