  1. I also have a Minolta Z1 and think its the dogs danglies Bigger than the compact one you are looking at but you can't have everything.
  2. Our warning light keeps coming on for no reason. Ignoring it now as getting a little annoyed.
  3. Ours came with Pirelli P6000 which have just been changed after 35K, no big problems, not cracking, just only scrubbing on the edges but think thats common. The Dunlops on my micra are suffering with this cracking so I do know what you mean, these have been on for almost 5 years (24K) though.
  4. Nasty :thumbdwn: Hope you get it sorted without too much trouble
  5. Had to have the clucth repalced on the vRS a few weeks back. Was getting very heavy and then started slipping very badly. Only 36k miles, was done under warranty, dealer said something was sticking inside, but not sure what. Could be a similar problem maybe
  6. To be honest the paint on our silver vRS is the worst I've ever seen in terms of durability. :thumbdwn:
  7. I clean the insides as best I can with a toothbrush, and whatever wheel cleaner I happen to be using. Really you can only do half at a time without moving the car. I'm lazy so at any one time only half of each is clean :P But statisically I guess it averages out over time
  8. I've had 105 in 3rd, then got scared
  9. In other words he's thinking he got ripped off
  10. *drool* You can always tell when the car is shiny enough; you see the reflection of the photographer. Is that your Mini also?
  11. Thanks guys, sounds fairly impressive. I'm considering swapping the micra for one. MPG sounds pretty good, I drive like a granny anyway. I'm a fan of low down pull, have a habit of driving around slowly in 3rd in the micra and it just pulls almost from stand still, you try that in an Octavia vRS
  12. looks great, just like my dads Must get around to polishing it at some stage
  13. Hi Anyone on here drive a 1.6 Octy? Could do with some info on it. Any good? whats the fuel consumption like aound town? Hows the refinement, obvioulsy not as good as the 20vT, any input appreciated.
  14. T-cut should do the trick if its not down to the metal. Follow with a good buff up with your polish of choice. Auto Glym red label resin polish is good.
  15. No haven't tested one yet, but aim to do so soon. I don't question the speed of the car, I know they are quick and fuel consumption is far better than petrol. All diesels I've been in before have made me feel sick, the low frequency vibration, the noise and the stink they make. However the engine can't be that bad, who in their right mind would spoil such a great looking car with a crap engine. I'll reserve futher comment to after the test.
  16. Anyone know if there any plans to put the 1.8T in the Fabia? I see there is a new Ibiza with the 150bhp level of tune. I'm looking for a new city run around and really want a fabia with a turbo but not the diesel bit.
  17. Looks Ok but a bit boring. Also I read there will be no decent engines. (ie Petrol Turbos) zzz
  18. Merry Christmas to all Skoda drivers. Even though I don't post that much I read the forums often and find them most enjoyable, particulary the banter between the vRS gang and the van, I mean 4x4 lot. Hope everyone has a nice holiday and great 2004 :mw:
  19. 22, but technically its dads :drive:
  20. Go with the skud, wait will be worth it
  21. Hi mate nice to see you on here (its me NEIL Y from MSC forum), did you get the URL from my sig on there? Its certainly a culture shock when I get in the Octy instead of my 1.0 k11. The handling and the brakes are just as noctiable as the accleration, fantastic, Fab vRS must be almost as good, but obviously not quite :moodswing Ask the dealer for a test, they always seem to be friendly. Neil
  22. Yes but thats because the ones shown say things like Saxo, nova, punto, accord R type etc :llol:
