  1. Hi, Though being an experienced IT Engineer, I'm totally baffled with the Android Auto problems with my 2022 Octavia 1.4 TSI PHEV Combi. TBH, before this I had VW T-ROC and never had such problems with it. Here's the list of my annoyances: Everytime I turn on the engine it asks for me to login to my phone screen. Never had to do this on Android Auto on a VW T-ROC. I mean, can't it not remember your device? Everytime I open Android Auto, although auto play of music is disabled, it automatically starts playing the music. I've checked Android auto, VLC player etc. No resolution. I've only tried it with VLC, is it the same with other media players? Forgets Tomtom AMI GO app and persistently loads Google Maps. This is annoying, especially when you are abroad and you don't want to roam your internet. As a solution you need to first open the TomTom app on your phone, then connect to Android Auto. Then it works, otherwise app isn't visible in AA. Everytime I connect my dashcam to the USB (I know, this isn't Android Auto related), the dashcam goes into mass storage mode.....Only solution I could find was to terminate the middle two connectors on the USB cable. Any solutions would be appreciated :)
  2. i had the same error message last week when I had left the car in 40C. Interestingly the error dissappeared once I cooled the inside of the car and never saw it again since. Reading the comments it makes sense. I suspect it is quite humid and hot in Egypt this time of the year, which may be affecting the micro-switch.
  3. I learnt that the spec of the oil is VW G 052 182 A2. (It's so expensive! about 58 euros / litre !!!) Generally known as dual clutch transmission oil. Compatible oil filter (DSG 7 speed) are (not confirmed): AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VW (0GC 325 183) AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VW (0GC 325 183 A) AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VW (0GC 325 183 D) AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VW (N 043 809 2) AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VW (N 910 845 01)
  4. As my car is at 65000 km already, it's time for the DSG (transmission) oil and filter change. As the car is already out of warranty, I see no point in taking it to the Skoda service shop to pay more. I'd be grateful if you could let me know the oil specification and the amount required for the DSG oil and filter replacement.
