Just for info...AXA will not cover a roof wrap :'(
-
The back of the black alloys ISN'T black, just natural alloy!! Galvanic corrision is a b*gger! Wont affected steel on steel
-
Tip:- use copaslip or high melting point grease!
-
I'd like to do mine but from a previous post about declaring it as a modification on your insurance has put me off somewhat, as it would cost £250+vat for just the wrap..

nockmeister replied to MartynVRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H7-477-Ultra-Power-Bulbs-Xenon-White-Headlights-Car-/160496785935?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item255e5a9a0f#ht_4512wt_982 I'm sure these are the bulbs Seboni121 fitted, i have got a set to, but not fitted yet..copied the link from the other headlight post -
I love the Prestige version of these mats...1cm thick!! I've got the standard Skoda mats and your right the quality is crap, i already have a heel indentation after a couple of weeks...

Anyone found mud guards for the vrs?
nockmeister replied to apmaman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Look at all the pics of rear fitted mudflaps...if there was an issue someone would have said!! Er the front flaps are LOWER than the rears as well!! The exhaust would ground before the flaps. I don't understand why there is an advisory about fitting these to the vRS Estate??? :( Mine fit fine -
true, true.. I don't understand why the Estate is taller than the hatch by 2cm??

The latest arrival - Worth the wait!

Offical: Skoda Fabia OEM Mudflaps Fit vRS
nockmeister replied to apmaman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Get them bought!! 20min fit, and you'll be able to punt them on after winter..I'll post some pics later of them on an Estate. Little tip when fitting the fronts turn the wheel to the opposite lock for max working space eg putting the offside flap on, full left lock -
Naaah, surely the interior ones aren't canbus compatable?? Ah well they are cheap as chips, I've paid £15 for a single naked LED before now!! They aren't a pain to change out, so it's not a biggie..
-
LOL...probably less than that really, didn't think heat would be an issue. I have the 8LED festoon from MarTTyn's link...need to source some quality LEDs and build my own

Offical: Skoda Fabia OEM Mudflaps Fit vRS
nockmeister replied to apmaman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Nope... you need Rear Mud Flaps : KEA 720 001 Fitted mine today. They fit better than the fronts, as there is a small gap on my fronts... -
Hmmm i've had a heat issue with my interior light. After leaving the driver door open for 10mins, the centre festoon has been heat damaged, its turned purple.. :(

Offical: Skoda Fabia OEM Mudflaps Fit vRS
nockmeister replied to apmaman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
It's because there is an advisory note against the parts on their stores ordering system. That says rear mud flaps not for Scout or RS . Of course the flaps actually fit, so there is mass confusion... -
Make sure they give you a DMI cable of your choice! Mine didn't last weekend, but a call to Skoda UK has retified it
-
All new Skoda's come with 7days free insurance, as posted above, be aware that there is a £500 excess! You should get a bit of parerwork with a code and telephone number. Ring the number, tell them the code and they activate ur insurance and send a copy of it to the dealers for them to tax the vehicle

I received 2 of these today http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290563415889?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Tried for ages to get the unit back into the cavity but no joy as it's slightly larger in depth than the original one. Probo fine for Fabia Hatch, but no good for Estate.. :(
-
...to a vRS?? I know this may sound like sacrilege to the chosen few, but I'll go for function over form everytime! It seems like you can buy the fronts, but the advisory note on the rears says something like "not for Scout or RS, or any body kit". Looking at the rear bumper arch profile/inner panel, there doesn't seem to be much difference between the non vRS and vRS?

I did exactly the same as you Trev, re: quick succesive button presses as i had an Octavia in 2003, and as sugggested I'll be getting mine reprogrammed...
