Hi guys, I have had a problem for a few months. When the engine runs in idle, the light in the infodisplay in the dashboard flicker very vaguely. When I then turn the steering wheel, it seems like the electric power drops and the headlights briefly dampen.....? I was thinking altenator or a charging relay? Anynone with a good idea what this problem could be? Bgds Dan

That is exactly what it is......personal preferances. Somehow it seems that the only REAL Fabia in this forum is the mk1....... I must admitt I never thought once about buying it when it was at the dealers. It just wasn´t the model for me. I like the current model and in my eyes makes the mk1 look old. I have a lot of respect for people who is passionate about their cars, but sometimes this makes them blind for new things. The mk1 is for me not a benchmake in automotive history, so all the critisisme against the mk2 sometimes seems a bit overkill. Also when I and my fellow mk2 owners are called idiots for not buying a Fiat 500 instead, on a Skoda forum, things get a little out of hand... It really annoying to be hammered all the time over and over again with the same things, so please.....move on guys. just my 2p Bgds Dan

I was dissapointed at first, was propaly expecting a bit wider arches to make it stick out more from the Sport, but I must admitt, after having having given it a thought, I really like it now..... The front looks aggressive and sleek with the new bumper/spoiler and the rest is what I like already. The cabin is very like my Sport witch makes it a nice to be. Am very pleased with the seats, offers good comfort and "grip". Hopefully they have corrected the small problems with noises from the dashboard..... All in all, a car I will strongly think about when the time comes to replace my current Fabia. Actually I also like the Scout model of the hatchback, but that is a different thread.. Bgds Dan

Hi guys, I must admitt I´m dissapointed. Besides the colour and the front bumper witch I like, It looks alot like my Sport.... The cabin and styling is almost what I have now. Thought they would try to make it stick out some more from the Sport. Would have liked to see some more agressive styling, perhaps a bit lower and wider arches. Speaking about prices...........the Polo and Ibiza Cupra is priced at approx. DKK 300.000,- here in Denmark, witch is at todays rate 35714,29 pounds.......... Oh yes, def a good idea. I have fitted a Whiteline RARB and it was a easy fit. It made a HUGE difference to the handling, absoluly a must. On the Whiteline there is 3 setting and it went directly in the hardest mode.... I also purchased a front ARB but will wait untill the bushes need replacement to fit it. On my model (1.2 12V) the fitting of a strut brace is a straight job, no problems there. Bgds Dan RARB.bmp

How on earth can you mean it is dangerous to use driving though roundabouts........ :no: Claming it is dangerous is complet nonsens. If you can´t go though roundabouts with the armrest down, I´m not sure the armrest is the actual problem here.............. I drive though Copenhagen every day using the armrest and have NO problems at all. You can always discuss if it´s worth the money but that you can do with everything. Bgds Dan

I don´t want to go the coilover way, as I´m very pleased with my adjustable Koni dampers. Found these for the old fabia 6Y http://www.europerfo...product=3912052 . Does anyone know if they fit my Fabia 1.2 70 hp from 09/2007? Does anyone know who might do springs that lowers this much? Bgds Dan.

I wouldn´t do without it.... Regarding access to brakehandle its only, in my opinion, a matter of getting used to it. It´s not a problem in every day use. I find it very comfortable to rest my arm on. Just my 2 cents.......... Bgds Dan

Very very nice Oxboll, I´m currently considering changing my suspention setup to a lower spring, as I looking for more that a 30mm drop. If that is impossible I have to get a coilover set. I can see you spend a lot of time on the roads ( +31000 miles). How is the Vmaxx kit you have, in terms of comfort? Is it very hard or ...? I drive though Copenhagen every day, and there is a lot of potholes and don´t want to thrown out of the car due to a very hard setup. Have you had any issues with your wheels, scraping the wheelarches? Are the 8x18, ET35? Bgds Dan

There can only be one.......... Philips Xteme bulbs. Buy them from powerbulbs and you get the Briskoda discount... The ones I have now have lasted almost a year and are still running, and we have to drive with lights on all the time here (Denmark). Hi Mole, I have had the exact same problem with mine.....The noise was worst in level 1. Took it to dealer and they had experienced the problem a few times before. After having changed the filter, they chanced the vent. motor but without any improvement. Then they waited for help for Skoda Denmark, and decided to change it once again......:confused: Nope no improvement.....:eek: I suggested that it might be related to the regulator since the noise was worst at level1 and then declining though the 2 other levels. After having the car in 2 days they changed a ballast/resistor ( not sure if it´s correct name for it...) and then it helped some. It was back to an acceptable noiselevel. Just to round the story off, they scratched my steeringwheel, so they agreed to change it. I left my car at the dealer at night, and received a call from them the following morning, that my car was standing on 4 boxes without the wheels.. They had also broken into the car, resulting in a damaged door. Bye bye BBS.....:thumbdwn: So all in all it has been a terribel month. Hope this helps you in troubleshooting on your car. Bgds Dan
