OK this is not a problem im looking for answers for but an observation. I managed to get a flat battery in the Superb at the weekend while camping RAC came out n jumped started the car. All is good RAC man goes off while I pack the car up. I dive in the drivers seat and go to fold out mirrors and bugger they dont work on the button :think: nor does central locking. I thought I must have blown a fuse will have a look when I get home later on the day (sunday) No fuse's blown no fault codes when scanning the car. Well I was to tired to look further. Dived in car monday for work little bit annoyed that car wasnt as it should. Dived in car this morning and it wouldnt turn over, jump started got to work and though bugger it days gona be dry I will charge the battery 11hours later I turn off charger dive in car and instictly turn button for mirrors and they fold out hang on I thought will try central locking when I get home and guess what..... it works yay. So why would two lower power output things not work when battery was low but car would start???? Hey ho thought I would just mention it incase anyone is experiancing same problems. Get your battery charged or tested. Sorry for rambling but im happy that I didnt have to send it to the workshops as they probably wouldnt have had a clue

have you had the car scanned for fault codes re door locks? And the fuction with the lights is pull up where ever you are turn lights and engine off, pull the flash lights using the stalk (like you would if putting lights on full beam) get out of car lock car and they should already be on.

Mins Pewter with Gibson Inventor marked on the top surface. If I open the flap there appers to be 99 stamped in the bottom?

Thought I would start a thread on here as I feal like Briskoda has a huge wealth of knowledge on many different things. So heres where I need help. I need to find somewhere to seel a Gibson Inventor medical spoon, I have search the internet and its dating anywhere between 1820-1860 ish. I have been to a fair few local antiques dealers and there not much help. So does anyone have an idea where best to sell this?

The MKI Octavia? isnt it glass to the top of the tailgate? And your looking at hanging a bike rack off the glass???? Not trying to be funny But I wouldnt want to risk it. Get a secondhand towbar and fit it yourself. then towbar bike rackn is the way to go.

are the motors the same throughout the range? Vagcat appears to indicate that they are but who knows.

I have no idea but sometimes frustration hides the obvious so please dont be offend by comment. I know mine work when main lights are on, but do they work with just side lights? Maybe headlights need to be on as per normal night time driving.
