Need a set of spark plugs for my vRS. It's stage 2, running 282bhp so they need to be good ones. What's recommended for tuned cars?

If we Vote " NO " and leave the EU.................
MartynVRS replied to Auric Goldfinger's topic in Off Topic Chat
I just don't know what exactly will happen if we do decide to leave and no-one seems to have a proper answer. Nor is anyone properly listing what we gain by being in the EU My postal vote came Friday. Remain or Leave -

Extra Gear was good. More car stuff for car people. Main show will always pander to the average person. -

Matt is pretty good. Just turn Chris down from 11 to off and it will be fine. I think the problem is the script is still for old TopGear. People put up with that carp before because of Clarkson, Hammond and May. Now they've gone they are more critical of it. Don't forget BBC3 has Harris on after it -
No longer for sale - 2010 Octavia VRS DSG - Modified 341 BHP, £7295 ONO

Another bargain car and has the diff and KO4 I want for mine. GLWTS -
Anyone? Surely there's plenty of brake options given it's Golf underneath? What have others gone for?

Weighed this morning and down to 108kg, fat down a little, muscle up a little. It's going the right way.

And that's the thing. It's not like I don't get test drives. A 10 minute conversation and I got a Type-R for over an hour. Tried Clio RS200, Mazda 3 MPS, several Skoda's, the list goes on. I'll wait a month and I'll phone for one but may pick a dealer that's more rural. My local one is a group of a few and really isn't good. Apparently after care is awful.

I'll have to try one but then lots of people are wanting to. I'll wait for the initial hype to die down. Watching Jake drive was the best thing I've seen in terms of really seeing what it's like and how it handles. Media always over hypes a fast Ford but it sounds like this is actually a good one. I've driven a Fiesta ST, albeit briefly and even that took a call to Ford UK to get it. Local dealer wouldn't even entertain test drives as he said they were selling without them.

Vivoactive HR arrived this week. Took ages for anywhere to stock an XL strap. Tracks pretty much everything plus there's loads of apps, widgets and clock faces you can install. There's an LCARS one so the watch face looks like a Star Trek workstation. Work has been flat out the last few weeks, going home this weekend to contemplate a few things so a good chance to get some walking in. I've been doing more kettle bell exercises but often it gives me groin strain so I have to take it easy. Weight is holding around the 110kg mark but it fluctuates daily. I'm starting to get stronger and an hour on a turbo/ exercise bike at a cadence at around 100 is OK for me now. Just need to translate that to the road.

Currently have a Cupra K1 setup the previous owner put on. They don't need them yet but discs and pads to get maybe hassle as on ECP they list a few different shape of pads. I'd have to strip one down to see. I'm thinking when they do wear out I'll change the whole setup as they work OK but weigh a load and getting rid of weight is always a good thing. What are my options?

https://www.goapr.com/products/intake_carbonio_20tsi.html I have this air intake but after the filter. Looks K&N "like" so is it just a case of finding one with the same measurements? Or does anyone else have one and know where to buy a new one from? Mine I've cleaned but it will never be perfect so just want to change it.

Thanks I'll try that. It's definitely the glovebox

Been doing it the last week and it's driving me nuts. Anyone else has this? What was the fix?

2010 Octavia MK2 FL VRS TSi (60k) - PRICE REDUCED £7500.00
MartynVRS replied to VRS_Dan's topic in Cars For Sale
GLWTS, looks to be a bargain that that price. Interesting to see what it sells for as mine is 6mths older and a few more mods and power and I paid more than that for it over a year ago. Hope you sell it here too as it looks a good one. When I've ever tried to sell here though people seem to talk but never put their hand in their pocket and pay for it. -
2016 F1 General Discussion Thread
MartynVRS replied to camelspyyder's topic in Motorsport Discussion
Rosberg is driving flawlessly, momentum is with him which sometimes can be unbeatable. I don't mind if he wins the WDC and if it ends up being a 3 way fight between him, Lewis and Kimi then all the better. All I want from this year is for Kimi to finish ahead of Vettel, Mclaren to start constantly score points and Verstappen and Magnussen to have some memorable races. -
Nice write up. Expected it to be more rear biased which is great. Haven't driven a Golf R yet but I'm guessing it's setup for understeer. Drove an old S3 and it was awful. It understeered badly just like an average FWD car so you'd lift off to adjust so it almost seemed pointless it having 4WD. I want a 4WD that can power through a corner and it sounds like Ford have done that. I like the RS from the front and rear but not too sure of it side on. Love the colour and the seats though.

Kettlebell exercises are going well. Swings and squats mean my legs ache like I've done 100 miles on the bike. Going to do legs on alternate days, upper body every other day. Bought a Garmin scale which is handy for proper tracking of weight, fat and muscle. Not sure how accurate it is but says I'm about 40% muscle, 32% fat then the rest bone and water. Going to put effort during the week to work in muscle then aim on weekends to go for longer rides.

Skoda Fabia vRS MK2 5J Wagon (+ Optional Extra's)
MartynVRS replied to A9X SJ's topic in Fabia Projects
Just get the Bilstein B12 Kit. Comes with Eibach shocks and Bilstein dampers which I put on every car I own. Should be standard fit from factory -
It's still carp. Control Panel should just be there. I don't want to be searching for things all the time Server2012 is just as bad.
-
I'd say no for now. I upgraded but I now often get blue screens and software not working, it's frustrating working out where settings have moved to compared to 7. Tempted everyday to format and start again with 7. I'll hold until September and if it doesn't improve it's gone
-
Thanks I'll try that. My mid is more to the left atm so I'll see how it goes
-
What Treble, mid and Bass settings are people using and with what music? Tweaked it a bit but can never get it spot on. I've turned off the speed setting too as that got annoying.

Honda New Type R 2015 prices , spec and release dates
MartynVRS replied to vrskeith's topic in General Automotive Chat
The GT ones are a little more but the ones to have as they have all the options. You could also get a red kit or a carbon kit. If you find an ex demo with the carbon bits it could be a bit of a bargain. Also a few have tried to tune and with a generic map and a down pipe brings these up to 375bhp with lots more to come. The one thing I'd like to hold onto is hot hatches staying front wheel drive. Anything with 4wd is hyper hatch territory. The Type-R is probably as far as they'll go with FWD I just hope some manufacturers remember light is good too. A Honda S660 with 150bhp would be nice. Completely the opposite to modern hot hatches with power but I miss working a car hard too. It's great fun getting every last drop of performance out of a "slower" hot hatch. I never liked 306 GTi-6's until I run one for 3 months. Loved it by the end.
