lowering my vrs, but which bushes do i go for ?
Damian@DPM replied to Stevey_D's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
As mentioned front wishbone rear bushes are the most popular to change and make a big difference. Damian @ DPM Performance -
Which bushes are you after? Damian @ DPM Performance

As said the KW Variant kits are a very good choice and some of the best coilovers on the market but the Weitec Hicon GT which are also made by KW are a very good choice and popular with other forum members. http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/weitec-hicon-gt-coilover-suspension-kitbr-octavia-1u-14-16-rs-18t-19sdi-19tdi-20-fwd-0197-p-1590.html Damian @ DPM Performance

If you want a new set just give us a shout and I'm sure we'll be able to help you out. Damian @ DPM Performance

A good quality springs and shocks kit matched with thicker ARBs will give you improved handling whilst still retaining comfort. As mentioned the Weitec Hicon GT coilovers are also a good choice to think about. Damian @ DPM Performance

If you want the ride quality to be similar to OEM then I'd say stick with a good quality springs and shocks kit. Damian @ DPM Performance

The Eibach Pro springs will give a very subtle drop on the VRS but a good option if you wanting to keep the standard dampers. Damian @ DPM Performance

can't decide on how much to lower my vrs?
Damian@DPM replied to vrs890's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
As mentioned, the Weitec Hicon GTs are a great option and then just play with the height until you get it looking how you want. Damian @ DPM Performance -
As mentioned the KW V3 are a superb kit but you need to be tracking the car to get the full benefit out of them. If your wanting stainless steel then the KW V1 Inox Line are a very good option and set up pretty spot on for everyday fast road use. Damian @ DPM Performance

It's always best to try and change both the springs and the shocks for a matched set and if budget allows I'd say go for the coilovers. Damian @ DPM Performance

As mentioned the Eibach Pro springs are a very popular option and one of the best options available uf you just want to change the springs. http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/fabia-6y-99-07-lowering-springs-c-1929_1930_1979.html?zenid=fd8a20c2acb01728ade5bed2525b9f8f Damian @ DPM Performance

I'd say the Apex are slightly stiffer and less refined compared to the Eibach Pro springs. Damian @ DPM Performance

AP vs Weitec: Ride Quality Differences
Damian@DPM replied to Leodhasach's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
The Weitec's are the better quality kit and you can tell the difference in the ride but the AP's are still a very good option. The coilover sleves are now available but we're just waiting for a price from KW on them. Damian @ DPM Performance -
You should be fine with the Eibach Pros, it's a very popular kit with forum members. Damian @ DPM Performance

Always check application and part numbers but usually the Ibiza 6L and Polo 9N are the same kits. Damian @ DPM Performance

Looks good! Damian @ DPM Performance

The Whiteline 22mm and 24mm bars are both great options depending on how you want the car to handle. Damian @ DPM Performance

Out of the listed kits I'd say the H&R Cup and KW are both very good options in terms or build, ride and handling improvements. Vindaloo, the FK AK are good for the money but are a budget kit, if possible stretch to the Highsports. Damian @ DPM Performance

As mentioned it is a good time to change to a set of lowering springs with the Eibach Pro being a very popular choice. May be worth while asking how much more it would be to fit some rear springs as well. http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/eibach-25mm-pro-lowering-suspension-springsbr-fabia-6y-rs-19tdi-0903-p-105.html Damian @ DPM Performance

Uprated Suspension without changing ride height
Damian@DPM replied to G-slave's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
As mentioned the Weitecs are a very good option and just set them to standard height and you won't have any problems. Damian @ DPM Performance -

Depending on how low you want to go it may be best to get a matched springs and shocks kit. The H&R 20mm springs that are specifically for the VRS are a very good option and seem to work well with the standard dampers. If you wanted something a little lower, both the Weitec and KW kits are a very good choice. http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/octavia-1u-96-06-springs-shocks-c-1929_1939_2162.html Damian @ DPM Performance
