Intermittent Overboost Code (P0234) on Remapped Octavia vRS Tdi
Hi all, I'm running a 2015 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI (184hp model) that has Revo Panel airfilter and air scoop, Darkside Developments Downpipe and been remapped to approx. 227hp / 480Nm. Under full-throttle acceleration in 4th to 6th gear, particularly above 190 km/h, I sometimes get an intermittent P0234 – Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition). I’ve logged the car using VCDS during high-speed pulls. Boost specified and actual track very closely (targeting ~2849 hPa at peak), with no spikes beyond requested. However, I noticed charge air temperatures (IAT post-turbo) climbing from ~96°C up to 148°C during sustained WOT — which I suspect is triggering a protective overboost flag due to thermal stress, not actual overboost. MAF values are healthy, and the VNT actuator is responding properly. This only occurs at high speeds under sustained load. Has anyone experienced similar behavior with high IATs triggering overboost codes on a remapped TDI? Would a better Charge Cooler pipe resolve this? or should I look into ECU compensation maps? Here is some logs i did in VCDS and also asked Ai to do a little graph. Appreciate any insights. LOG-01-IDE00021_&11.CSV.xlsx

Mk3 octavia vrs tdi downpipe/dpf delete
Hi, did it do much difference in sound wise? I am looking to get this dpf gut/removal but Cat still in place. I already have no rear muffler/backbox but sounds standard. I do want a bit of noise. Just asking. Thanks

Infotainment retrofitting
Just curious if you've come across anything for our system. Mine's the same version: Part number 5E0035842A, Software 13.41.19_H15.10.138_STDPlus_EU. Any luck finding updates or info?

MIB1 android auto/ car play solution
Awesome that you found a better microphone! Was the new one installed in the same place as the original, next to the ceiling lights? I've noticed some Audi systems use 3.5mm aux FISCON mics, which I'd imagine are also good quality (and hopefully not cheap copies) https://kufatec.com/en/fiscon-microphone-for-audi-interior-light/36338-1 . I wondered if one of those could work with Double Take in the original location. It's a bummer, but it looks like I can't put an Android box in my MIB1, and 480p just won't cut it, as I've seen a comment that the person paying nearly £700 for the small, not even 6-inch screen, haha. Out of curiosity, did you go for the 4GB RAM version of the Android unit? I couldn't quite tell from what I saw.

MIB1 android auto/ car play solution
Man, I was so keen on getting one of those 4GB RAM / 64GB storage Android Auto screens after seeing it in my friend's Skoda. It seems decent, but he says the screen is crazy bright even at its dimmest at night. And you're totally right about the microphone being rubbish! It's annoying that you can't just connect it to the car's built-in one. I'm hoping there's a solution, like a decent external mic. Anyone know what kind of port the mic uses on these things? AUX, maybe?

Switching from 225/35 R19 to 235/40 R19 tyre on Extreme 19s
Hi, so I will be soon I need of 4 new tyres My car is MK3 Octavia vrs 2.0 TDI on standard suspension but I do have 15mm spacers on front and 20mm rear. Bought this car about 2 months ago and urrently running Pirelli pzero but they are 5 years old and basically no grip under wet conditions. I live in Ireland which is filled with speed bumps and some potholes, currently running 225/35 R19 but wanting to get something to absorb better the potholes etc. I seen that most get the 235/35 R19 version. But I'm wondering if I can also go up with the higher sidewall like a 235/40 R19 tyre. Has anyone got them sizes on their car with spacers included? Or would it be better if I get 225/40 R19 Instead

235 35 R19 on Xtreme wheels
Another question here, if Im on 225/35/r19 I do want a higher side wall because of poor road conditions where I live, would it work if I put the 235/40/r19 Xtreme wheels. Also to mention I do have 15mm front and 20mm rear wheel spacers. Don't mind the puncture, it's fixed 🤣

Glow Plug Help
I am looking at my own car now and I do not see that any of them have the sensor, Octavia Vrs 2.0 2015. All over YouTube shows that 1 out of 4 is pressure sensor, but I check mine and they all look same. Did you have any other type of connection for number 3 or are they all the same long plug? Thanks
