Forge FMKT19TDi Kit? Anyone used them?
billy2981 replied to billy2981's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
These came today. They look awesome and solid. The end bits look more solid than std which seem hollow. These look machined and feel solid. One question tho. They come with jubilee clamps...... Are they to go on and clamp the pipe to the ends? They look mint without but I am guessing they are needed for secuing the pipes more? -

Cambelt change and decreased mpg
billy2981 replied to SlowTDI's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Great info cheers. Take it this will work on a vrs too? Gonna have a play over new year -
I used the marks when doing the timing belt and it was off so had to do it again. Vcds showed 5.5 now its -0.5 after fiddling. Gonna try again over new year to see how much better I can get it. Spec is -3/3

Nope nor accurately. Vcds mate. These need to be bang on.

I don't think that would be a good Idea neither. even when hot that would be too thick. Oil is not just a lubricant, its a heat transfer too. Lubrication comes from flow not the thickness of it, if its too thick it wont flow so will not remove heat from the components, nor will it lubricate. on the other hand an oil that's too thin wont lubricate neither, Its a balance of how you drive and how hot the engine runs.

Ive been using effiplus epluto 205 45 16 on a spare set of std alloys and the car just wouldnt get stuck. Road i lived on was steap with no run ups and even 4x4 with all season tyres couldnt get out. Me well no probs. Even rubbed it in their faces by driving in and out a few times while they all struggled and dug the snow to go to work. Served them right after the year before where i cleared the entire road and never got a thanks from any of them.

Hi guys, I am thinking Ive got a boost leak and the only pipe that's loose is the one that goes into the turbo, you can wiggle it about a fair bit in all directions including in and out. Has anyone used this kit? http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Silicone_Boost_Hoses_Kit_for_SEAT_Ibiza_19TDi_with_ASZ_Engine_Code--product--1132.html There is just the turbo pipe too http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Fluorosilicone_Turbo_Hose_for_SEAT_Ibiza_130_Diesel_and_Skoda_Fabia_VRS--product--274.html I really want to know if these are a nice snug fit? cheers billy also anyone know where to get them from a bit cheaper, cheapest Ive found was £205 for the kit.

Fabia MK1 Elegance Breaking (1.4 16v)
billy2981 replied to AaronMountford1990's topic in Breaking cars
Stoke is a tad far mate sorry. I need the long black inserts that go in the roof where you attach the roof racks. They are just pressed in and bend easy hence why i need to go get them. -

any DIYs?

hes done that I think They have sent you the right parts? is the DMF ok? is the plate all secure? Mine had loose bits Good luck sorting it.
-
Are you sure you dont have a leak?

How does the bolts in the bottom of the cup not foul the springs? If you have coilovers the lower adjuster would also not seat right? Isnt the Whiteline bar thicker slightly? that whiteline also connects further back to the shock strut bracket and to the beam itself so in my mind would be stronger and work better? its a good deal on the price tho GL

Have a quick search mate. Tones of threads on the subject.

vRS timing belt change. timing help please.
billy2981 posted a topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
ok, ive done the timing belt on my fabia vRS and the car runs ok. I have noticed a significant drop in mpg tho. Reading a few posts it looks like i needed to check with vcds for the advance. I have vcds lite as it was the only way i could update from the old vag com. I am in the measuring block 004 and i think timing is the synchro. Angle -3..+3°c If so mine is reading 5.5/4.9 Does anyone know what i should do. Car seems to drive ok but i have lost a little mpg. Did put it down to old 5week old fuel but just filled up and its the same seen a vid on youtube to tweek the cam timing but just wanted to see if anyone could help here first. I need to know as i plan on keeping the car and doing it again next time its due. billy -
Wow thats a steal. Glws

Funds sent mate cheers Life saver.

I couldnt get rid of my chatter even when driving mine made a noise till you were up over 2k then the road noise was enough to drown it out. Only other way in town was have clutch pressed. Since going back to dmf and std sachs clutch its bob on and quiet. Well as quiet as a tracktor engined car can be lol Agree tho that you will get an increase in noise. Unfortunately thats the price you pay for that kind of power. Only other way would be get a more powerful car as std. I dont understand how people say dmf are not able to cope when my m5 has a dmf and thats more powerful than a fabia. Boys who charge them still use std clutches too so why cant you get a strong enough dmf for the fabia?
-
For that power ide go smf. I had their dual friction kit and smf and didnt like it. Juddered and made the box chatter like mad which was crap but due to your power youll need to put up with it i think. i think k666 doesn't have judder coz the dmf takes it out slightly? If your on a budget then cg is prob the only option but if not helix seem the best option.
