  1. Simbo-cheers mate, im getting there.......slowly zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I take it that means that a viewer clicks on one link and then scrolls down to see all the photos? Im not stupid, honest:rolleyes: I cant be, im from Bradford:rofl::rofl:
  2. A few pictures from Brittany august 09-posted em couple of days ago-hopefullly these are bigger http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...france0444.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...france0456.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...france0456.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...france0499.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...france0490.jpg

  4. will do-work in salford......will keep em peeled good luck
  5. sounds familiar-thieves are putting front doors in for keys/cars in Manchester....as elsewhere im sure....was the guy in manchester?
  6. Hedge-sorry to hear. im in Manchester so will keep an eye out. Why do you think Manchester area?
  7. Cheers- i have cut and pasted photos from photobucket but they appear too small now like thumbnails? Any advice? Dan
  8. Cheers pal- i will try it. i presume i should be able to upload pictures as attatchments though?
  9. Yep should be up for that but might be more like 9pm for me:thumbup: Danroly
  10. takes nice pics-how did you upload onto brisky? I tried the obvious route-attatchments, browse, select pic then uplaod but keep getting a message saying somthing like "windows explorer could not find connection" annoying.
  11. like the close ups:thumbup:. what camera you got?
  12. cheers guys....i guess i will have to be more stealthy and less impatient in future although not always possible when legging it about at work. I could always go for a quick blast down the road before opening, unless its raining of course:rofl:.....which it does in Manchester.... a lot:mad:
  13. £99! thats a steal compared to the £300 the skoda dealers wanted for it......it aint going to stop scratches or bumps and judging by what you guys are saying it dont last that long! i like the idea of interior protection but there must be a cheaper spray you can buy-scotch guard type stuff. put the £300 toward insurance instead!
  14. my 07 vrs hatch often drips water into the boot and somtimes onto the rear seats when i open the boot. This usually happens when there has been lots of rain and there is a fair amount of water on the rear screen. Its as thought the channels on the boot seals cant cope with the volume of water and it spills over. Anyone have this problem/ advice on it. The car is still under warranty. Cheers Dan
  15. Enoch powell was a wrong un, pure and simple IMHO-the fact that you posted these views under the thread called "mindless selfish individuals" gives it a rather ironic edge and also has nothing to do with the subject-ie coppers and the law not really protecting us/doing the job..... Browny-i sympathise with your frustrations about coppers not being particularly helpful at times....i had an incicident 2yrs ago where i returned to my car to find a youth holding my reg plate in his hand, and it was snapped in half. He admitted he had done this so i tried to do the deccent thing and took him to his house to speak to his parents. when his dad told me to f*** off i decided to call the police-they said nowt i could do even though he had admitted it- i had to have witnessed it. next time i will say i have witnessed it. However i suppose we need cops and ther are some good ones, it just annoys when you get the response you did! Seboni-the cop, the youth and the dad were all British.......and none of them were deccent. It aint what colour you are that matters or where you are from...its what inside that counts
  16. Simon has it spot on-the petrol vrs is flexible enough to bibble about in 6th even at slow speeds, for added oomph just drop a couple of gears to accelerate quickly. I can get 37-40mpg on a run to work (60-65mph on motorway) and even when i boot it it rarely seems to go much below 28-30mpg. The steering is accurate and you can adjust seat and wheel loads. Someone else has said it already on here....best thing, book a test drive and find out what you think
  17. no pictures mate but saw a white vrs hatch reccently and it looked awsome-swine to keep clean though and white cars only look good when clean and even better with blacked windows IMHO. Good luck with your purchase:thumbup:
  18. welcome to the club.......no sleep......no money..... no life:rofl: only joking congrats, well done:D there's nowt like it and it changes your life for good
  19. [quote name=homedad; It is a lot of fun' date=' but it is also very dangerous. I stopped 2 years ago when my son arrived, and at the same time a guy who was riding behind me crashed and died, leaving a pregnant wife and 2 kids. That was a night i never want to repeat again and wifey was desperate for me to give it up. If I was a single guy I would still be on 2 wheels, but family comes first now.[/quote] cheers home dad sobering advice-im a dad too so safety important to me as well....the misuss had a brother who was killed on his bike by a drunk driver.... RIP. But i know others who have never come off badly...my old man for one. The missus sugested i just do off road but not sure of costs etc. Thanks for the advice
  20. Bit of a two fold this one but after spending 2 traffic free weeks in france enjoying the lovely Bretton roads in the octy we returned to traffic jams and congestion on the m5 and m6. Why are GB roads so cack? I know this is general CAR chat but have seen a few posts on bikes and quite a few Briskodians appear to be bikers. I have been thinking of getting a moto for a while-seeing the bikers filtering through the traffic today confirmed some of the advantages of 2 wheeled transport. Plus i have been watching French bikers blatting around the countyside and it looks too much fun to miss out on. In short.....i want one! I have ridden bikes a few times before....only off road though and i dont pretend im any good. Any advice about cost of passing test/a half deccent bike (nowt daft fast) and general do's and dont's Cheers Dan

Looking forward to the next one allready Matthew Matt Cheers for sorting it out-was good to get the car on the RR and to be assured that it does put out 200bhp:thumbup: Was a shame i couldnt get there earlier but hey ho. Hope your brothers car is ok Dan
