Blue visions are very white with a tint of blue inside the headlight and around the edges of the beam. Vey bright compared with standard.

I'll try to pop down there the weekend for a poke around, not far from where I live. See if they want to swap if for a not so limted edition silver RS :scrambles

Yeah I had this, seems to be baked on brake dust. I think the wheel cleaner I use is by Carplan, foam kind of thing. To remove the spots try Autosol metal polish, I found its quite good on the alloys when used in small amounts occassionally.

Right I understand :p

Keeps flashing service upon start up even though it was done a couple of weeks ago. I'm guessing they forgot to reset the computer gubbings that controls it?

Will be seeing what the dealer has to say. Sorry for bringing the subject up in public if it is considered taboo.

Hi Just wondered if dealers have the technology available to get a few moe bhp out of the 1.8T via modifications to the ECU, ie remapping etc or is it only people like Jabba who do it?

Mesh For Bumper And Rear Bumper Spoiler
Neil RS replied to robbie_fabia's topic in Styling and Car Care
If you can somehow conceal them you can use zip ties to hold the mesh down. Or use something like no more nails. Mine is held dowm with a couple of zip ties and a couple of blobs of a product called kneedable steel. -
Mesh For Bumper And Rear Bumper Spoiler
Neil RS replied to robbie_fabia's topic in Styling and Car Care
Yep Halfords do about 3 designs of mesh AFAIK. I have some on my micra (no laughing), good quality and not too difficult to cut. -
Tried T-cut or similar

Just watched them at uni.(network says speed is 100Mbps) Fantastic vids :drive1:
-
Doh I need broadband lol:( Anyone got any smaller vids

Your test was only over 18 miles which is not much, especially as only 5 of which were on the M-way. 35mpg sounds alright as to get ot over 40 takes a good few miles on the motorway in my expereince. Rob is right about the instantaneous value and the throttle being very sensitive. Watch it when going up gradients on the motorway too, makes more of a difference than you'd think:drive1:

Updated Car Pics (galant) Wheels And Spoiler On!
Neil RS replied to Dmac1969vRS's topic in General Automotive Chat
Very nice, I always think the Galant looks good. Nice alloys you have. Maybe get some clear or smoked side repeaters instead of the orange ones. -
Ignition Coil Fail Rate - 1.8T engine
Neil RS replied to skodaw's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
2 don't know if the current one is the dodgy one still or the improved version:confused: -
Put a pair of Philips blue vision in my micra yesterday after reading the reviews here. They really are very good. Powerbulbs.com are great like others have said, ordered 11.30am friday, arrived 09.00 saturday:cool: Now to get dad to buy some for the RS:D

Glad you like it. Nice focus too BTW!

We had a nasty rattle from the back for sometime. Eventually I lost patience and had a fidle. Pulled off the plastic tailgate liner, the bit where the closing strap hangs, thinking I'd wrecked it but got it back on and hey presto, no rattle:cool:

6) Anyone know where you can get realistic, or even REAL "Tracker" stickers as a deterrent? Try abgraphics.co.uk. I think they do tracker stickers. 8) How careful should I be, exactly, near Rutted tracks, speedbumps and high curbs. VERY:eek: Lockable wheel nuts, someone was critiscising the VAG ones on here, any tips for additional locking nuts? prices? suppliers? reviews? Halfords do them, don't know how good they are? All the best with the new beast:cheers:
