  1. You know when you take something for granted and you dont appreciate it, I've done that with non freezing weather. All the days I sat here and thought about taking the bike out but couldn't be bothered, now I cant take it out because it's too bloody cold and I miss it! Very annoying, once the weather warms up slightly I'm going to get her out for a wash and I'm planning my first ride already.
  2. My Panda is funny, if I leave it in 6th it pulls slowly from 60 - 80, but then hits 4000rpm and starts pulling really quite well, always makes me laugh. It's quite noisy though, when I was late for my train to Belgium I think I lost some hearing between the M1 and M20 :D It copes quite well for a little car though on the motorway so I guess the City/Mii/Up would be similar.
  3. Yeah, I should imagine it was a bit buzzy at that speed :D I went up to Doncaster last Saturday to pick up a wheel, on the way back I was sat with cruise on, this bloody Peugeot estate kept passing me, then slowing down, I must have overtaken them about 10 times down the M1. They must have been doing 85, then 75, then 85 again.
  4. Got a bit ****ed off this morning. Pulled away at a set of lights with a little Seat Mii in front, he went flying off down the slip road and was a fair bit ahead of me by the time we joined the dual carriageway. I stick the CC on at 80 leptons and catch up with the Seat, but as I start to pass he speeds up to sit just in my blind spot. It was only the pair of us on the road as far as we could see and I wasnt going to speed up anymore so just carried on. We sat for about 5 miles like it until he took an exit slip road and flashed his lights as he left. Quite what that was all about I dont know!
  5. My Panda has the most basic Bluetooth system ever, after all it is a bargain basement car but aside from needing to get the Mrs to translate when I set it up it works surprisingly well!
  6. Yeahhhhh, one of the guys at work with a vespa has invited me out with the scooter club, it's like everyone has forgotten I have a proper bike too :D I have almost got it out, but when I do I need to tax it, so I'm waiting till I will be able to ride it a reasonable amount. I think once we get towards the end of Feb and the weather isn't freezing then it'll come out. In the meantime I need to get cracking down the gym so I can get some new bike bits in spring (I've been putting it off for a while, dont want to spend money and it not fit in a few months.
  7. Started the CB today. It's been sat since I got it mot'd so my dad was saying how it would be flat by now (his Bandit and scooter both were flat having been left much less time) but it started straight away. :D I miss riding it, going to start a little FB group for the guys at work to arrange some ride outs.
  8. I'd rather get them sent back, refund them and bin them than giver her the £5 and she keep them.
  9. Lucky you! Beautiful looking car. Enjoy it and get some decent pictures up for us! :D
  10. Yup, I dont sell on there now for the same reasons. The odd low value item but thats it now.
  11. Haha, ok. I guess I could just message you on here with the ins and outs of it? We are having a 'pre season' race/shakedown on Thursday at Monza then kicking off properly the week after.
  12. Yeah, one has just picked his up, another mate is just looking at one to buy in a few months. Thats what makes the 140 so mad, I've found pre reg cars for £26,000 with 10 miles on them!
  13. Will be good to see how you get on with it, I have a riot on my scooter, 33bhp and CVT tranny but it's just a laugh to hoon about on. I was thinking about this the other day, my mates just got a M140i, it looks like a 118d M sport but has 335bhp and in the real world, it'd be with me on the CB or very close most of the time. It's 0-60 is only half a second slower than his old M3 :D
  14. Thats cool, I dont think many of us do (a couple dont have headsets at all). Are you on Facebook? I have a group on there I can add you too....
  15. Basics for the first 'Season' is A class/700 limit, 3 races of 15 min or so, no damage/fuel/tyre wear. I might change it up and have a short race then a longer one with pit stop etc but for now we'll see how 3 short ones go. There's a mixture of people joining in, one guy does 24 hour team endurance races at the local race sim place, others just play for fun so I dont wanna start out too in depth. :D
  16. Without the two sets of full figures and details it's not possible to give much comment. I'd assume the VW will have a much larger ballon payment but that is a stab in the dark tbh. Edit, are they both used?
  17. I'm collecting on my way to work tomorrow, but when you order it gives you a live stock level
  18. Just a quick post, I thought this might get a little more views in here than the Tech shed, but if the mods see fit then feel free to move it. I'm starting a Championship on Forza 6, BTCC style, 3 races each Thursday evening for a hour or so. All the details are in a Facebook group, if anyone fancies joining give me a shout and I'll add you. Cheers!
  19. Thank you! 15 litres for the mrs in blue and 15 for me in apple flavour, plus a pair of indicators for my Panda because they keep falling out :D
  20. I built one years ago, instead of going to school I stayed at home and built one for a week or two. It was a Schumacher mission carbon or something. I didn't have the cash to put a decent motor etc in it and flogged it after a few goes. I've toyed with getting another but I have less and less time spare.
  21. All the DSG boxes I've used have been good, I didnt find it a tiny be hesitant at times but I also thought it got better when you get the hang of it. That said the ZF 8 speed Gullyg mentioned is on another level, seriously impressive even after a quick spin I felt very comfortable with it. My mate (whos car it is) rates it big time, even with track use.
