The salesman told me it was a feature and to always let the car know where you're going for a long journey. It definitely works for me, unfortunately it doesn't take into account the return journey.

I haven't encountered any of the app problems you seem to be experiencing, petrol consumption always shows as zero for every EV journey I do, mine is set for l/100km. Without home charging it's a very frustrating and expensive way to drive any type of EV I wouldn't recommend depending on the public charging system and the Irish system seems to be a lot better than the UK. I just have one schedule in the app, start at 11pm and have the car ready for 8am 7 nights a week, the nights it isn't plugged in it just skips and the next time it works perfectly. I never look at range tbh I've never seen one in any car that's even close to being accurate.

Another way to preserve battery is to program your route into the satnav that way the car knows where you're going and will keep battery available for congested parts of the journey.

Buying New Superb: Option Questions

Do you not find the continued bouncing after a speed ramp very sickening? It reminds me of a MK2 Cortina I had with knackered from shocks. -
Buying New Superb: Option Questions

I'm not familiar with the UK model line up but would you not be better going to the next model up? I have DCC and select the hardest setting as soon as I start the car, it makes the car so much nicer to drive. My previous car was non DCC and was sickeningly soft to drive on country roads. I use the wireless pad all the time I find it great it came as standard with the car, had to upgrade my phone though😉. I rarely use the Columbus but in conjunction with the virtual dash is very handy when you need it. A higher spec car might be available more easily. -
VCDS options on Superb III

Worked perfectly many thanks 😊 -
Very good I'll have a look later, I'm on the phone now, thanks for that.

Mine doesn't have a sound generator, thank ****, they're the most stupid thing ever put on a car.

Unfortunately brexit tax makes purchases from the UK unaffordable, change that to Euros add in the extras and it's the best part of 100 Euros.

Not available according to my local dealer, the Skoda experience is becoming very sour for me tbh. They just don't seem interested anymore.

The car was an ex demo, I’d say somebody mangled it on a kerb and they put the cheapest tyre available on it luckily the alloy is unmarked unless it was replaced too. There were outstanding payments owed for tolls as well, both umbrella’s missing from the doors and the removable boot light was missing too. Suffice to say I won’t be dealing with that dealer again. I’ve been there, done that with tyres, usually trading in a car with almost new tyres, I’m not doing that with this car, 4 cheapos if it really needs tyres otherwise it’s getting traded in with what’s on it in 2024. Got shafted on the finance too but that’s a whole other story😡😡. Anybody know where I’d buy a boot light? I can’t find one anywhere, all sites are trying to sell me the fixed boot lights.

Maybe it's my tyres but the road noise is terrible, I've no complaints about the EV or ICE side of things it performs impeccably in that regard but as speed increases the noise becomes very intrusive. They're the original tyres the car was sold with, except one oddball cheapo noname that I never spotted when test driving it (it's on the front left) .

No, I wouldn't buy another, next time I'll go full EV, probably an I.D.3 as I'm on VW PCP finance, ideally I'd go for the MG.

It's so bad on mine I was considering getting smaller wheels, I'm afraid I'll mess up the speedo and being a phev would it affect the economy etc? (Not that I'm actually getting any economy from the battery) Let us know what you think. Most of my road noise comes from the back, there are times I've thought the tailgate was open it was so loud.

Superb IV Hatchback Boot Dimensions
j caff replied to Danielwa2's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Is that a spare wheel you have in the boot? It really stresses me out not having a proper spare and jack. -
Well, the superb does...

I find the road noise shocking in the iV, it's so bad we stopped listening to our audiobooks. The 2019 TDI it replaced was much much quieter on the open road. The old car had 16" wheels on nexen tyres, the iV has 19" wheels with a much lower profile tyres. I'd advise you give it a comprehensive test drive before committing.

You never checked if it was switched off? Seriously?

Why would you expect it to work when it's turned off? Confused.com🤔🤔

VCDS options on Superb III
j caff replied to BurialConstant's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Looking forward to doing that one. Any chance of getting it to remember individual settings from the DCC? -
I don't know if it is or not, I was hoping it was just restricted by software.
-
Yes there is a dedicated sport button. I tried it once but it seemed to use the engine all the time even though there was plenty of battery available, the engine only switched off when stopped at a junction and would immediately restart as soon as I moved off, very lively drive though 💥💥

Does anyone know if there's an update available to give 7Kw charging?

They will also come on if the wipers come on for more than 3 successive wipes. -
There's a brilliant guide here to do it yourself, why pay a dealer silly money?
