Mk3 octavia vrs tdi downpipe/dpf delete

Featured Replies

Hello all,

As title suggests i am looking to remove dpf and replace it with downpipe. I own 2013 octavia vrs tdi and i am not sure which downpipe fits. So far i saw 65 and 75 mm options but when i had my mechanic check for diameter he said that is is 60mm. Obviously i need imput from people who acctually fitted downpipe on same model as well as some suggestions on which brand to go for.

Thank you so much in advance.

As this is a UK based site and such an activity is illegal for road use, you might struggle to find the answer you need here.  Maybe try contacting Darkside Developments.  They race such engines so should have the knowledge you need.

As an alternative suggestion, you could do a DPFectony which basically consists of removing the internals of the DPF whilst retaining the chamber.

Yes I did this on mine. The cat and dpf come off together as one piece. Just be careful not to be too rough when you are removing the internals as there is very little tolerance for error when reattaching the cat to the turbo to seal properly.

Hi, did it do much difference in sound wise? I am looking to get this dpf gut/removal but Cat still in place.

I already have no rear muffler/backbox but sounds standard.

I do want a bit of noise. Just asking.

Thanks
