Unfortunately, mine was won of the 2.0 tsi engine failures. It had a replacement unit installed in 2014 while I lived in Belgium. Did not have to declare that over there. I have a picture of the side barcode and lots of numbers and dates as you mention. I have put the big numbers and letters in bold on form. Will call my local stealer to ask them.

I am re-importing my uk car from 3 years abroad. Paper work is crazy !! Nice to know they shut all dvla offices in that time :( Anyway, it asks for engine number - not code. on side of engine cover it has a large in bold series of LL0 000000. L = letter, 0 equals number. There is a longer number and bar code on second sticker down. does anyone know what the dvla want for the engine number please? i am stumped, any help greatly appreciated. it at least now has an MOT and insurance

I have just returned with my UK car from Belgium (lived there for 4 years). I swapped back the right hand drive headlight units and put all the bulbs in. They all work perfectly apart from sidelights. On the car when I turn side lights on the DLR lights dim but the tiny bulb (on long plastic stick in unit) which I thought was side lights don't come on. Are they meant to? Only concerned due to MOT to get it re registered here. Any help massively appreciated

Having seen the Skoda "electric factory fitted" today on a Kodiaq at Brussels motor show I can confirm that as others say there is the button as on the diagram. A light that stays orange. You pull it, bar drops about 10 cm you pull it into lock by hand. Push button again, unlocks and moves about 5 cm and you manually push it up. It is not fully electric and bumper cut under car to fit it. But I would get this, rather than any other after market etc

The wheels on this were much nicer than what you can buy. I also hope production cars don't have the dsg gear stick from an old boy Rover 75 which it currently has yuk. The dash inserts (black with line on) don't look so bad in real life I thought in pictures that it looked cheap

I have just been to the Brussels motor show. They had a white SEL equivalent with the Alacantara seats (black) And a red Edition equivalent. It looked really nice in red. But it had a special leather seat and a flat bottom steering wheel which were great. The space inside is vast, even the boot with 7 seat mode you really impressive. Lots of people queuing to look at them. I attach pics.

Yes, i unlinked my phone loads and relinked and it now plays the music but no longer says song name. I was a bit dumb and no cd in the player so that was my fault.

Yes that is my concern, my Octavia 2.0 tsi VRS is not cheap to run. Can get 40 mpg if sensible. But is there a price for fun ;)
